Kroger

This Kroger has great customer service. I was able to locate all the items I needed for Thanksgiving and the lines weren’t ridiculously long! Store is very clean and organized and it seems they have ample staff available if you need help locating an item.

I’ve been going to this Kroger since I moved to the area. The selection is good and the newly rearranged produce section has a good layout.
My complaints are that they are consistently (almost every time I go) out of paper bags. Paper bags are more easily recycled. Also, last time I went, my friend wanted to sign up for the Kroger rewards card, and they were out of those as well. Seems like there may be a restocking issue at the registers.

This is by far the worst kroger I have every been to. The bathroom was horrid… I went in dry, had to clean the urine of the floor and the feces off the toilet, just so I could use the facilities. Two employees and a manager came and went without washing their hands… When I finished my business, the pee from the other stall had worked it’s way too mine and was all over my shorts… I never made it past the bathroom. I went to Harris Teeter instead. They keep their store clean and proper… Unlike their parent company, kroger…

Today this store lost a long time customer over 2 candy bars. I was advised by the cashier «this is the express lane & you have too many items «there was no one in line
Behind me nor was there anyone in front of me ! I was a little taken back. The lane was not clearly marked. I looked at my cart & asked «how many am I allowed «. She replied «15 but never mind the old lady behind you just left !» I am shocked. Finished my transaction. Check my receipt. 17 items. Sorry I inconvenienced you Alexis. I shopped at this store 2 – 3 times a week & I get treated better at Walmart ! They will bet my business now!

This is a big store with a huge selection of products. We found the produce section to be quite good, and it had a large selection of organic vegetables. You have to get one of their discount cards to get the best prices, they will give you one at checkout.

Better prices and selection than most grocery stores in Raleigh. And this location is bigger than most. Stopped going as often as I used to when they stopped carrying the Tastykake lemon pies I like. I asked a manager if he could order them and he took my info and said he would call me either way so I wasn’t left waiting, but I never heard back from them. After several months without the pies, they had them again last trip, but who knows if they will last.

I love this super-​sized Kroger! Between the all the variety and the friendly helpful staff, it is a pleasure shopping here.

This store is huge! It has a kitchen appliance section which is handy. Items are organized a little crazy. For example canned tomatoes are with pasta sauce instead of canned vegetables. But once you go more frequently you can start remembering where items are located just like with any new store. As large as this store is I have had a few times that the items I wanted were not available for example deli meat without nitrites. The staff are average for customer service. Usually when I ask staff where something is they tell me which aisle but they never walk me there. Prices seem reasonable and you can load online discounts simply onto your card from their website.

Rude, disrespectful, and racist. You can bet your ass that I will never be going to this Kroger again. I was treated with the utmost disrespect by the manager, Ken Tuchscherer, and as soon as I find the contact information for whoever is above him, I will file a complaint. They ought to be ashamed for treating their customers with such asinine and blatant disrespect!

Really good customer service!
I wanted a set of brown TV tables (image that, furniture at a grocery store). They had 3 out of 4 displayed. The short of it is that I got the display at a deeply discounted price. Hello bedside tables and living room side table.
I also needed a raincheck and a money order. …from the same lady who’d obviously been there for a while that day. She and her colleagues made this all happen in a smooth, timely manner. There was no eye-​rolling or sighs. I like that in a customer service rep!

This is my second review for a Kroger, this location being near my work.
I can’t add a lot more than what has already been said, but I will second the decent organic/​natural section, ample variety and quantity of produce and they do stock acidophilus milk so bonus for those lactose intolerant milk consumers.
It is lacking a fuel station, so a bit of a bummer. Otherwise, it’s pretty similar to the rest of the Krogers in the world and definitely fills the gap between Food Lion and Harris Teeter. I will still do most of my grocery getting at Trader Joes, but I get milk, yogurt and a few pantry items here when they go on sale.

Kroger is Fred Meyer version in Seattle. They have everything here. Staffs are really nice at this location. I’ve been here everyday since I arrived here in Raleigh cause the location is so close to my hotel. They have everything I needed.

Based upon their weekly ad, my weekly grocery trip for my elderly parents was at Kroger.
I found the store to be huge, clean, and well stocked. One of the items I specifically went to Kroger for was the advertised chicken drumsticks, which were out of stock in the meat dept. I inquired of a nearby employee, who quickly checked out the situation and assured me a fresh shipment had just arrived and the product would be restocked within five minutes. Her comment was correct — another employee was soon refilling the display case with product.
This particular location of Kroger is a little far for me to make it a weekly shopping destination, as I have multiple Food Lion & Lowe’s Foods locations nearer to my residence. (Kroger closed a closer location to me late 2012). I also noticed that away from the advertised specials that regular priced items were in my opinion at a higher shelf price than competitors. One example I noticed were the store brand cookies. The oatmeal cookies I usually purchase at Food Lion sell for $ .99, and the comparable Kroger brand was $ 1.29.

What can I say about a supermarket that I visit at least 3 times a week?
It’s a good store, never very crowded although the parking lot is usually full (which is a pain). There is a terrible odor that comes from an area behind the lot which is sometimes unbearable as you walk in but it’s not actually coming from the store so you can’t really blame them.
Kroger is the only local supermarket that carries acidophilus milk which is why it’s my main grocery store, but it has a lot of good points. The produce section is pretty big and fresh. Prices are good and I’ve rarely found a product on the shelf that is out of date. They have a good selection of wine and local beers. Overall the employees are friendly and helpful.

3 stars only because this one is close to my job as oppose to the one that’s closer to home is so much more nicer.
Fresh produce all week is impressive for these places.
Never a long line, even in the self check out. I like that they have a natural section as well as a organic variety.
Prices are good, cheaper than our other local grocery store.

This Kroger completes my ‘holy grocery shopping trinity’ consisting of Trader Joe’s, Costco and… Kroger. Yes — those three stores are within .5 miles of each other. So convenient, especially as gas prices climb. Frankly, the store could use a redo — it looks a little tired, but the selection of food and the prices/​sales make me overlook that without blinking. Plus, if you chat with the folks at the butcher/​meat area for a couple of minutes, you will end up with a personally-​cut-​just-​for-​you wonderfull selection of meat for your dinner. They have a solid selection of organic and international food and I’ve had good luck in finding whatever I needed. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful.

Big fan of the Six Forks Kroger! The produce is generally quite fresh, there’s a good selection of ‘natural’ foods, including my favourite meat substitute, Quorn, good prices on just about everything and excellent customer service. They’re redoing the produce department right now and there are exposed areas of flooring which, combined with the low lighting in that area, gives it a shabby feeling but overall the store seems well maintained and turnover of perishable goods is quick — never bought anything here that was past its expiration date. I’m sure when the renovations are complete, the produce section will lose its current cave-​like look and feel. I haven’t sampled any of their meat department offerings but a friend swears by it; my only nit-​pick would be that their bakery breads are loaded down with high fructose corn syrup, a big no in my book. All in all, it’s convenient, priced right, offers an excellent selection of ‘curious’ foods like tomatillos, parsnips, swiss chard and jicama, and again, the customer service is top-​notch.
