Edwards Mill Bar & Grill

After returning the chicken alfredo special because it was like water w/​powdered sauce on top (pretty sure this was just reheated in the microwave?) I was brought a BLT with cheese, on stale bread. The waffle fries had no flavor so i added lotsa salt, but that didn’t help. I also had wanted additional ranch dressing for my salad, but it didn’t come until the chicken alfedo arrived. First and last time here.

Had good time with 25 Co-​workers. Food was good. More importantly Service was really fast.

I really enjoyed the food here. The bar side of the restaurant feels so different from the actual dining side. I was going to the bathroom and walked by the bar.
The hostesses that greet you at the front desk were very welcoming so I did like that. The food was pretty good. My bf and I split the French Dip which was a bit on the small side and the Cajun Chicken Ranch sandwich (this might have a slightly different name). The Chicken sandwich was phenomenal. We got the homemade chips and the waffle fries and I am such a huge fan of anyplace that has waffle fries.
Our service was mediocre, there was plenty of times where I needed a refill in water, but besides that no other complaints. I love that they have stamps so that after 10 meals you get a free one. I will be back!

First time at this place, the location was hidden in a corner of the shopping strip mall.
We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated in the patio area outside.
We ordered the house chips and asked for the potato to be cooked al dente, Bc I don’t like when the chips are overly friend and burnt. The potato chips ended up being undercooked and not the way we were hoping– but still pretty good to eat.
I order a sandwich, the one with seared tuna/​ahi tuna. Can’t remember the exact name… However, it was very yummy!

This quaint little place is in a strip mall. A very busy and bustling strip mall. If you want to eat here for lunch you better arrive early. This place gets full fast. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center but once again, it gets full fast. From the outside its hard to tell what this place is all about. Inside its divided in half basically. One side is like a sports bar, and the other side a restaurant with a classy feel. They have some outdoor seating. Inside the restaurant side its dimly lit and seems to have a high end feel. The place is looking worn in areas. Still nice, mind you, but looks like its sen a lot of action. This would be a good place to take a date. They have a full bar and decent craft beer selection. They have a large menu and lots of choices from lunch specials to sandwiches, and steaks. I got the patty melt. A supposed 8 ounce beef patty grilled with onions and 2 cheeses on rye bread. Size wise it wasnt what I expected. The meat lacked any real taste. The grilled onions were good. The bread was pretty good, yet filling for what it was. The house made chips were great. Fully cooked and crunchy without being greasy. Service was slow, and a little flakey. The price was definitely high for the quality and quantity of food delivered. $ 14 for a burger, chips, and drink is a little much. Over all I just wasnt impressed. Better burgers are close by. Real close! I just wanted to sit down inside, and thats why I came here. Honestly I wouldnt return. Restrooms looked well used and a little rough around the edges. Plus they were in a weird location in the back of the building.

My mom and I always meet up in the sports bar section of the restaurant. Great food and drink specials with a convenient location!

Looking for something terrible AND overpriced… you found the right spot. First and last time.

Took care of a large group spontaneously showing up after a movie at the NCMA. Good food, great service, nice semi-​private room/​table to ourselves. Yay for this place!

We stopped in here one evening when it was late, we’d missed dinner, and we were starving. The food was pretty good (maybe a 3-​star, though) and there was a good selection of beers on tap. I have to say, however, that the service was phenomenal. The place had maybe ten people in it, and it looked like the bartender was taking care of all the service. She stopped by often, was incredibly friendly, and just put that little something extra into the experience that makes you walk away feeling happy with the whole shebang. I’m in the area often, so I’ll definitely be back. This is a solid dive with friendly people.

I eat here every Thursday for lunch. The menu has a large selection of foods from soups, salads, burgers, steaks, and chicken. They also have daily specials that they have listed on a board. Usually the have 2 soup specials, a fish, a salad, and some kind chicken and a quiche. Service is always good. The owner is very friendly, we know him by name, he does a little of everything including, hosting and serving. The daily food specials are usually good. Nothing spectacular. Its actually hit or miss. The items I like are their chilli, gazpacho soup, in the summer, and the turkey club and french dip. The atmosphete is busy, noisey and dark. The bar area is very dark and smokey. It’s ok for lunch but i wouldnt go out of my way to travel here for lunch. We go because its convenient and service is good.

