This could be an awesome place to come and have a few beers and eat. The food is always above par. But, the service there sucks balls!!! I have NEVER gotten an order without having to wait. Even if its just a beer. If the workers there would focus more on taking care of the customers and less time huddled up at the bar and taking smoke breaks it would be a much better place. This place will not survive simply because people do not want to work! They had rather show up and hang out and try to draw a check. Sometimes oops my bad isn’t enough. A for sale sign will be in the window. soon

This is a great sports bar with plenty of tvs. Ordered the wings in the cajun and Caribbean jerk both were tasty. The cajun is spicy but flavorful. Would most def recommend those wings. Ordered gin and tonic and it tasted more like gin and seltzer so I had to switch from my norm. Other than that, great bar with good food.

Ok… we ordered fried pickles to start and they were good. We had bacon/bacon cheddar burgers and they were cooked perfectly and hand made. I had a fried green tomato added to mine and they were yummy! We will be returning. Fun place!

I’m going to start with a response to the first review: The prices are very much in line with other local establishments the service is a bit sketchy however they have been open a total of 1 week give it time not sure what the reasoning was to speak to management but most managers aren’t very kind in any establishment restaurant or otherwise. Now to my personal opinion to the Sportszone: I rated this place at 4 stars instead of 5 for one reason, the draft Fat Tire I ordered wasn’t cold there could be several different reasons for this but I fear it may have to do with the cooler in which it is being held. The burger I ordered was excellent I’m a firm believer that if a bar has consistently good food then everything else will work itself out. The bar has a great selection of beers including several on draft and the mixed drink list is quite extensive as well… Their play on bringing drinks based on SEC teams is nice although I’ve never heard of a Crimson Cooler and anytime I go to Tuscaloosa for game day my go to drink is a Yellow Hammer. The service staff was courteous and attentive. The burger I ordered was far above my expectations. The atmosphere and general setup of the establishment is about as close as one could get to Buffalo Wild Wings in this area. If Rainbow City will pass Sunday alcohol sales it could send this place over the top unless a BWW’s were to open up… Service will get better. Inventory will improve as soon as they are able to calculate food and beverage usage. Sportszone hasn’t advertised from what I can tell and has opened relatively quiet. So word of mouth will be what makes or breaks this place. I hope that future Unilocalers will take into consideration that this place is brand new and a new concept for this area that is very much needed. However, If The Sportszone keeps the consistency on food then it will all work out anyways…
