Had the Butter Chicken, There were 6 small pieces(Chunks) of chicken in a bland sauce and a ½ cup of rice, for 8.99 what a rip-off. Tandori Chicken, a small thigh, a ¼ piece of breast and a drum stick that looked like it came off a Pigeon, with less than a ¼ cup of rice again a rip-off. The best deal was the Vegetable Somosas they were pretty good. I will look for another Indian Restaurant this place pretty much robbed me.

They know me by name here since I get the chicken biryani to go practically every week. The quality of that dish has been pretty consistent so far for me, and the attendants are polite and gracious. It’s not the best Indian food in the area, but for the price, it’s a good deal.

Pretty good Indian-Pakistani food(I’m pretty pick with South Asian food) whether you get the buffet or order items. We have also catered from here and they were very accommodating. The people who work there are very nice and they always have fun Bollywood tunes playing. For Muslim patrons there is a very convenient area that one can use for prayer, which is great if you go for iftar.

Iced tea didn’t count as a «free drink» with a condo that is supposed to come with a free drink. Most if our food was burnt. VERY cheap meat and stingy portions(both facts are disguised under rice upon arrival of food). We were the only customers in the restaurant but it took about 45 minutes for our food to come and again way too long for our check to come. I DONOT recommend this place.

Always great food with hot fresh naan! If you have any issues they always adjust and hep out for eg the other day I didn’t like the meat in my nihari and they added more. The buffet has a huge variety as well. Friendly staff and good authentic food!

This place is so good. I’ve only had biryani in one other place(Houston) but I really like the way they do it here. It has so much flavor and spices, it’s like a bollywood party in my mouth. The buffet on the weekends are good, but they need to turn the heat up because the food got a little cold. Otherwise this place is one of my all time favorite in Raleigh.

Its nice to find a quick, fairly low priced place in a college area that actually makes some of their menu from scratch. I would go just for the hand made naan. Definitely worth grabbing if you are in no mood to cook yourself and appreciate varied spices and heats in your food!

We had the Lala Tandoor Combo and the Chicken Biryani. It was the right move because we got a flavor for what the place had to offer. The tandoori chicken in the combo was soft texture that went really nice with the naan. The combo also came with sheekh kebabs which were pretty good. However, the best part handsdown was the biryani! Woa! My tastebuds really lit up. The place was clean and the ambiance was typical for a South Asian place. My wife and I went on a Saturday night it was a good place to have a zesty biryani dinner. It is located in a shopping complex in the back corner and is a hidden gem of the city.

We always tried a take out. and every time they got our order wrong or the dish itself did not justify the name !! Chilly Paneer, by name it suggests that more of paneer and curry coated over it. guess what, we got this dish to home and when opened, 5 small pieces of paneer and rest all capsicum in a gravy. we have to literally search for the paneer by digging through the gravy… When brought this matter to the owner(Ayesha), she is unapalogitic and overall disgrace to run the business. remember customer is always right !!! This place has become very greedy. mint money and ditch the service completely is the motto. This will be my last visit to this place.

Very inconsistent. The first time I went there, I ordered their deal makhani. I told the lady that I liked it spicy and she assured me I would enjoy it. I took it to go and feasted at home. The samosa was to die for. The dal was perfect. I went back a second time. I ordered the dal again and told the guy that I liked it spicy. The guy told me that he was eating it and that it was perfect. I got it home and it was terrible. It had no flavor at all and wasn’t even a little spicy. I tried a third time because the first time was so good. I ordered the dal again. I tell the guy that I wanted it spicy and that the last time it had been bland. I got it home and it had hunks of raw ginger in it. The lentils weren’t cooked properly. So that was it for me. That first meal makes me wish they were consistent because it was awesome, but I don’t like playing roulette with my dinner.

Heard a lot for biryani but didn’t live to my expectations. Presentation, ambience, taste, seating, nothing was not up to the mark. Looked more of a college or university crowd based restaurant. Price of buffet was similar to other Indian restaurants in M’ville/Cary area but not the same variety and taste. I am not going here again definitely.

Worst catering I have ever dealt with and the people were rude and did not want to do their job. I would not recommend to go there or use them to cater a large crowd. Food was also cold.

Really awful food. I don’t like this place. Food wasn’t cooked well the 2 – 3 times I have been at this place. There are much much better options if you crave Indian food.

