The north side of Racine and Caledonia has no shortage of Italian and Chinese places, but you were driving if you wanted any Mexican. Now that’s not the case. We haven’t eaten there, just gotten it for take-out, so I can’t talk about the service. However, the inside looked very clean and had nice décor. But you won’t be going there for the décor, you’ll be going for the food. It’s OUTSTANDING. We’ve had the enchiladas, chimichangas, flautas as well as chips, salsa, and guacamole. Everything has been amazing. Pico’s is highly recommended!

My husband and I, both lovers of GOOD Mexican food were eager to have Pico’s Tacos y Cerveza open, as its literally within walking or bike riding(well, not in the snow… but later!) to a local restaurant. On opening day, I asked my husband to do take out and we enjoyed Chicken Mole Burritos and Enchiladas in the comfort of our own home. Sabroso(delicious)! We went back today and even though they were extremely busy, the food was delightful again.(I had Talapia Tacos and my husband had a Chicken Burrito) Food is great, service could use someone a bit more seasoned, and perhaps the layout of the restaurant could be improved upon… BUT we truly hope this local place becomes successful, expands and is around for awhile. The food is great-the other things are truly minor. Happy tummies here! Recommendations for Pico: Food-great. Keep it up! Décor and furnishings. Chairs are big and clumsy and either too big or difficult to move on the carpet. Where we sat, we were really close to the folks behind us. No entry area or waiting area-a desk at the front would be ideal. Service-ask for refills on chips and soda versus water. All else… we will be back and happy, loyal customers. Buena Suerte Pico’s!

I ordered 3 carry out meals for supper on New Year’s Day. Service was spot on. There was a steady flow of customers which encouraged me. I watched people come in with lists for their order which meant they’re a return customer. I’m diabetic and started having a blood sugar issue while waiting for my order. The server kindly comped an order of chips and salsa, of which both were very tasty. We ordered a combination plate, enchilada plate, supper nachos and a burrito. My family enjoyed what they ate and could not finish their meal except the nachos, which we shared. If I have to criticize anything it would be the jalapeño peppers in the nachos. They simply didn’t have any bite. Good luck Pico Tacos and Cerveza! We will be back!

Got take out during their opening week. The food was great but they were understaffed. I don’t think they anticipated the excitement the neighborhood had. Tacos and nachos were really good.. Pollo Tepic was good, not as good as at the table but good none the less. Worth a try and chance to establish themselves. Yum.
