Sherry and the team were very helpful and responsive during our refinance of our home. They were prompt with answering any questions or concerns we had. Sherry gave us special attention because we wanted to expedite our closing and came through on every promise.

Over the past dozen years I’ve taken out or refinanced about ½ dozen mortgages and Home Equity loans. While I love the interest rate I received through DNJ Gateway and I appreciate being able to save thousands of dollars over the next several years, I have to say this experience, out of all of them, was the least friendly, least personable and most stressful mortgage experience I’ve been through. We started with a young lady in early September, and thought we had everything worked out. A few weeks later, the young lady was no longer there and we have a new broker working with us. A couple more weeks go by and I don’t hear much of anything. Come to find out the mortgage company had emailed me something and it got lost in cyberspace. To be fair, my email account wasn’t accepting some of the .pdf files they were sending. We were closing in on the mortgage rate lock date and didn’t know if we’d been underwritten yet… this is a 50 day lock, and we weren’t told we had missed a signature line until a week or so before the lock date expired. We closed on the lock rate expiration date — went right to the wire. Unlike other experiences, we never met our broker face to face. Also unlike other experiences, communication was laxed and sparse. After we closed, DNJ sent me an email congratulating me and telling me what a pleasure I was to work with… that was confusing because the interaction was so very sparse I still didn’t think they even knew who I was. Yes, DNJ Gateway Mortgage saved me tens of thousands of dollars, but it’s not an experience I wish to repeat.
