I used to come here a lot when I lived on the side of town. Now that live in Apex area I don’t frequent it as much. But their ice cream is just as delicious as ever. Definitely some of the best ice cream in the triangle.
Today, I ordered the single scoop of banana pudding ice cream on the homemade sugar cone and it was perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sweet, real vanilla wafers and tons of that creamy banana goodness. Cone was crisp and fresh and you could tell the milk used to make it was real, good quality milk.
Thankfully, their milk is hormone and antibiotic free. So you can rest assured knowing you’re giving your family (And yourself) something that fulfills the sweet cravings but is also good for them. Support this local business! You won’t be disappointed.

I found the taste of my ice cream to be slightly below average at best. It was served too soft, melting immediately even on a cold night, and the prices were way too high for the very small portions that were served. It was kind of like a food truck experience, as customers have to buy ice cream at a window and stay outside. The impersonal experience also reminds me of a transaction at a gas station or currency exchange. So, you get even less value because of that.
Meanwhile young inexperienced servers running the shop seemed to be poorly trained, lazy, and delivered below average service. Didn’t live up to the hype at all and likely a one and done experience for me. I prefer the ice cream I buy at the markets, for a more enjoyable experience…

Fresh is such a great concept of an ice cream store. All natural ice cream from my the best – Maple View farm. I loved how it stays open late and encourages customers to hangout and play games, mingle, etc, all without A/​C, bathrooms, and the like, so you end up really not minding that you drove to a walk-​up ice cream joint. It also makes sense anyways because who actually drives with an ice cream cone in hand and doesn’t end up making a mess? Nobody. So yes, after you get our cone, stick around and play cornhole, connect-​4, and talk.
I loved all the flavors I got to try. My friend got the strawberry cheesecake milkshake and that was delicious. I got the campfire smore flavor in a waffle cone and it was really good, but very quick to melt. It was even worse of a problem for my boyfriend who got a doublescoop, and he was racing against time to eat it before it would drip (.it ended up still dripping everywhere a lot).
Anyways, I think next time I come back, I’ll be sure to get whatever flavor ice cream I’m feeling in a milkshake instead – nice and neat!

Fresh is a very popular place during the summer, but don’t let the incoming cooler weather steer you away from this delicious ice cream! For all you pumpkin lovers like me, they have SPICED PUMPKIN PIE ice cream! It is absolutely amazing! We went this past weekend for a late treat and I couldn’t contain my excitement when I saw this flavor on the board. There are bits of pumpkin pie crust in the ice cream adding an extra something to the texture and the pumpkin flavor is completely on point! It is the perfect item to bridge summer and fall.
While Fresh is a little pricey when compared to other ice cream places, it is worth it. They have a great variety of flavors and I have loved everything I have tried so far, like the Salted Caramel, Espresso, and Vanilla Nutella. But another clear winner is the Brown Sugar Maple Bacon. It has big pieces of bacon and is unlike any ice cream I’ve had before. As for the serving sizes, they really pack the ice cream in the cups. To me, it seems like you get more ice cream if you order a cup rather than a cone.
If you do decide to come when the weather gets cooler, beware that it is all outside seating. They have lots of big picnic tables, so there is plenty of room for big groups.
TIP — Bring your own water with you. They do have free water in a cooler, but it isn’t chilled. We made the mistake of getting some water on a warm night and it was not refreshing at all.

Fresh is clearly a popular spot! We parked, waited in line, and placed our orders. I had a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone (so basic, right?). We walked around the corner and waited for our cones, and bam, there they were after a brief wait. Chocolate is chocolate… nothing special, nothing that knocked my socks off. I was craving it. My husband had this delicious ice cream that was amazing and I regretted not getting it (fail, I don’t know what it was…). There are so many options and so many things that look delicious (and probably way better than JUST chocolate) there’s literally something for everyone. If we are up that way again and looking for ice cream, we’ll be sure to stop back in!

This place has the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Their bacon brown sugar ice cream is to die for. One scoop on a waffle cone is plenty for me and it’s a generous portion. Prices are pretty good as well.

I’ve been to Fresh twice now and thoroughly enjoyed my ice cream both times. It’s a great place to come hang out at night especially on a nice summer night. There is only outdoor seating and you walk up to a window to order. The first time I was here, I got a 2 scoop waffle cone with with Colombian espresso bean and sea salt caramel fudge. Both were fantastic with a great depth of flavor. The espresso is really prevalent, highly recommend for coffee lovers, and the sea salt caramel was a perfect blend of sweet caramel with salt to taste and rich fudge swirls. The ice cream in general is really smooth and creamy and has a great soft texture. It’s $ 5 for a 2 scoop waffle cone, so it’s a little pricey but worth the money in my opinion.
Most recently I tried the vanilla nutella and the brown sugar maple bacon. The vanilla nutella is vanilla swirled with nutella and chunks of cookie. The nutella gives it a little thicker consistency and the crunchiness of the cookies adds some great texture to the ice cream. The brown sugar maple bacon is an absolute must try. I love bacon, and this ice cream has a very strong bacon taste, with actual chunks of bacon mixed in. The sweet, maple ice cream and brown sugar paired with salty bacon just makes this a great treat, full of sweet and not too salty flavor. I’ve also had the banana pudding flavor and it tastes just like banana pudding with huge chunks of vanilla wafers.
Fresh is on my new favorite places to get ice cream in Raleigh. The quality of their ice cream is amazing and the plethora of unique and delicious flavors sets them apart. Both times I’ve been to Fresh, there has been at least a 10 person line the entire time I was there so definitely come out and try some ice cream from Fresh.

