Azurelise chocolate truffles make the perfect gift for demanding chocolate connoisseurs who are all about exquisite flavor and not at all about pretty presentation and packaging. All Azurelise truffle fillings are homemade. They include caramel cream, sea salt caramel, classic ganache, butter creams, various liqour infusions, orange, raspberry and strawberry. Azurelise chocolate truffles are made to order and shipped or picked up by customers at Azurelise Chocolate Shop.
History
Established in 2002.
Reginald O. Savage founded Azurelise Chocolate Company in November 2002. At that time, Savage was a tenured, award winning philosophy professor at North Carolina State University. Prior to accepting the position at NC State, Savage held the position of Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Virginia Tech and St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Savage specialized in Logic and the History of Philosophy and still does serious research in those areas.
Savage’s bourbon infused chocolate truffle («Chocolate Julep») was featured on the Food Network in 2008. In 2012, after developing Azurelise as a best selling chocolate truffle at A Southern Season, North Carolina’s premier gourmet food and gift store, Savage re-started Azurelise to an independent, website based business.

Business Owner
Reginald O. Savage is a University of Wisconsin — Madison PhD (1986) and self-taught master chocolatier. He presently is researching and writing a book on heresy and metaphysics in 16th and 17th century Christian philosophical theology and also a chocolate truffle recipe book.
