Flow Mini

Love this place. Great staff. Reading some previous comments make me wonder why they are so angry.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS LOT.
I bought my Mini here in July, 2014. I was told that it was a low maintenance car and since it had synthetic oil, I would only need to change the oil once a year.
I took the car in for service twice. Once for a scheduled oil change n May and again for a battery issue in July, 2015. The oil and all my fluids were topped off in July 2015.
I don’t drive the car very much, so I maybe put about 2K miles on the car between July and December.
In December, the car just stopped while I was driving. NO warning lights popped on and I had no clue what was going on. I could not restart the vehicle and I could smell some fuel. Since I didn’t get any warnings, I assumed that maybe there was a fuel line issue or a starter issue. It turned out to be much more epic than that.
Apparently, the car was low on oil and ran dry. Note that it had been SUPPOSEDLY topped off in July and there was only 2 K on the car. The car also overheated (NO temp warning) and the engine just basically fried (yet, NO engine light either).
The crew at Flow Mini made it out to be my fault because I was «supposed to put a quart of oil in the car every 1K miles». WTF??? First of all, no one told me this (it wasn’t on any of the my service records, nor is it in the manual) and 2^nd of all, NO ONE DOES THIS. I spoke with several Mini owners and BMW owners.
They stopped throwing blame my way once they realized the car was still under warranty and that it had only recently been taken in for service and had low mileage.
I had cared for the car under their specifications, but they did lie to me about the oil changes.
If you need a low maintenance car, do not come here. They will lie about the care of the cars.
The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that they DID help me navigate the warranty stuff and even covered the cost of repairs that warranty wouldn’t cover. Gillian initially blamed me for the mess, but I have a feeling she may have just been doing what she was told to do in the past. She was helpful otherwise.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Flow Mini in Raleigh is by far the worst, dishonest, shady and sketchy Automotive Dealer I have ever encountered. I have bought cars overseas in Germany and a crossed the U. S but this place should be ashamed of their customer service. Our 2013 Mini Cooper has seen more shop time than drive time, all due to minor issues which now have lead up to hazardous issues which could have potentially led to catastrophic accidents. We bought our Mini through a Salesman that has been unfortunately terminated 2 months after we purchased our mini. Since then we have been pushed around, ignored and lied to by the Service Department.
While I can’t complain about the Sales Department I will say one thing. DO NOT buy any extended warranties for your new vehicle, because the «Service Department» is run by a bunch of lying thieves. Reason being, you’re paying for nothing!!! Tire warranty? FORGET IT!!! I can say without a doubt in my mind that Flow Mini in Raleigh doesn’t give a flip about how muddy their business gets, they don’t care about you or your car. If you are looking to purchase a Mini, do yourself the favor and go elsewhere. I’m being completely honest but your «Life» will depend on it. Trust me on this.

If you want excellent customer service when you’re shopping for a MINI (which I highly recommend :) look no further. My story is long but basically my «old» MINI Cooper died. *tears*. After much stress and searching, I was INCREDIBLY lucky to have found another MINI within my budget and my taste and get this: THE EXACT SAME COLOR! Which by the way is Oxygen Blue.
Before I came here I was communicating with Henry the manager and he was superb. He was patient, thorough, warm, accommodating, and really exceptional customer service. I know, I know, it’s his «job» to be this way and he probably gets commission too BUT he was amazing nonetheless. He truly went above and beyond regarding customer satisfaction and I couldn’t feel more happy or comfortable with my purchase.
Kevin was also a great help too by the way.

I’ll admit I was a bit hesitant to get serviced at a Mini Dealership that I’m not familiar with. Ever since 2011, my go-​to Mini has always been Passport Mini in Alexandria, Virginia and so upon Unilocaling this location, and reading some of its unfavorable reviews, I was tempted to make the 300mile drive up North to get serviced.
But I got lazy.
I bit the bullet and visited Flow Mini anyway and did not regret it. I am thankful I wasn’t quoted anything outrageous. I came to Flow because my service light was on — James checked me in, I waited from 10:30am to 11:20am, paid an oil change bill of ~$ 70 and drove off with my Mini, fresh from the car wash. Smooth trip!

Took my Mini here this week to get checked out. Was told I needed $ 2200.00 in repairs. Was told several times that my car was not drive able and should be towed all over a check engine light. Don’t trust the Service man James. He is a sucker and wants to drain people for their money. Will not be returning to this place!

So every one I dealt with at Flow Mini of Raleigh was great. However the star is Shannon, she is super helpful, and knowledgable. I lack the words to express how impressed and satisfied I am having been helped by her. She sold me two cars, and I am certain I will be coming to see her for my next one as well. Highly recommend you ask for her.

Thieves. Took my mini in because the check engine light was on and they told me I need over $ 3000 worth of work. Took it to euro motors and they looked at it and couldn’t find a problem and the light was reset. Haven’t had a problem since and that was almost a year ago. Run from these thieves. Dishonest.

If you are interested in a Mini this is the place to go. My husband had gone in initially and left with a great impression (this is a guy who usually Hates Car sales men). We looked around the are looking for other minis. But ended up going back to this place. James met us outside… Did he see us coming? Anyway, James was awesome! Not pushy at all!!! Super informative! Answered all my silly questions. Financial Manager was a cool guy too. All in all EXCELLENT Customer Service. I could definitely see us going back to them! Strongly Recommend it. ;)

Very friendly staff. Comfortable place to hangout while you get your MINI fixed up. It’s like a Spa for your car. and its dog friendly too! :)

I recently purchased a new MINI Cooper Clubman S from Merle at Flow MINI of Raleigh. From beginning to end, this was one of the most positive experiences in purchasing a vehicle that I have ever had.
Because of my own work schedule, I was forced to come by the MINI dealership later in the day, about an hour from their normal closing time. My wife and I met Merle on the lot and he asked if we would like to take a test drive. We took great 15 – 20 minute test drive along some curvy roads that really highlighted some of the handling abilities of the vehicle. Despite the hour of the day, my wife and I were not rushed in the least bit.
Upon return to the dealership, my wife and I were given some time alone to discuss things and decide about purchasing. Again, we much appreciated that we weren’t rushed to make any decisions right away. When we decided to move forward with the purchase process, everyone in the dealership was very profesional and easy to work with.
By the time we rolled out of the dealership with my new car, it was a solid hour and a half past their normal closing time, yet our ‘motoring advisor’, the general manager, and the service manager were all working together to get the car cleaned up and ready for us to take delivery. Every part of the transaction was smooth and we really appreciate everyone pulling together for us.
If you are in the market for a MINI, I couldn’t give the crew at Flow MINI of Raleigh a higher recommendation. (And my MINI still rocks!!)
