History

Established in 2006.

Since November 2006, Jim’s Auto Service has operated in a small 24′ X 30’shop with an above ground lift. Business has grown steadily and we have moved to a larger shop at 3711 Tarheel Drive in Raleigh. The shop is It is equipped to provide all major repairs and automotive maintenance. The principal operating concept has been to provide excellent customer service by providing the highest quality work using the best parts at competitive prices. The goal is to retain customers and grow our business by word of mouth.

Business Owner

Jim grew up in Danvers Massachusetts a small town 20 miles north of Boston. His Dad ran a taxi cab business with a fleet of Checker cabs. Jim learned auto repair and more importantly learned how valuable scheduled preventive maintenance is to vehicle dependability and longevity. Many of his cabs reached 350,000 miles without any major engine trouble.

Jim opened Jim’s Auto Service and has pursued excellence and service. He is an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician and takes pride in keeping current with the latest automotive technological advances to include hybrid and plug in electric cars.

On his onw time he is an avid motorcyclist. His trips have brought him across the country and to Alaska. He also restores and operates steam engines, and you will find him operating the steam engine powering the sawmill at the NC State Fair. You will find Jim restoring and maintaining vintage and muscle cars.