Fresh local ice cream, all the classic flavors and lots of different ones to try! I usually just get a pint and put multiple flavors in it. Outside seating including rocking chairs! Definitely the best in Raleigh for ice cream!

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Great ice cream! I’m a huge Ben and Jerry’s fan and this place blows them out of the water. The ice cream tasted so fresh and light, yet it had the perfect balance of creamy-​ness. My wife and I split a regular size and it was perfect for both of us. I can’t stand strawberry ice cream but the one my wife ordered (fresh stawberry) was amazing!
We will definitely be coming back soon!!!

Milo & I just walked two miles around Lake Lynn & we wanted to reward ourselves. Fresh to the rescue!
Once we arrived, I was happy to see they weren’t that busy. I walked right up & placed my order of a doggie sundae for Milo & one scoop of Georgia peach (in a cake cone), for me. We didn’t wait but a minute or two & got our ice cream.
How cute that the doggie sundae is an approved «ice cream» cup & a Milk-​Bone dog bone? Milo was so happy! I thoroughly enjoyed my peach ice cream. Chunks of yummy peach.
Prices are reasonable & because the ice cream is «healthy», you don’t feel miserable after eating it! ;)
Plenty of seating out front, back & side of shop. Also plenty of parking. Friendly employees.

A hot Saturday following a hike and I finally had the opportunity, or at least remembered it, that I should check out this ice cream spot not far from the casa. The first good sign was that there was a solid line of people waiting to order as we walked up, on top of a number of people hanging out. A popular place that I should have discovered long ago. Anyway, tons of flavors on the menu, and despite the line, stuff comes out quick, and it is good. Like, really good. I love ice cream as much as the next guy, but I’m someone who really craves it that often or tends to sample different ice cream spots around town. That being said, I can’t think of it getting a whole lot better than this. Super, super soft and creamy ice cream. I had a coconut almond ice cream and a coffee and wow, they were both fantastic. Top notch stuff.

My partner and I have been here two times, and everything we’ve tried was heavenly. My partner loved the pistachio sundae and I really like the banana pudding ice cream. Their shakes are also delicious. Fresh, home-​made, delicious ice cream and shakes. Definitely recommend this little shop to everyone with a sweet tooth!

Amazing! Even on one of the coldest nights of this winter, this local creamery hit the spot. I went with a kids scoop of coconut almond crunch, and it was absolutely delightful. What made it even better was the sugar cone – by far the best sugar cone I have had in my life! They have a WIIIIIDE variety of flavors, and you can even double up! I foresee many trips here over summer!
(Also, if you are the type that goes for kids scoops like i am, be warned that their kids scoop is a pretty decent amount of ice cream as well !!!)

OMG SO GOOD!
This was my favorite part of our trip to NC. This was the best and i mean the best ice cream i’ve ever had! Comes from Hormone free, antibiotic free cows and they have so many flavors. We had to drive about 30 minutes to get here but it was well worth the drive. I can’t wait to go back.

Their ice cream is not so frozen where it’s like a rock you have to bite into. Rather, it’s the super creamy/​perfect for licking kind of ice cream!!!
I got a scoop of the salted caramel & fudge (which was so rich in flavor), yum!
You’ll never get tired of this place because they have an unending list of unique flavors to try!
Also, they have a great (and spacious) outdoor seating area!

This place is so wonderful! Note that the portions are huge so definitely size down what you normally would order! I had the strawberry and cookie dough icecream on a cakecone. It was unreal. VERY creamy and fresh. Literally the best icecream I’ve ever had! I will absolutely come back again!

I tried the blueberry and banana pudding and loved both because they didn’t taste super artificial like the other places in the area (dulce in durham, for example)
Also had some of my friend’s spicy praline w cayenne which was unique… It definitely had a little kick at the end which was cool but I don’t think I would enjoy an entire cup of it lol. Tried some coconut almond crunch too which was ok but too coconuty for my taste
Overall, love all the choices! I wanted them all! Can’t wait to go back!

Creative flavors with a variety of options makes this our go-​to place for a late summer night treat! I have yet to go for the same flavor twice as they all sound awesome. And I’m promising myself to try the banana split some time soon.
They even have a doggie dish– vanilla ice cream topped with a dog bone for your furry friends.
We showed up close to close one night, looking for that quick fix, and we were greeted with a smile and awesome service.
Plenty of outdoor seating with games for the kiddies.
