History

Established in 1981.

This all started with a 15 Year old getting a 35 mm Pentax ME Super camera for Christmas in 1981. David started making money in photography in 1982 while still in High School. As they say, the rest is history.

I am located at 162 Wind Chime Court in Raleigh NC. I am waiting on YELP to change that for me. Make sure you don’t drive to Wake Forest to find me.

Although David now focuses on corporate photography and not consumer photography, he did photograph weddings in the 1980’s on film with a manual camera and a manual flash. With film, you didn’t know what you had until the film was processed days after the wedding. Shooting on film professionally will help a photographer learn things that the digital age will not.

David fully embraces digital and absolutely loves photography. He is passionate about capturing people through the lens of a camera in still photography as well as video.

On a personal note, David and his wife Brenda are natives of the Triangle area and have been married since July 1989. They have two adult daughters.

David Williams is an excellent and extremely talented professional photographer. David worked with me closely to do multiple profile shots of both my CFO and CEO. He made both executives feel at ease during the actual photoshoots. The CEO the job was highly complex as we needed several different shots. Here we leveraged David’s skills using cutouts and touchup editing extensively. The result is that everything is above and beyond what we were expecting in terms of quality. I would absolutely recommend David Williams Photography for corporate photo shoots.

Wish I could give more stars! On short notice, with a demanding set of on-​location shots involving regular people & not professional models… the set up couldn’t be more challenging and David absolutely came through for us. He is a total professional, both in his craft and his interactions with us and the people we were using for the shoot, which was for a county public safety department. This was for an international high tech product that is difficult to photograph. He stayed upbeat, was constantly thinking of new directions to take the shot, all of which worked. Excellent work, exceptional person.

He did an excellent job capturing the shots that we needed, so much so, that it took us days to choose the right ones because there were so many great ones. He was prompt, professional and courteous. David recently captured a half-​day of headshots for us at a corporate event. He was timely and responsive to both email and phone communication, and was willing to work within our relatively fluid agenda and timing. He arrived early to set up and was entirely self-​sufficient throughout the process, which left me free to attend to other details of the meeting. He proactively checked in with me throughout the event and was able to turn around the proofs for our attendees in less than 24 hours. Very impressive!

I recently hired David for some new head shots and I am BEYOND ECSTATIC with the results. I am a very particular customer – I have facial paralysis, and I’ve always been sensitive about how I appear in pictures. One of the most pleasant experiences that I have had with a photographer!
David took headshots for the company that I work for and did an absolutely outstanding job. We didn’t want just the ordinary headshot, we wanted him to capture each person in their element; he really captured the personality of each individual. He did everything that we asked of him, and was able to follow our strict timeline. David’s passion shows in his pictures.
I can’t speak about the Cinematography, but if you’re looking for a great photographer, his your man!

He puts his subjects at ease which only helps to bring out their best side. His end results are fantastic. He definitely has an artistic eye which truly captures the «realness» of each person. David Williams took on the daunting task of capturing our company’s head shots, which spanned from full management teams to multiple members of each of the five restaurant’s culinary departments and Executive Chef’s. I highly recommend David Williams for your headshots, video 60-​sec introduction and /​or event photography. He makes it look all so easy, but it’s definitely not! On top of his photography skills, David is prompt, professional and fun and friendly to work with. He takes his time getting to know you as a person and as a professional so you can he can bring out your best image and qualities. A great photographer needs to know his subject and accurately convert the 3D person into a 2D world.
