Neponset Landing

This place is falling apart:
–no security at all.
–Cars are been smash & broken for long time.
–Thieves broken in to some apartments & management do nothing about it.
–The maintenance staff are absolutely useless.
–The Concierge staff always gone and no where to be seen to get your packages
–The fire alarm goes on around 1 am in the morning or around 6:00 am when you are sleeping. As a result you have the fire department coming very loud as a wake up alarm!
–Lot of neighbors smoking dope every where
–Pets peeing all over the hallways.
–A lot of rude and pigs neighbors helping this place to smell like trash, urine and Shit.
–Now they are trying to correct a malfunction of the building construction, because is cracking all over. Hopefully I move out before the building collapse.

Neponset Landing is a great place to live. Great views, amenities, incredible staff — they have fixed all of my maintenance requests within 24 hours. It’s truly carefree living.
Question… What are the 2016 common room enhancements?

I have been living here since Dec 2012. I love this place, mainly because of its location. It is close to North Quincy Red Line T. There is shuttle service between the building and station. The building has great view, spacious apartments and big parking lot with option of having a covered parking. Marina Bay is just 5 minutes away and Quincy Center is just 10 min away. Airport is less than 6 miles and downtown is less than 30 minutes. The building is pet friendly. There is a large common hall which you can reserve to host your parties… and so on… I can go on. This building is one of the few BEST places to live south of Boston (and specially in Quincy).
What I don’t’ like:
The fitness center is tiny (I wish it was bigger). And no swimming pool. Lots of false fire alarms.

First of all, smoking is allowed in the building and they will do very little to stop it so if you do not like the smell of cigarette smoke flowing through your apartment day and night don’t move here. Also, the smoke alarm goes off at least 4 – 6 times a month and always at the most annoying hours of the day. This is probably due to the fact that they allow people to smoke inside their apartments!!! The alarm has gone off twice this weekend alone so we may have a record number of annoying alarms going off for 45 minutes at time this month! When the alarm goes off for a legitimate reason I fear that no one will leave the building and Neponset will have a serious lawsuit in their hands!
Besides the annoyance with the smoking and alarms going off, the apartments are decent for the Boston area. The only good thing about this place is the shuttle that runs you to the trains during work hours. The rooms are shaped funny because there are multiple corners due to support beams?!

After 5.5 months ago, I very happy. I hope to stay for a long time. I most love the HUGE WINDOWS, spanning nearly from the ceiling to the floor. The sun pours into my apartment, and despite being ten floors up, it feels like being outside.
My unit has a balcony. Sometimes I work from home with my laptop out on the balcony. To the left I see the green Pope Park. Straight ahead I see the Boston skyline (and on the 4^th I could see the fireworks from the Esplanade.) To the right I see Marina Bay with all its boats and blue waters. (It’s a 15 min walk to the boardwalk.) Below my balcony I see the Neponset River. Next to the river we have two grills in a new patio area with seating for 16, as well as a large dock, where people fish, play with their dogs, and lay in the sun. There are bike paths all around and Pope Park just across the street. Restaurants within a three minute walk.
To be honest, between the river full of boats, the sun pouring in my windows, and so many outdoor activities — sometimes it feels like I am living on vacation.
And of course the G-​Y-​M. The gym is small, but it’s very clean and everything is always in working order. Weights, weight machines, ellipticals, treadmills, a bike. No more excuses!
The train is noisy. If the windows are open, I have to pause the TV for three seconds till it passes. If you don’t want to hear the train, pick a unit that isn’t close to the train.
If you work in Boston or on the T, there is a free shuttle that stops at our front door from early morning until 7pm on weekdays. It’s very much like living in downtown Boston without having to pay downtown Boston rent. If you go to the N. Quincy station, there is a free shuttle that will take you to the Marina Bay boardwalk and back until almost 11pm every night.
The heat is included in the rent. When it warms up, they switch to A/​C. However, you can still run your heater, but you are paying for it on your electric bill.
I would not call this a «luxury» complex. The carpet, appliances, and countertops are not «luxury». But it’s nicer than 95% of the apartments out there, with a concierge, beautiful lobby, and maintenance staff, along with a has a new, clean feel — with those big windows that I love so much.
One negative is that they charge you for water. My bill for two people has ranged from $ 42 to $ 101 per month. (I finally stopped my son from taking 30 min showers…) They do charge I think $ 35 «pet rent».
For parking, I’m very happy. Since we are on the river, there are birds in the parking garage, so that gets on your car. But I will NEVER HAVE TO SHOVEL SNOW AGAIN. I have never seen any vandalism, etc. I have guests often and they have always parked on the side of the building without incident. You can speak with the concierge if you’re concerned about a guest’s car. They are eager to help.
The bathrooms are new, all white and not at all small. The entire apartment feels very new. I am impressed by the Maintenance team. I don’t have a husband for that kind of thing, so this is a big deal to me.
The dryers are a negative — they are high end «green» machines that don’t really dry the clothes. But in five months I have figured out how to use them better, and it’s all good.
The office staff has been excellent. Julie, Sam, Molly — everyone. They are very friendly and they bend over backwards to help. I also like that I pay rent online, and can communicate with the staff via email. Maintenance requests can be made online from my desk at work. Confirmations come in a text msg. The concierge is there until midnight and will help with just about anything you need. They accept any packages you receive, so no worries there. There is a nice waiting area if someone comes to meet you. Pizza is delivered to your apt. door.
The halls are not full of running children. They are very quiet, and we try to always be quiet in the halls. Also, I have never once hear a noise from the neighbors on my same floor. I occasionally hear a thump from above me, but never a voice or music, etc. It’s very quiet (except for the train). I do hear cars from the balcony. Mainly because I am on the corner right next to the bridge.
I love my apartment.

We stayed at the place for one year and we had to move out due to relocation. We had some hesitations when we signed up the lease because of some negative comments online which turned out not true with our experience. We rated the place high because the facility is well maintained, staffs are very helpful and the concierge serve is so convenient since we ship packages often. Sam in the leasing office and gentlemen in the front desk, etc., took extra steps to help us when we needed. In contrast what was complained online by quite a few, we got our full deposit back. Also, we had no issue about parking, which was complained also online. 90% time when our friends came to visit us, they had no problem to find visitor’s parking spot. One time when they could not find one, the front desk gave them a complement parking ticket. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

moved in yesterday and the folks in the leasing office\property management made it extremely easy. My girlfriend and I had a lot of questions beforehand and everyone over there was extremely helpful and kind. I’ve seen the negative reviews online about the smell in the elevators and hallway and couldn’t disagree more… i don’t smell anything.
I look forward to the next 15+ months we are there!

I moved in 4 month ago and I couldn’t be happier living here.
Maintenance its great, just log in in to the building webpage and send your request and you can be sure the problem will be solved.
The leasing office agents are great, specially Giovanni, super accommodating, professional and always ready to help you. Community areas are well cleaned and the concierge its always happy to help you, Ive got dinner menus from him, directions to places and when Ive come with my groceries he offers to help taking them upstairs.
Great place!!!
