Post Parkside at Wade

My apartment is decent. I’ve only seen three insects in my apartment since I’ve been here, nearly two years.
My complaints are like those of other reviewers. I honestly believe I’ve lost a percentage of my hearing because I live here. The construction is constant, 5 – 6 days a week and it is absolutely deafening. The walls of my apartment have vibrated before. I think that is the real reason for the many cracks and chips in the walls in a fairly new building.
The rent hikes are constant and ridiculous. This is not New York, Chicago, Miami, L. A… heck, this isn’t even Philadelphia. Nothing about this place warrants the amount of money they try to gouge out of residents.
There is an unusual degree of turnover in the leasing office staff. Every time I’ve dropped in for something, I’ve run into completely unfamiliar people.
There is a large percentage of frat-​boy/​sorority-​girl residents who are very rude and entitled and severely diminish any sense of «community» the apartments might have had.
I won’t be renewing my lease again. As far as I know, they haven’t been able to fill these units in over two years, yet they still make no attempt to retain the residents they currently have.

After living here for nearly 18 months, I can now give a more informed review.
I live in the building closest to the construction and can say that I’ve never once heard it, but my unit faces the wooded area — a view that I’m truly sad to be leaving… in fact, probably the only thing I’m really sad to be leaving.
As for complaints about pets and the dog park, i COMPLETELY agree. If you have anything but a toy dog, you pay $ 1000 to have said dog, and that money seemingly goes to NO use. I have to wade through dog feces to get to my car if I parallel park on the street.
I disagree with anyone that may say these apartments are poorly constructed — everything is quite sturdy and the walls are pretty thick. It’s more like they were lazy with finishing touches in a rush to get occupants. For example, the trim around my balcony window never got painted.
They are very responsive to maintenance requests. The kitchens are great (except mine’s not AT ALL level). My floor isn’t particularly noisy, but when walking to/​from my car, I’ve heard a few balcony parties. The weekend’s beer cans littered around and things like a random hot dog left in the stairwell for multiple days, I could certainly do without.
I terminated my lease today. The person that made the leasing office approachable left a long time ago, and they probably aren’t actually sad to see me go (even though she fakely said that in a complete monotone without actually looking at me). Someone else will snatch this right up. After everything negative I said, it is a great, beautiful unit with an amazing balcony space to listen to the frogs and bugs at night!

The Positives:
Apartments are new and have upgraded kitchens and baths. The pool is very nice with great furniture. The location is convenient for access to Wade and 40.
The Negatives:
The neighborhood is a constant construction site! Be prepared to get woken up at 7am every single day by loud banging and beeping. The workers literally do not take 1 day off and it’s deafening. We asked to move to a quieter place since there was nothing in our lease about the potential for construction and were quoted a ridiculous price to move into an inferior unit. They couldn’t have cared less about our situation.
The dog park is disgusting — full of mud, holes and dog feces since nobody cleans up after their pets around here. I am a responsible dog owner but am definitely in the minority here.
Suggestions:
Provide some tools for residents who have dogs to take care of the dog park, like cities do. If you’re not going to clean it — at least allow us to do it! We need shovels/​rakes to fill in holes and clean up after irresponsible dog owners.
Take responsibility! If my leasing agent told me not to worry about construction right outside my window, at least offer me a comparable unit at the same price to offset this awful inconvenience. This is a minor expense for you and will result in a much higher retention rate. I’ll be moving out once my lease is up because of this experience.

Very nice, a little pricey, but convenient. The building seems to be falling apart… maybe because it’s new and is «settling»… but cracks and leaks everywhere.

These people are really dishonest and they absolutely refuse to address some of the issues involving harassment of tenants. Avoid.
Go figure the most honest review about entitled frat boys who ruin the amenities and party constantly is «not recommended» — I’ve hardly had a moment of quiet enjoyment while living here and the courtesy officer quit recently so now there’s no one to deal with the roving bands of drunk college kids who harass tenants.
I’ve never lived somewhere so overly concerned with what you have on your balcony but not the atrocious behavior of their tenants. Blakelee is terrible and useless.
