Restaurant location is nice and ordered trout and would say that it’s not my best so far but good and right crust. Tried the butterscotch cream Brûlée and would say it’s much better then the regular venella cream brûlée.

The omelette Lorraine was one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had. The mimosa were also good. The hottest(Anna) was not very friendly to us, perhaps she was having a bad day. The rest of the wait staff and servers were very friendly and attentive. I like the ambience and it’s very busy. Definitely plan on coming back!

The food was horrible and service is even more pathetic. The people who run this place think they run a Michelin five star restaurant or a fine dining restaurant in Paris. Also this place is total rip off. Don’t go here to have a nice experience.

All I can say is YUM! Went here for my birthday lunch and had the Quiche Lorraine; it was the best I’ve had in my life. It’s light and fluffy and literally melts in your mouth. Also tried The French Onion soup which was delicious and authentic. And last but not least, the bread and butter they bring to the table was so good-wish I could have taken the butter home! The lunch prices are very reasonable. Looking forward to the next visit!

Very bad experience. Felt forgotten by the wait staff, poor service. Several other customers nearby also complained about how the food was overpriced and overrated. I agree. This place was mediocre at best. Not going back again.

If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere with elevated food, then I would highly recommend Coquette in North Hills. My wife sometimes lapses into a snobby Francophile and even she absolutely loved this place. We live near North Hills and saw this store front often, but never had an occasion to go. One night, we decided on an impromptu date night and went to Coquette around 5:30 for dinner on a weeknight. My wife got the Coq au Vin(fun fact: if you search coco van, Google is very helpful and brings up the correct spelling for Coq au Vin as the first entry) and I got the Seared Duck Breast. I had never had French food before so I basically melted into a puddle of sumptuous duck meat and a magical cloud of white bean purée. My wife was far too fancy for such a reaction so she merely smirked and proceeded to annihilate her plate with grace and aplomb. Thanks to our smartly dressed and polite server, the wine was perfectly paired to our meal. My wife ordered the Clafoutis which was served with vanilla bean ice cream in a skillet. I pretty much cried tears of joy. The plates are on the expensive side so we can’t make this a regular occasion, but we will definitely be back to Coquette for another date night or with friends to try out the candlelit patio seating.

I can’t believe I haven’t been here sooner! Went for lunch today and the food was amazing! Dessert was definitely the best part! Friendly staff and not crowded. Will be coming here again for brunch!

Really pretty restaurant in North Hills! They did a great job with the interior design of the place, everything really adds to the French café feel of the place. We made a reservation for a Friday night, you might have gotten in without one, but the place filled up pretty quickly! I started off with their petite tart, and it really wasn’t that petite. It is definitely a hearty appetizer, the bacon on top of it was delicious. Thick cut and melt in your mouth awesomeness. My husband got the onion soup and thoroughly enjoyed it. For dinner I went with the tuna nicoise salad. The tuna was a solid portion for a salad. Overall it was quite tasty, but the capers kind of overpowered everything at times. My husband ordered the croissant burger. It got messy, but it was tasty! Their location is good within North Hills since you can park in that first parking lot to the right when you pull in and don’t have to deal with the congestion. Looking forward to trying them out for Sunday Brunch!

The Quiche Lorraine hit the spot. I definitely recommend this dish. I also enjoy their pancakes and bacon. Plus, i was able to wash it down with a $ 2 mimosa. You can’t beat that deal!

$ 2 mimosas for Sunday brunch, what a steal! Before starting this deal Coquette offered bottomless mimosas for $ 10. My best friend and I asked how many mimosas has someone drank at brunch, he stated 7. Challenge accepted, we drank 8. Boom. On this most recent visit I brought Mom for an amazing brunch experience! The Peach & Bacon Jam Crêpe was good but I am happy that we split it because I could not eat it all. I think that it was just too sweet to be a meal for me. The Quiche Lorraine is BOMB, it is served with a small salad. Each and every time that I come here for brunch, this is what I order. We also split an order of the Coquette Potatoes which were tasty but a bit pricey to be a side item. Make a reservation on opentable and try Coquette Brasserie!

