Cute and Great Looking Boutique! Cool Bags, Scarves and Accessorizes, Fingerless Mittens and Cool women’s Headwear for cold weather! The Lady working here was sweet and was making sure a Gentleman shopper was getting the best gift while still pleasantly welcoming all the customers who were coming in!

I cannot judge Galatea on the clothes, as it’s just not my style. However, I have really great things to say about Galatea. 1. The staff is fantastic. The owner is a huge pet lover and will allow your dog in her store. They are currently offering a discount if you bring in pet food. 2. I love shopping at Seaboard Station and avoiding the mall at all costs. 3. They sell jewerly from local designers that is wonderful. Its fun to look around there and to support local merchants.

Love the clothes! Great selection of clothing for all sizes, shoes, jewelry and much more. A great place to shop when you’re looking for something a little different. Love that they support local vendors and feature clothing that’s cut for real women.

The Pygmalion reference as a store name is subtle. I get it; but don’t quite see the link with how transformed or brought to life you’ll be if you shop here. Despite that, I found Galatea to be a classy store but with a bohemian laid-​back vibe.
The separates were mostly of softer, less constructed fabrics, and of styles you don’t see in the mass market stores. The fabric textures could work well for both casual or professional wear. It’s always good when you can add something to your wardrobe without fear of seeing it on someone else the next week. With that; however, Galatea isn’t someplace for young fashion, but rather a store for the woman who feels young at heart without necessarily being slotted into the «middle-​age» genre of clothing. The clothes aren’t inexpensive, though, so be prepared.
Galatea also has some truly beautiful jewelry, scarves and handbags to complete whatever look you’re after. The ladies working here cheerfully answered my questions and made recommendations on some of the jewelry I was perusing, but were not pushy, overbearing, or shadowing me around the store like some crazy stalkers.
It’s not a place I’d gravitate toward, mostly because it isn’t my style; but I wouldn’t mark it off my list if I needed something different.