My husband and I love coming here for a casual dinner with some drinks at the sports bar section of the restaurant. We’ve also eaten in the «sit-​down» area of the restaurant during the day for lunch.
Every time we come here its so good! They have a crazy plethora of beers, including a great selection of NC locals. They have a lot of drink specials every single day, including $ 4.99 premium glasses of wine on Wednesdays. Did you read that?! I can get La Crema Chardonnay for $ 4.99 a glass??? Pretty dang inspiring (jk).
I can’t get away from ordering their buffalo shrimp salad– its just enough spicy to make me almost break a sweat but it has great flavor and the blue cheese dressing is super chunky! We got the prime rib (on special) last night and it was cooked perfectly and came with delicious sides and a horseradish dipping sauce.

I love Edwards Mill Bar & Grill. It is exactly what a little neighborhood bar and grill should be.
Good sports on the tv, great bar food with a few surprises and great staff.

Stopped in on a whim after I saw the parking lot for the nearby grocery store (where I intended to procure food to cook) was packed due to impending ice storm. Glad I did.
This isn’t much to look at from the outside, being that it’s a strip mall storefront. Not much to look at from the inside, either, come to think of it. Where the place really shined, though, was with the quality of the food and the service.
Our server was perfectly attentive — letting us eat our meal unobtrusively while still anticipating and taking care of our needs. Sweet girl and deserving of every penny of the larger tip that we left.
As for the food, I had the Carolina Burger — billed as an 8oz hunk of beef on sourdough with cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, bacon, slaw, and fried onions with a side of waffle fries. What arrived at my table was a little slice of heaven. The meat was cooked perfectly, the flavors blended magnificently, and the bread must have been magical since it was still crisp from toasting and not soggy in the least. Literally the best burger I’ve had in years.
Total tab for two was under $ 40, with drinks.
Bottom line: Meh appearance, outstanding food, great service. Highly recommend and will definitely come back (probably to order the Carolina Burger again).

Came here to pregame for the Carolina Hurricanes game visiting from Charlotte. Great hot wings and shrimp appetizer. Clean atmosphere. Friendly staff. Plenty of TVs. Not too far from the arena. Will definitely go back next time we are in town.

We go here to play trivia. I would give them 5 stars, but the menu is limited. If I don’t want a burger, there isn’t much else on the menu that I will eat. The drinks are priced higher than other area bars. I love the trivia here, if it were not here, I would never eat at this restaurant. That being said, Chow has prizes that are way higher. Edwards Mill’s 3^rd place is $ 10 and Chow’s is $ 25.

Don’t be fooled with the 3-​star rating. It’s actually a decent place to check out and hang out but specificity is key!
My favorite time to drop by is on Friday. They have trivia on Friday at 9:00pm, and it’s never too crowded. The questions are fair and touch on a variety of fun subjects. Great atmosphere and a fun place to watch the games. Good beer selection.
I’d recommend going light with the food. As a veggie-​sarus, I prefer just having a salad or fries. For meat eaters, stick to the wings. People love them. I’ve had their meals before, and there is very limited veggie-​friendly list. You’re likely going to get stuck with a salad, baked potato, or a veggie wrap, the latter of which is honestly overpriced and something, yes, even you could make at home in five minutes. The meals aren’t bad, but they’re not great. As I said, stick to smaller items or snacks.
Beware. They will crank the AC real low. You’re going to want to have a jacket or sweater. This has happened multiple times to my friends and me.
Parking varies. The area gets crowded because there are so many different restaurants and bars. You’ll find something, but how close you get to Edwards Mill Bar & Grill is unknown. Staff is friendly.
Overall, I grumble a bit about this place but love coming here. Sports, trivia, drinks, and a snack. Worth at least one visit.

I feel like I have to point out that this place is very close to my home so I tend to frequent it a lot. Whether you want to belly up to the bar and just hang out or would like to park yourself at a table or booth, this place is a good choice. The menu is large and most everything I have eaten here from chicken wings (my favorite) to steaks, sandwiches, and appetizers are all delicious. The atmosphere is casual and the staff is always friendly. This place can become crowded during PNC Arena events, but not to the point that you would not be able to find a table.

A solid place to grab some food.

It’s your typical American restaurant, quite a bit more classic with the softer lighting and not the chain style look. It’s cozy for families or on a casual date night. Most the food is pretty decent with pleasant wait staff/​hostess.
My favorites:
Chicken salad, crab cakes and the steaks!
Best to go on a casual night when the weather is nice to enjoy the patio. Inside seating isn’t bad but the patio is in my opinion more fun. There is a bar in the front area of the restaurant, if there is ever a wait for a table.

I like this place.
Has a few things going for it.
The menu really deviates from your regular sports bar menu. More of a traditional American menu, and that’s not readily available outside of Bob Evans these days.
When the weather is nice, the outdoor dining is really nice.
Pre-​game drink for a Hurricanes game works really well here. Lots of fans stop here before the game, and the bartenders are… generous.