This is a fantastic French restaurant! Delicious dinner this past Tuesday night. He had a couple bourbons and I had a couple glasses of the Beaujolais. What a beautiful red wine and it tasted so well. He had the seared duck breast and I had the seared scallops. While I only had a quick taste of his, I devoured mine and what I could not finish I did take home! Baby lima beans, corn purée and other rich flavors, plus those large seared scallops. There weren’t many of them, which was a bit shocking since that entrée was priced at $ 27, but they were cooked superbly. For dessert, we did enjoy a delightful blueberry crisp with ice cream. Aside from the food and really killer brunch — I’ve had that too, this is a great place to people watch. So many characters, the servers are trained very seriously, and it’s an overall splendid presentation.

We came here early on Easter Sunday for dinner, it was a true delight! The ambiance was wonderful, the restaurant was inviting, and the staff was very well trained. We ordered the steak tartare and escargot for appetizers and they were delicious! Both dishes were well prepared and the presentation was wonderful. The escargot was tender. The steak was so fresh and perfectly seasoned! Our waiter was knowledgeable about both the dinner menu and the drink menu. He was attentive, without being intrusive. For dinner, we all ended up having the Steak Frites… none of us were disappointed, the bernaise sauce was creamy and rich. The steak was cooked perfectly; we all had the hanger steak which was as tender as a filet! We would definitely go back and would recommend this to others!

My family is a big fan of the Urban Food Group. Vivace, Coquette, and Chow have never disappointed. However, Coquette is probably the one we most frequent for a go to lunch or brunch. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant itself is always a nice place to catch up on our lives. We started off with a shared brussel sprouts that were so good that I forgot to take a picture… There were pearl onions, some balsamic vinegar and what else bacon. We should have gotten two more orders. Definitely recommend. Next up was my fries with a side of steak sandwich. Seriously. I ate all of them before I remembered what I actually ordered.(The sandwich was good too but woah the fries). I cleaned my plate and I don’t always do that! Coquette is definitely worth a stop by. Hamburgers, salads, fish, everything is good. If I haven’t been sick a glass of their nice wine selection would have made it even better :)

Date night! Very nice. Relaxing and the service is top notch! The food was good. I was a bit disappointed in the french onion soup, it looked divine but was a little bland. The duck confit made up for the soup because it was great! Our server was exceptional and we had a lot of fun. Plus we drove a Lexus and that got us a free dessert! The dessert was scrumptious.

Eating the bread and butter they serve is like finding the meaning of life. The experience is like one of those moments one would say, «Oh, so that is what has been missing from my life all these years.» The Croque Monsieur sandwich is like therapy. The gruyère cheese totally brings this together. Try this sandwich now. Just drop what you are doing, and get their Croque Monsieur. Everything will suddenly make sense. My boyfriend complains that the Monte Cristo is too sweet, and I was sort of skeptical about a sandwich made with turkey and smothered in syrup. If you want meat in a dessert dish, though, they have something for you. Definitely a favorite spot.

Service was fantastic, the food was put of this world. I had the Monte Cristo and it was life changing. Thick french toast, generous portions of ham and turkey, all covered in rich maple syrup. My Fiancé had the French onion soup and the steak samdwich. The French onion, she put in the top 3 french onion soups she’s ever had(disclosure she ALWAYS gets the French onion soup anywhere we go) the steak sandwich was fantastic, with this cuts of medium steak cut on the bias. We topped it off with $ 2 mimosas(maybe only a Sunday thing but I’m not sure.) They were delicious and you can tell they weren’t made with cheap champagne. 10⁄10 will definitely be back!

It’s all about that quiche, ’bout that quiche, ’bout that quiche, oh baby! Imagine this: Sunday brunch with your favorite couple {shout out to Jon G. & Katherine L. *newly engaged!*}, reservations made via OpenTable, you walk into the high ceilings, naturally lit restaurant and are greeted and shown to your table. It’s exactly what you’d imagine walking into a French bistro should be like and conveniently located at North Hills Mall(the most unique mall in the Triangle, with decent eating spots!) The menu is quite large(literally, it’s like reading a huge cardboard sized newspaper); filled with entrees, apps, salads and soups. I highly recommend the French onion soup as a starter if you’re extra hungry {each table is also served bread to start}. We ordered the Croque Madame and the Spinach Quiche(both served with a simple mixed greens salad with vinaigrette) as entrees, and while the croque madame was good, the quiche outshone it by far! They’ve must fold something into those eggs, crème fraîche possibly, because it is by far the fluffiest, tastiest quiche I’ve enjoyed, and that’s even with it being slightly cold in the center, unfortunate that they didn’t get the temperature right. Regardless, I would definitely return for brunch, I loved the atmosphere, the service was excellent, and I don’t think it will take long to crave that quiche again!

