If I were stranded on a desert island and the temperature was 120 degrees and I could only drink one beverage, I would pick coffee from Wilson’s — any of them! I am a huge coffee drinker and my standards aren’t even that high(if there’s coffee available, I’ll drink it) but if I used Wilson’s as that with which to measure other coffees against, others would fail miserably. Wilson’s far and away serves the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. If you brew a pot and leave the pot sitting on the burner, this coffee never tastes bitter or stale. I can’t say that with any other coffees I’ve ever had in my life. I send it to friends in other parts of the country because it’s worth the shipping costs. Not one single person I’ve ever referred to Wilson’s hasn’t had the same opinion — it’s the best coffee any of us have ever tasted. I don’t know how the beans are roasted, but however it’s done, it’s perfect. Also, bonus points for several flavors being rainforest friendly. Let’s enjoy our coffee and keep the birds safe! One tiny little suggestion I’d make to the owners… there’s so much you could do with the inside of this store, but it seems like that remains untapped. The window decorations and store décor leaves much to be desired. It’s a really cool looking space, but you can hardly see that with the functional way things are arranged. I’d also get a nice supply of magazines to get people to stick around. It would certainly bring more business since I guaranty people would be purchasing more beverages if they stayed longer. The people who work here are very nice as well. When I move from Racine, this will definitely be one of the three things I miss the most!

Exceptional coffee! Mission accomplished. Space has great potential. However, poor attention to detail(the awful hand written signs in marker on disposable whiteboard) ruins the experience for me. Great coffee, space with a ton of potential, unfortunately just poorly executed.

Racine’s Hidden Jem. I am home for the holidays from college and needed a place to do school work. This place is actually amazing. They have a huge selection of coffees and teas. Homemade sweets. Artisan chocolates. And they roast on site. I grew up 6 miles away my whole life and never heard of it. Gotta love Unilocal

Undoubtedly, this place is a gem. They painstakingly roast their beans from the unique growing locations that span the globe. They roast in-shop, in view, and by hand(with the precise use of computer monitors and sensors to ensure proper temperature and the like, not to mention continual smelling of small samples taken from the machine as it roasts). I spoke with the roaster, and he told me about his personal relationship with one of the growers, where the grower gives him first dibs on the season’s fresh crop. The bags of beans they sell are almost never more than a couple weeks old — you can often find beans that were roasted the day before, and usually you’ll find beans that were roasted that week. I can’t speak for the tea, but they offer great varieties. Their drip coffee on special is very rich and fresh. They also offer mostly any variety coffee you find for sale on the shelf to be freshly ground and brewed using a French press(if the full flavor and nuance of coffee is desired, this is probably my favorite route). They offer unique bakery items, which I suspect they make themselves. The candy and snacks they have for sale are very unique — they include things like imported candies and single-origin chocolates. If you need something relating to the manual brewing of coffee or tea, this is the place to go! They have it all. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and will recognize you as a regular.

Wilson’s is a local favorite. It’s a cozy atmosphere with a laid back environment. It’s a great place to go alone with a book or to meet with friends to chat. The drinks they serve are great and the staff are exceptionally nice! If they are busy, the service can take a bit longer than a Starbuck’s, but then again they are a family owned, small business, so they rarely have more than 2 or 3 people working at a time. I really like this place and tend to stop in several times each month.

Great high quality coffee! I grew up in the area and always visit Wilson’s coffee when I’m home. Nice atmosphere and wide variety of coffee. I try to keep my house on stock with Wilsons coffee.

Seriously one of the best coffeeshops I’ve ever been to, with the nicest people working there! I went there for the first time today(twice if I’m going to be honest!) and the second time I was there today, the guy behind the counter remembered me! Cannot recommend highly enough!

I came here just to get a half pound of Antiqua, but I ended up staying for a hot cider. The interior is a bit worn out looking, but who cares? It’s all about the Java, and they even roast their own. There are few coffee shops in the area, 2 in Racine and Kenosha combined, that don’t say Starbucks. This one predates them all and is the only one who roasts the beans on site.

