A few times a year the Dixie Gun and Knife Show is at the Raleigh Fairgrounds. Don’t think of it as just artillery, although it does offer a lot of options for your persona Dept of Homestead Security. There is also a phenomenal selection of hunting gear and outdoors supplies for those who camp or hunt. They had a pretty fair selection of kitchen knives, the good ones, along with pocket knives and machetes. T-shirts, bumper stickers, hats, camouflage gear, heck, we even found a great product to keep or eyeglasses fog free. Vendors are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. And ladies, there was a good selection of some fine silver jewelry. I guess they figure if a man is going to buy himself a big purchase, his lady at least deserves a beautiful pendant. I like that thinking, LOL. Don’t think the environment is just a big Duck Dynasty party, there were people from all walks of life and backgrounds there to enjoy the experience. So don’t prejudge, go and experience it for yourself sometime. Personally, I though it was great. Oh, and there’s some pretty good beef jerky to be had as well. ;-)

Guns, knifes, ammo, cammo and beef jerky. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The Dixie Gun Show at the State Fairgrounds has it all. Whether browsing for a new shotgun, looking to pick up a new kitchen knife or getting that GI Joe outfit for the grandson; everyone can find something of interest. Make sure you wear your bargaining hat as the vendors like to haggle and you won’t meet a nicer group of folks.