The location of this restaurant is a bit unfortunate. The entire shopping center is quite dilapidated and as previous commenters have said a bit sketchy. Still, with the amount of Southeast Asian students there are on the Centennial campus, it makes sense to have a solid Pakistani restaurant here. Given that it is Pakistani the flavoring is a bit spicier than Indian(great for those of us that like it spicy), but the menu is almost identical. The food is worth the visit, the staff are very friendly, other than the dilapidated state of the area and the inside of the restaurant, it’s excellent.

I don’t know whose been writing these reviews but this place is BAD. I order take out, my Karachi chicken consisted of five pieces of chicken! all were wing joints! no breast! no leg! Five half pieces of wing in. Half decent sauce. My wife had chick peas which consisted of a small amount of chick peas(really, what does a tin of chick peas cost 59 cents? Food looks nothing like menu Definitely my worst meal ever, EVER. Plus I was oversold extra rice. So $ 23 for quarter can of chick peas and five wing joints in sauce plus rice and nan. First and last visit

This review is based only on their chicken/mutton Biryani and lamb curry. I’ve never had the buffet or other items. Both have been standard take out items for close to two years, and while I really liked both initially, I’ve noticed a steady decline in everything from the quality, prices to the quantity over the last year or so. The last couple of times we’ve had the biryani, I’ve found it lacking in flavor, overly greasy and worse the meat hasn’t been tender. Somehow the quality of meat(chicken, mutton and lamb) that they use hasn’t really been good of late, the meat is tough and chewy which it really shouldn’t be in a biryani. Their serving size(for takeout) is smaller than it used to be and the prices higher :( Will begin looking for a new place to cater to Biryani hankerings

Quick, tasty and cheap. I got the Butter Chicken and it was delish. Mmm mmm mmm… Not THE best I’ve ever had, but definitely the best I’ve had for $ 8. I called ahead for pickup and it was ready when I got there– no wait. The girl at the counter was very nice and helpful. Two things I would like different– a leeeetle more chicken and the sauce to be a bit thicker, but for the convenience(2 minutes from my house) and how affordable it is, I will definitely be back to try the palak chicken and chicken tikka masala…

I was craving Indian food late one evening, a few hours before I had to be awake to work a Radiothon at Duke. I was VERY hesitant to try this place(or any other Indian place I had never been to) mere hours before the most important two days of my working-year(i’d probably be shunned forever if I got food poisoning and couldn’t work) but my craving for naan and butter chicken was too strong… I looked on my GPS and found that Laziz Biryani Corner was the closet Indian place so I headed over! First off this place is in a kind of sketchy area. It’s very poorly lit and there were a lot of guys sitting out in front of the convenience store just looking around and staring at the people walking by. Luckily the inside of the restaurant is nicer, though it’s still simple and a bit dated. I didn’t mind since I was getting take-out, but I imagine it wouldn’t be a very romantic place for a date, or a professional place for a business lunch. Service was decent. I was greeted immediately and placed my order but then I was was abandoned as the girl left the front room and didn’t return for about 30 minutes when my food was ready. I could have stole all their buffet food or wandered off with a random chair and no one would have noticed! It was weird and awkwardly quiet. When I got my food I was pretty much ready to start chewing on the chair so I rushed home to partake in wonderful Indian cuisine! And you know what? It was actually very good! The butter chicken had a nice heat and the garlic naan was to die for! I even enjoyed the chai tea I grabbed as a last minute decision before leaving! I would definitely come back, though probably during the day and only for take out. I’d like to try more of the menu!

Laziz Biryani Corner serves delicious Indian cuisine and I was blown away by the quality and flavors in the vegetarian biryani. It was spicy, complex, and thoroughly delicious. It was also a *very* generous portion, even by my big-eating standards, and I had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. If you go there, do yourself a favor and try the biryani. They named the restaurant for it, after all. The ambiance is not great. This is a place where you order at the counter and eat on styrofoam plates with plastic forks. The restaurant was very cold(late November) but they did turn up the heat for us, to be fair. On the plus side, the entrees are very inexpensive. Most are in the range of $ 6-$ 10. I do have one serious criticism and that is the buffet. There were six items on the buffet, scant rice, and burned naan. My husband liked the dal but was not pleased with much else. He shared my biriyani and my daughter’s paneer, and he loved them both, but the buffet was not worth the price. One thing to know ahead of time — they make their food very spicy! I love it, but if you’re shy about spices, you might want to let them know ahead of time.