Ugh, I haven’t had coffee this good in a while. A friend and I were passing through Racine, and we wanted coffee. A quick search on Unilocal!finds this place, with a flawless 5-star average. This place is definitely a local’s sort of place. It’s comfortable and friendly and warm, and there’s a roasting machine in plain view. There’s quite a variety of beans you can buy in bags, plus plenty of Bodum products(french presses, pour overs, etc.) for the coffee enthusiasts. I got what I like to call a «fortified» Americano(3 shots of espresso). My friend ordered a cup of Dutch Windmill Cookie(or something like that), which wasn’t on their menu. The barista gladly found some beans, ground them, and put them in a french press and gave my buddy a timer set to three minutes. It’s quite an experience getting to press and pour a special blend that they didn’t have on the menu. The baristas were friendly and my caffe Americano was stellar. Definitely a place to revisit and a strong recommendation to anyone who enjoys coffee in a casual setting. An even stronger recommendation to any coffee aficionados/enthusiasts.

Let’s make this short and sweet so you can be sipping on your coffee sooner than you think. Wilson’s Coffee & Tea is always hopping, but there’s always a place to sit. Thankfully, there are communal tables, so if you don’t mind making new friends, pull up a chair. When the weather is nice, they offer outdoor seating as well. Though there is always a place to sit, be conscious of the noise level. Wilson’s has a friendly atmosphere, but it might not be your best bet for getting work done. If you are looking for a pastry, you can’t go wrong with the Apricot Scone. Not to mention their Spice Apple Cider is literally to die for, just a whiff of it will make you weak in the knees.

Absolutely the best coffee! The customer service is always great. I usually get the black forest mocha with an extra sit if espresso. Definitely better than any other coffee shop including Starbucks!

If I lived here, this might be the only coffee shop I’d visit on the regular. I was drawn in by the 5 star average, its proximity to North Beach Park and the hours: open on a Sunday. Excellent find! I’d compare the quality of coffee to that of Hansa in Libertyville, and Wilson’s chai is bar none, the best chai we(me and the hubs) have EVER had. They have their own blend, and bonus– they sell it in jugs to take and make at home. We enjoyed our hot bevvies with a yummy orange chocolate chip scone, which they make there with an array of other desserts and pastries like cookies, muffins, cake and the like. There weren’t many pics on Unilocal so it looked smaller to me than it is. It’s actually quite large and roomy, filled with tables and chairs throughout, as well as patio tables outside. You won’t find plush couches or chairs but we were quite comfortable. And it’s clean, I’d say immaculate. I don’t want to go home to our smelly, hairy dogs, as a result. ;) It was quiet when we arrived, having just opened at 10:30, but within minutes, it was bustling and vibrant. The locals clearly know where the good stuff is. The staff was sweet as can be, very friendly, attentive and welcoming!

A great cozy coffeeshop in West Racine. There’s few options in this area and their drinks and food are great. They also make their own chai blend, which is delicious. We’ve also purchased their hot chocolate for gifts before. They have bike racks in the front and there is street parking on Washington. The décor is a little boring and they close quite early(6pm on weekdays if I’m not mistaken) but in Racine you can’t really have everything!

Ooooo man that’s some strong coffee. Hot me some at ten in the morning after having to get up at five and survive a meeting without it. But whut whut! This coffee was worth waiting for! Love the little 8 oz cup cos that’s what I got and it gave me a buzz to last a while as well. Just with the single scoop of espresso. They have some funky coffee options, would love to come back and try the black forest coffee and the garden harvest coffee. The place is super cute with lots of space, outdoor seating and pastel green color on the walls. Cute big teapots too and they have a long list of cool and exploratory teas. I need to come back and check them out. Just took a bite out of my ham and pastrami sammie which isn’t that great but would be solved with mustard– which they give for free– and some toasting.
