We make house calls and help you with your difficult decision to put your pet to sleep. Dr. Azure Holland is the only Veterinarian in this area who is also trained in Pet Loss Guidance by Dr. Wallace Sife, P.h.D, the leading expert in pet loss issues. We believe putting your pet to sleep at home is a kindness for your pet, no stress for the pet and privacy for you to grieve. We are a mobile veterinary service specializing in at home pet euthanasia.

History

Established in 2012.

Dr. Holland has been inspired to open this practice by her own experiences. She had to drive home one day to help her family Golden Retriever, Venus. Venus had been sick for a while and Dr. Holland knew it was time. Venus was in her favorite spot in the yard, it was a warm sunny day. She was able to care for Venus and performed the final act of love so that Venus would not suffer anymore. It was at this time that she knew she should help other families and their beloved pets at times like this. Venus was comfortable at home in her yard and it was the right way for this to happen.

Dr. Holland is influenced by the old way of doing things. Many small town vets in Eastern North Carolina would perform this service for their clients, and she wants to bring this service to the Triangle as many doctors cannot devote the time necessary to perform house calls for euthanasia. She realizes that families are more comfortable this way; they can grieve in the comfort of their home.

Dr. Azure Holland is from Bailey — a small town in Eastern North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Animal Science and attended the University of Tennessee Veterinary School, graduating in 2007. Dr. Holland has been in private practice in the Raleigh area since that time.
