I have been twice. The first time I was unimpressed with the nail polish selection and chose an unknown brand that chipped off my toes within a few days. The hours are convenient and the staff was friendly. They gave a long massage so I returned. The second time the same thing happened with the polish and I felt the attention to detail just wasn’t there so I’ve switched salons.

I thought they did a great job. Everyone was professional quick and kind. The only reason I’m not giving them 4 is because the sells pitches were kind of burdensome but I maintained

Trust these reviews, Unilocalers. I am currently typing this review slowly and painfully because a nail tech at Diva Nail and Spa gouged and cut my cuticles out on THREE separate fingers, one of which is clearly scabbed over. I am still in pain on Saturday after my Tuesday visit. I will never ever return.
My colleagues and I visited this establishment because we were in the area for a work function and had limited access to transportation. I love to give people the benefit and went in prepared for a positive outcome, but I can now understand why the Unilocal ratings are as they are and why that is completely accurate. To make a long story short, there was lots of barking and gestures of where we should sit and what to do. I tried to chat up my nail tech but she pretty much ignored me. She was pretty rough and squeezed each of my fingers especially hard while working on each nail, which made me wonder: what happened to these people to make them so mean? When I winced from pain after she cut my finger, she mumbled something about my skin being very dry and never even apologized. Needless to say, she didn’t even offer a discount after injuring me, much less any apology. To add insult to injury, my nail broke the next day… I don’t understand how that happens on a (30 dollar) gel manicure.

So I was already in the salon when I began skimming Unilocal reviews and instantly got nervous. The salon was not busy at all around 3 pm on a Tuesday and I went for a pedi and full set gel mani. I have to review as two separate experiences:
Pedicure Deluxe: Wendy was amazing — seriously on of the best pedicures I have received in a long time. The foot and leg massage was insanely good and she was meticulous in ensuring my short nails were painted perfectly. Pedicure: 5 stars.
Manicure: Anne was really nice and my gel manicure was okay. I did more redirect on this, but what woman isn’t picky about the shape of her nails. What made me nervous was when she started reading the shellac polish bottle, as if to look for directions… that made me and my friend who was me, both nervous. Overall okay, I give it 3 stars just because I had to do a lot of redirect on length and nail shape.
I would recommend this place– sorry to see so many others had a bad experience. Everyone understood my English perfectly and I understood them. I wasn’t uncomfortable at any point and everyone was very friendly and open to my expectations on services.
My pedicure still looks awesome!

I used to come to this salon regularly, mostly because if it’s easy location. I also used to think that I was receiving above average service … that is, until I went somewhere else and figured out what above average service really was.
i went to this salon looking to get a set of powder gel nails. the technician talked me up into getting a liquid gel set instead.
the service was okay, the technician was rough, ended up making two of my fingers bleed. she talked to her friends 90% of the session, in another language, making it a little awkward for me. I didn’t think much of it because my nails looked much better than they did when I had walked in.
a week and a half later, I was in wilmington at my cousin’s regular nail place and immediately after glancing at my nails the nail tech asked me if I had done them myself.
come to find out, the woman at diva nails did not give me the «liquid gel» nail set which I had purchased, apparently skipped a few steps in the process causing them to yellow, did not sand/​even the tops of the nails out, and didn’t press the gel correctly near my cuticles causing them to lift after about three or four days.
in conclusion …
pros:
–pretty fast service
–easily location (in the food court at Crabtree)
cons:
–services not worth the prices
–dishonest employees
–unprofessional employees
–employees do not speak/​understand much English
–services are rushed rather than relaxed
I will not be returning, ever. I think the worst thing that a business or an employee of a business can do is knowingly scam and lie to a paying customer.

I would give zero stars if possible. The service was below average. My nails looked below average. The woman who we talked to at first gave us inaccurate prices for the specials. When asking about it after having our nails done, the manager began yelling at us accusing us of refusing to pay. He then threatened to cause trouble for us. I was trying to treat my mother to a pedicure for her birthday, and instead, treated her and myself to horrible service. I was very offended, as I had my card out ready to pay (the price that was more than what we were told at the beginning) when he started yelling at us. After seeing the scene this man was causing, four women who were waiting walked out. This was the most disgusting treatment any paying customer should receive and this man should be reported.

Went there for a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was nice and relaxing. It felt good an looks good. The manicure not so much. I got a gel French tip manicure and it doesn’t look even. It also looks to be chipping at the corners and came off of one nail after 3 days. I’ve had a better manicure for a cheaper price. I would possibly go back for another pedicure but not a manicure.

I wanted to treat a friend from out of town to a N.C. spa day. Although we are not from here I thought since Crab-​Valley mall is an awesome mall, I could have looked for better. It was crowded! Luckily there were two pedicure chairs available. Great prices! Great and clean salon. My friend loved her color and that’s all she wanted to say. Great color selection than most nail shops. Great service until I saw a customer become ratchet, then it was time to go. I recommend getting nothing less or more than the Diva special and tip nothing more than $ 5.

I should have read the reviews before I came here. However, I was in a rush and it was Sunday. The places that I usually frequent were not open. The customer service was horrible. My nail tech was rude to my mother and didn’t even say thank you when she was tipped. She also cut my cuticles too deep to the point where my cuticle was bleeding.

