Encore Carpet Care

I was so surprised by so many things that this company did along the way and throughout the process that no other carpet cleaning service had ever provided for me in the past. Right from the beginning they sent out an email and text to confirm my appointment and to let me know when they were on their way this way also. They showed up right on time and put down a towel at the door before even coming in, again pleasantly abnormal. Next they discussed with us our expectations for their visit and had us show them our areas of concern. The next part was especially surprising, they VACUUMED! They mentioned that they prefer that customers do this before their arrival (which was in their «Get Ready Here We Come Email» which highlighted the breakdown of what they do when they come but that I had forgot to read beforehand) but they weren’t irritated or rude or anything by having to do it which was nice. They used commercial grade vacuums and even paid attention to the cracks near the baseboards. The next step was when they put down a spray pre-​treatment which had a deodorizer which my daughter said smelled like Jello but I thought smelled like Pez candy, bottom line it made my house smell great! The agitator was next, the «other guys» normally use a rake which I could only imagine to be damaging to the carpet and not as effective, but their machine was like a huge electric toothbrush scrubber machine and worked the cleaner/​pre-​treater into the carpet more thoroughly. The last step was the rinse and extraction and they got out 99.9% of the stains (mind you the kids had an art project with sharpie on the floor in some places). I would have been willing to place bets on them not being able to get out some larger set in stains yet it only took a few passes and they just disappeared! The other thing they did that I was impressed with was they put these orange traffic cone looking things against the corners of my walls so the cords and tubes they used didn’t scratch the walls, never had anyone ever showed that much care and pay that much attention to detail. Throughout the whole process my daughter was really inquisitive and wanted to know about everything they were doing and they answered every question patiently and with understanding. That’s not even all, they gave us «booties» to go over our shoes so we could walk on the carpet right away and a free bottle of cleaner which they will refill/​replace each time they come, and they sent a follow-​up email with a copy of the invoice/​work order and a Thank you email with a coupon for their next visit. I really couldn’t have asked for anything more and feel like I’ve been cheated by every other service I’ve had prior to theirs now that I know what’s been missing. Prompt appointment arrival time.
Nice conversation to get to know the cleaner that willbe in my home.
Explained some knowledge about carpets. A carpet seems really simple, but then ask yourself how and why we haveso many carpet choices.
My carpets are 6 years and 4 kids old. I dont expect manufacturer new unless I buy new. ECC saves me this cost and freshens the carpet fibers clean.
How long before they get dirty again… ask my kids and the weather.
ECC was timely, friendly, and honest.
He is currently doing the cleaning as I write this and he seems to be doing a very thorough job.

I was very impressed with the level of customer service we received from Mike and Encore Carpet Care. We live a ways out of town and it can be tough to find vendors who are even willing to come this far out. Or, even better, once you confirm date and time of service amazing how many won’t follow through. Mike not only confirmed the appt., but the day of service kept me in the loop as he was actually running ahead of schedule. When he arrived, he gave a thorough explanation of the services we would be receiving and taught me more about the ‘science’ of carpet cleaning. I would be happy to use Mike and Encore Carpet Care again in the future!

The owner showed up promptly and was professional and courteous. After confirming which areas would receive the cleaning — he immediately went to work :-) (He even made sure that my cat would not escape out of my front door (that was open due to the hoses).
He took his time to make sure that each room was done properly, made sure that I was satisfied with the results, and gave a tip on how to get the floors to dry faster.
This is my second time using Encore Carpet Care and I would use this service again.

Not sure if this company is even good at cleaning carpets, they no-​showed on me twice. It takes Mike, who seems to be the sole owner/​employee, a while to get back to you because his voicemail is full. He lectured me on the phone about how groupons don’t make him any money so I have to pay $ 4.75 tax on the service and tip the worker well. Maybe I should have lectured him about business 101. Awful. Don’t waste your time.

I purchased a TWONGO coupon for Encore because I was moving out of my rental and was required to get my carpets professionally cleaned. I had maybe 400 sqft of carpet to clean and could not find anything lower than the price on the deal. He was able to fit me in no problem and even showed up early. When I scheduled the appointment I expressed I HAD to have a receipt in order to turn it into my property management company. He forgot the receipts and I have asked him 3 times to send fax me the receipt, I am YET to receive it. My property management company is not threatening to take the money out of my security deposit if they do not receive the receipt within 8 hours. Over all the cleaning was OKAY, nothing special. If you just need a cleaning for a decent price they are good, but the way the carpets are cleaned the stains will more than likely reappear once it has been walked on for a few weeks.

After asking around, I found Mike/​Encore Carpet Cleaning based on a coworker review. He was on-​time, did the job efficiently, and was very professional. Since I have berber carpet, I wasn’t sure how much cleaner the carpets would actually look (berber hides a lot, which is good and bad), but I was impressed. I would recommend and use him again.