Man I love this place. Enough to deal with the crazy north hills parking. I lived in Belgium for two years and this place brings me back to the Brassseries in Brussels and Paris. There’s some solid French fair on the menu and the charcuterie is top notch. I’ve had brunch and dinner in the dining room and I’ve enjoyed Charcuterie and booze at the zinc bar. All of these have been great experiences. I’ve been very happy with their wine and beer selection too. Overall, this place has great food and drink and a little taste of France.

I had such high hopes for Coquette. The space is beautiful, and makes you think you’re in a larger, more cosmopolitan city. But the food does not live up to the décor’s standards. On my first visit(late afternoon on a weekday) I just had coffee and dessert(blueberry clafoutis). It was very sweet — too much sugar in the batter — and we had to flag down a server even though the place was nearly empty. On my second visit I sat at the bar for brunch. The service was great this time despite the crowd. But they served me the worst croque monsieur ever. I wish I had taken a photo of it and/or sent it back, but I was so hungry and the place was so busy, I just wolfed it down, paid, and left. What they served me was 1 thin slice of ham(one slice!) and a bit of gruyère cheese between 2 barely toasted/grilled pieces of white Wonder bread, with some mornay sauce dumped on top, and a handful of mixed greens on the side. This dish was not acceptable and not worth $ 11.

Came here on a Tuesday night around 7:30PM. Host was attentive and we were seated right away. Romantic ambience with plenty of small circular tables for two. Menu was a little bit hard to see due to the dim lighting. I ordered the for cost salad which came out pretty quickly. The salad dressing was light and the greens were fresh. The bread was fresh and the butter was light and creamy. Server was friendly and attentive. Very clean restaurant with daily specials for dinner. I would suggest dressing business casual.

$ 2 Mimosas! I’m in love. I love Sundays now! The Quiche is AMAZING! Be sure to try the Steak Sandwich, Brussels Sprouts, and French Onion soup! Parking is a pain… I typically make reservations on Open Table. I love the staff here, very accommodating. This is my FAVORITE Restaurant in North Hills! not over priced. I need to make dinner reservations seriously! I always come for Brunch. Then again, I live in Charlotte now. Location is great, easy to find.

The most perfect omelette I have ever had in the Triangle, always fluffy and never over cooked. Make your reservation for just before noon on Sunday’s when they legally serve their delicious mimosas! Ms go to to take out of town guest and family . Just lovely …

Stopped by this place early afternoon for Sunday brunch. Ordered«omelette du jour», basically a vegetarian omelette filled with mushrooms and spinach. The omelette was not any different than other place(s) in town, not mention the potatoes on the side was cold and dry. I had to wait forever and ask them twice to get my coffee… Location is convenient(N Hills area) with plenty of parking spaces, but that’s just about the only positive about this location. Atmosphere/vibe is decent, but not worth the hype(at least for brunch).

I came here with my mom on a Friday night for an early dinner and I was surprised with how empty it was. Even when we left around 6:30, a majority of the tables were unoccupied. So it was lacking in atmosphere, but our waiter was nice and our food came out quickly. I ordered the Le Coquette Burger, which is topped with brie, caramelized onions, sunny side up egg, and bacon on a croissant bun. I’m not convinced that a burger on a croissant qualifies as French cuisine, but it was definitely tasty! The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly. However, the croissant does not do much to soak up the juice or hold the whole burger together, making it pretty messy. I would not recommend this as good«date food,» unless you don’t mind your date looking at you with burger juices and egg dripping down your chin. I wasn’t a big fan of the fries that came with the burger and ended up not eating most of them. They were thinly cut and there was nothing really special about them. Overall it was a good experience. If half stars were possible, I would give it 3.5÷5. While the food was a solid 4 stars, it was not a lively atmosphere and it isn’t a place that I would put at the top of my «regular» restaurants. It is just barely above average for me.
