Jin’s Dry Cleaners & Tailors

They do a good job and are fairly priced. I highly recommend. The only downside is parking (lack of). I had to circle around a few times before I got an open spot. I don’t parallel park well though.

I’ve had several shirts tailored and many pairs of pants hemmed at Jin’s. I’m always recognized when I come in and greeted with a smile. The work is solid and always on-​schedule. This is probably the best option for dry cleaning and tailoring for anyone who lives downtown.
I’m a big fan of Five Points: pizza, a barber shop, a 50s diner, a pharmacy, a movie theater, craft beer, gas stations, AND a tailor? Very nice.

I took 2 dresses in for alterations, picked them up, paid and went home. One dress did not receive some of the alterations and I went back to store. She refused to fix it, argued that the alterations were done as ordered and then didn’t speak good English after that.
I had stopped going there for about 10 years because the same thing happened before. I thought I would give them another try. If you take items there, it is imperative that everything is closely checked at that time, or «buyer beware; customer is always wrong».

I have been going to Jins for about 10 years and very odd to say, but I am always smiling when I leave (who says that about a Dry Cleaner). This family owned business knows your name and greets you like you are their most valuable customer. That is rare these days. Now, finally after my Fiancé and I set a date to marry I bought my dress in Denver and brought it to Jins for alterations. They took the time to measure twice (!) and insisted I return a week before the wedding to ensure time for last minute adjustments. I did not need to go to a Bridal Shop. I just needed to follow my instinct and give the people who never let me down a chance to delight me. And they did. Word of advice: if a service never lets you down over the years it’s okay to give them a chance on something that they had not done for you before. They earned the opportunity to do their finest work and they certainly did it! Thank you Jins!

My family and I have been in the triangle area for over 15 years and will not go anywhere else besides Jin’s. The staff have been some of the best people I’ve come to know in the area. From friendly smiles to nice conversations, I’ve always felt welcomed here. I’ve been able to come in every week and leave a satisfied customer!
