Evolve Movement

So excited that I stepped out of my box and checked out Evolve today for a yoga class. I usually only practice hot yoga but I’ve been wanting to step out of my bubble a bit and try new classes. I’m so glad I did!!! I took a 75min Vinyasa class with Kristina and loved it.
The studio is in a super convenient location for me and I love the atmosphere, part boutique, part yoga studio, and an entire pilates room as well. The vibe just felt good when you walked in. I loved the attention that Kristina gave to each student in the class. I love when a yoga instructor will walk around and adjust you it rarely happens in some of the other studios I’ve been too. The class started with a self massage on a roller that was amazing and set the tone for the class. We went through a Vinyasa series and tried some fun and challenging poses. I felt very comfortable for my first class and I think a lot of that has to do with the instructor.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect, and although this is much different then my normal practice, I throughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what else Evolve has in store for me.
I heard their PIYO class is pretty awesome and I’d love to check out a pilates class soon.
If you are looking for a welcoming and comfortable spot for your yoga practice I highly recommend Evolve.

I really love this studio. So far, I’ve only attended group pilates apparatus classes, but I’ll update the review once I attend their yoga classes. The instructors are super helpful, friendly and have an overall infectious positive vibe. Evolve’s studio is a great space-​not too big, not too cramped, and very clean. I love the windows that look out to bamboo trees that surround the studio.
Evolve suggests you attend 3 introductory pilates apparatus classes before you attend their level 1 – 2 pilates apparatus classes, and its a great way for anyone new to the equipment to get started. Usually there’s only 4 – 6 people in the class, and the instructors usually adjust to everyones comfort level. It’s a great workout!
Evolve’s yoga shop is super cute, I’ve bought a spiritual gangster shirt from them and have my eye on some yoga pants and a tank. Check-​in on Unilocal for a discount!

I attend Wednesday evening’s class with Jennifer regularly. I have also had a great time at every other class I’ve ever attended here, but Jennifer’s class on Wednesday is the most challenging and pleasant for me.
Prior to coming to classes at Evolve, I had done lots of hot yoga and some hatha yoga. I had never chanted «ohm» or heard every pose I was in referred to in its Sanskrit name. At Evolve, you will be exposed to both of these things. I feel the authenticity of their classes adds depth to my practice. I previously viewed yoga as something I did for injury prevention and to improve my athleticism, and now I view yoga as integral to relaxation and a more enlightened life.

The instructors are great and very attentive. They have several class options to choose from and are welcoming to students who are new to yoga. Overall a great experience so far.

I’ve taken a lot of yoga classes in my life at a lot of different studios. Evolve is just about as great as it gets. The atmosphere is so calming and the instructors are very attentive and knowledgeable. This location also has a great variety of classes and times to accommodate anyone’s schedule, which I sure appreciate because my schedule is very hectic and unpredictable at times. Also, the prices are very reasonable with different packages, and they welcome new students with a new student special ($ 30 for 3 classes). I haven’t yet tried any of the Pilates classes, but I hear they are wonderful if that is your thing!
My favorite class is Wednesdays at 5:45 with Jennifer (Energetic Vinyasa). I try to never miss this one!

I took a class at Evolve and enjoyed it. As I was looking at some other yoga places in town I emailed someone who was offering a class on the endocrine system. I emailed her asking about the class and Julie emailed me back, inviting me to her Sunday evening class and helping me with some medical issues I have been dealing with.
I quickly got a membership and have been going every since. I love all the classes I take and am happy to see that they are trying to add some later in evening classes that are not limited to advanced yogis.

I’ve been going to Evolve for pilates for over a year and a half for both private and group classes. My son has also taken their kids yoga class.
The level of instruction here for pilates is second to none. In a group setting, instructors really make an effort to provide individual feedback on the work you are doing and customize the workout to the group they have on hand. My experience in private sessions has been equally great. I had some complex issues, and the instructor took time to think about which exercises would be best to resolve them.
From an environment perspective, the studio is nice and the equipment is top-​notch. The studio just got 3 new towers, so there is ample space for classes to use that type of equipment.
Can’t say enough good things about Evolve – great studio, great instructors, nice clientele.

I used to practice with Gateway right up the street from Evolve and the teachers I practiced with moved over to Evolve about a year and a half ago. Evolve is a wonderful yoga studio that provides a diverse range of classes, including yoga, pilates, and much more. I have found that classes are welcome to all levels and the teachers want to work with students to expand their practices. Everyone is really nice and teachers provide hands on corrections so students can build their practice with correct alignment. I highly recommend Evolve! I go at least twice per week.

I absolutely love coming to Evolve! I am always so excited to come– the staff is so friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The instructors know how to push you without pressuring you into doing poses that you do not feel safe or comfortable doing. For example, if your class is working on headstands that day and you do not feel up for trying it, there is no guilt trip or pressure. Similarly, if you’ve decided today is your headstand day, you’ll be met with encouragement and help. I always leave feeling more confident and better about myself than when I came. The Cameron Village location has more class offerings than the North Raleigh one, but I often find myself floating between the two. I highly suggest taking classes with Rachel, Emily, Mary Kay, and BB! It’s also a very, very clean studio so if your face accidentally grazes the floor during a chaturanga you won’t contract the ebola virus.

Evolve is amazing! I used to go to Evolve every now and then and loved it. I tried other yoga studios around Raleigh but haven’t found one that even comes close to Evolve! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I recently signed up for a session with Emily for Early Bird Vinyasa and I am hooked! Emily is a great teacher! Challenging and fun! Great music too!

Not for me. Attended a few yoga classes. Thought it would be flow vinyasa style but I got something in between restorative and light flow. No heat building. May be good for those looking for stretching or those who are brand new to yoga and looking for a good place to start.

After practicing yoga at an amateur level for the past 2 years, I can say that I am very glad to have discovered Evolve. They offer individual and group classes in gyrotonics, pilates, and yoga. My experience with the drop-​in mat group yoga classes has been incredible.
We initially jumped on their 3 classes for $ 30 offer for New Clients which you can access on their website. A part of Evolve that I really enjoy is that their scheduling and subscription services are all available through their website. Not only can you see all of the upcoming classes online but you can also reserve your spot in advance and view your class history.
The inside of the studio is really well kept and the studio where the yoga classes are held is very conducive for acheiving that relaxed state of mind you strive for when practicing. The teachers have all been very knowledgeable in their yoga practice types and excellent at challenging you to get the most from your session. The staff is really friendly makes you feel welcome.
Going to Evolve has become a sort of weekly ritual for us and I can highly recommend that you give it a go. There are classes for all levels so anyone can find a class where they feel comfortable.

I LOVE this studio. Very open and welcoming. I’ve had the opportunity to work with multiple instructors and they are all wonderful – the perfect blend of instruction, criticism, encouragement, and hands-​on help with form. I make the drive from North Raleigh atleast twice a week to enjoy semi-​private sessions with my girlfriends!

I very much enjoyed my experience in the Oberlin Road location. I took a yoga lunch class on a Thursday and I plan on attending more classes available when they fit my schedule. Betsy Vohwinkel is a wonderful instructor with warmth and kindness which compliments the kick-​butt power flows she leads you through in practice! I felt very welcome and the classroom was large and inviting. The class left me feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Great big Beautiful Space. Definetely the best variety of Yoga, Pilates, Gyro, Massage and other «Well-​Being» type stuff. Great Teachers and Fun students. They have something for all levels of experience and athleticism.