I should have looked at these reviews before going here. I went with three other people and they got pedicures and I got a manicure. The man who did my nails had the roughest hands and the manicure was horrible. It looked like I did it. There was nail polish on the sides and they are already chipping after one day. One other girl got the deluxe pedicure with a 10 minute massage. She never got the extra massage because she was finished at the same time as the others. When she tried to dispute it they just walked away and charged her card the full amount. I will never go back here or send any of my friends here. I recommend Cameron nails in Cameron Village. A lower cost and 10x better of a salon.

I have been here a total of two times and both visits were completely different. The first visit was to get gels put on my nails. The male attendant I had for this actually was not bad. He did a good job and the nails lasted a solid two weeks before needing to be filled. However, when I returned to get them filled — I had a lady attendant and I wish I knew her name — so I could warn everyone no to go near her. Having her work on my nails was the worst experience of my life. She was so rough with that drill that I didn’t think I could last through the appointment. She knew she was hurting me too, when she would go to far into the nail bed or on the skin I would flinch and pull my hands, but she just kept drilling away. My nails hurt for 3 days after. This was not my first rodeo either, I have had several sets of acrylics in the past, and NO ONE has ever drilled into my fingers like that. So please DO NOT go to this place for fake nails.

First time mani: pedi, it wen’t well. Nothing spectacular but worth the cost. What do you expect for a mall salon
Second time: manicure. I was horrified. They butchered my cuticles and despite my protests, cut my nails way to short. I came one lunch break and didn’t have time to wait for my nails to dry so I asked if I could come back after 5. «no problem» he said and took my 15.00 bucks and 4. Dollar tip.
I arrive later, the man who worked on me before asked another person to paint my nails. She commented on my butchered cuticles. Thanks! After I’m done drying and about to leave, the young lady follows me out the door asking me to pay. I go back in, the original manicurist was gone and I explain. No Dice. I pay 6 more dollars for a color change and leave swearing never to go back.
Third Time: a co worker who swears by this salon begs me to return. She told me she told the owner about my experience and he’d like to make it up to me. I should have never gone in but I really wanted to like this place bc it’s so convenient to work.
I make and appointment along with my co-​worker. I let the girl know we are on a lunch break and only have an hour. They take my co-​worker first (she did not have an appointment) and I sit there for 25 minuets while 2 employees stand in the pedicure area. I get up to leave and one of them approaches me and said he was ready to do my nails. I assumed the best. I only has time for a color change. What a mess. He rushed and painted my cuticles.
My 4 year could have done a better job. I asked to speak with the owner. He said he was it. I explained the ordeal from last time an everything that had happened until that point. He answered his phone while I was in mid sentence. With 6 minuets left, I handed over my card and explained again I had to run.
Without even looking before I signed, I ran back to work. Later I noticed he charged me 14 bucks the price of a full manicure. that’s enough for me

I went to this place twice the first time i went i got only tips done and she did a great job i wish i could remember her name but i cant… well the next time i went she wasnt there and a guy did my nails and my toes this was the worst experience of my life in a nail salon he was rough with my hands and feet and he did a horrible job. My toes look like a twelve year old just painted them and my nails are cut crooked. my fill in looks horrendous i can see the scratches from the nail fill under the acrylic. I also had it airbrushed and he painted it crooked and there are so much air bubbles on my nails one of them looks like it has a tumor.
After he does such a horrible job he has the nerve to try and charge me $ 10 extra like i dont know how to count. Some of them in there are extremely devious and their starting to give asians a bad name.
I wouldn’t advise anyone to go there its a waste of money and time.

Do NOT go to this place! Got the worst pedicure I’ve ever received. Besides it looking like I could’ve done it myself, they cut my nails way too short. My big toe nails are ingrown, and you are supposed to cut them straight and not too short, but my lady cut them curved and really short. Now it hurts to wear certain shoes that I didn’t have a problem with before. Hopefully my nails will grow out fine, but I’m worried they will grown more in. Definitely will avoid this place from now on.

I know my experience wasn’t a normal one, but it reflects the type of customer service at this place. The actual nail service was below average and not worth the price. But then they «screwed up» on the payment. There is no way to double charge unless you swipe the card twice. These guys did just that. Entered my service charge, swiped my card, then gave me the receipt to sign. But in that time they also entered another charge and swiped it again. When I looked at my statement the next week there were 2 charges (the second for twice as much as the first). I went back in and the manager told me he would provide me with both receipts by the next business day, which he did. The photocopy clearly shows a totally different signature for the second, higher charge receipt. When I told them that the evidence they gave me clearly showed I didn’t authorize the second payment, they refused to issue a refund and told me to dispute the charge with my credit card??? Now I am waiting 30 – 60 days to get the money back, if the CC company deems it the vendors fault. If you ask me, something VERY shady is going on at this place. CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS PLEASE. TRY TO AVOID THIS PLACE ALTOGETHER, as I would hate for this to keep happening to others.
Manager was the only «english-​speaking» person there and was trying to help, but the owner was clearly obstructing. A complaint was also issued with Crabtree Valley Mall and they handed it over to the police for further investigation.
