Absolutely love this place! Jessica is amazing with color! I have been several times and she’s done a fantastic job! The salon is clean an up beat! They offer you coffee or water immediately when you come in… I’m very glad I went with the great reviews and checked them out. I love my hairstylist and my hair is fun and always exciting!

I went to Leonardo’s and had the best experience ever. Love Jessica. She did a phenomenal job on my extensions. She was welcoming, warm and personal and I even set up an appointment for my daughter.
It’s the Newbury street feel and quality but in Quincy Massachusetts.
I would recommend her to anybody and everybody.

While looking for a new salon I reminded myself I never wrote a review of this one.
I first came to Leonardo’s back in August and it will be my last time. It seemed like it had the best reviews in Quincy, and I had just moved here. Considering it was within walking distance to my house I choose to give it a shot.
I specifically showed my stylist pictures of what I wanted. I stated I wanted a long bob but none of the pictures I had matched the length description I was going for so I showed an alternative picture (without a bob) to her that expressed the length.
I also requested auburn low lights to add dimension to my hair. At the time I had beautiful caramel highlights left over from my hairdresser in New York. I explained to my stylist that I would like the low lights to off set the caramel highlights still allowing some of the lighter color to come through.
During my entire visit I felt outcasted, as the two girls in tank tops and short shorts with major amounts of tattoos (very unprofessional looking) talked amongst themselves. As another reviewer mentioned, I, too, felt extremely uncomfortable.
To conclude my hair turned out much shorter than I requested, at least two inches. There was no long bob quality to it what so ever. I’m unsure if the stylist just forgot or thought she knew better. The «lowlights» covered all my highlights and were 1 – 2 shades darker than my dark brunette hair color, and not auburn by any stretch of the imagination. This created no dimension what so ever. I thought as she began to blow it out that it may begin to look better but it just left me in shock. Somehow this unprofessional girl had seemingly done essentially the opposite of what I requested.
I then payed my $ 170. I was told «it won’t be this expensive every time, there was just a lot of work to be done.» Not to mention I was there for three hours. I know back in New York I would have been there for two hours, looked amazing and only paid $ 130 at most. What a waste of time and money… After playing with some product at home I finally got it to the point where I could stand to look at myself in the mirror.
Now, almost four months later the low lights have washed out completely leaving whats left of my highlights to show through. I’m not sure if I’m upset or happy about this. Either way it proves the products are cheap and certainly not worth the prices they charge. I will never be returning, in fact I ofter scowl every time I pass the establishment.

My experience here was okay. I felt pretty uncomfortable when I first came in. No one really greeted me, smiled, or did anything remotely friendly. I asked for a cut and dye and when the stylist left to mix the coloring I saw another stylist peek around the corner at me — classic «go look at my client but be stealth about it». It made me extremely uncomfortable. After a while my stylist warmed up and was sweet and silly, but I couldn’t shake how awkward and uncomfortable I felt from the first half of my appointment. I also noticed when I got home that I had dye all over my forehead, ears, and cheeks, which I had to scrub off with rubbing alcohol. I also felt pretty weird because we spoke before she dyed my hair and she asked which of two colors I wanted — a darker and lighter version — and I asked for the dark version. She told me AFTER dying it that she mixed the light and dark so it wouldn’t be as dark. I appreciate that her intention was to make sure I didn’t leave with a bad color, but it felt really bizarre to me that she just decided to give me a different color than what I asked for. Overall my cut and color were fine but I will not be returning.

I’m so disappointed about their service, hairstylist didn’t see my hair and let someone take me straight to the shampoo chair without any consultation. I got really long hair and I want to cut sharpe angle long bob that I showed her the picture. The service wasn’t good as expected I felt rush. Shampoo and conditioner are so poor, no heat protector when doing blow dry. However, It looks fine when she blowed dry but after I wash my hair at home it’s look very basic bob, so plain, no layer at all, and uneven at the back. Price:$ 60 but I got $ 20 coupon for first time client so I just paid $ 40. Maybe they know new client always have $ 20 off coupon so they treat me so bad.

The first time I came here was for a trim. Everything was great and the cut came out reasonably well. The second time I came here I decided to chop off 4+ inches and go with a level, shoulder length, cut.
When she turned me around to look it was extremely choppy with a HUGE level put into it. When I brought it to her notice she said it would relax into my hair (this makes no sense since I asked for ONE length). I have rewashed it and let it air dry and it’s worse than I thought. I am so disappointed in the lack of supervision in this salon for the beginner stylist. Upon showing my cut to friends in the field they were appalled. I now have to cut off a huge chunk of hair to make it a very short bob and travel 2 hours to go back to my hometown stylist.
Never again!!!

After see all the good reviews, I called same day morning and they gave me afternoon appointment. The stylist put very little effort and washed my hair partially. She didn’t wash the back. She absolutely no desire to do the work. It seems that she is just got out of the training and no experience. I just asked her cut little bit since it is going to be bad. She cut both right and left unbalanced and asked me $ 50. I should go super cut instead! They will do better job than this. I don’t recommend here for hair cut.

I found Jessica years ago by groupon best purchase ever! She is the coolest I always leave happy. She does amazing I have extra thick coarse crazy hair. She does the diva cut and blows out my hair. God bless her arms of steel. She even does my daughter. Love her talent and her.

The owner, Micki (hope I spelled that right), is A to Z amaaazzzzing! I came in fresh offa hair disaster from another local salon (not naming names), after which I was so jaded I attempted to do my own blonde with a bottle. Needless to say, it was a mess! She forewarned me that she likely wouldn’t be able to completely fix it on my first appointment, to which I responded that I did not have expectations that were out of touch with reality. Whatever she could do to improve it, I would be happy. Well, she ended up blasting even my greatest expectations out into science fiction land. My hair looks better than it ever has! I asked for a buttery blonde color and it literally looks like a bowl of golden melted butter with the sun shining down on it! Absolutely gorgeous, and so healthy!
Case in point: If you want an amazing blonde head of hair with great shine and miraculous smoothness, definitely go here! I got you awapuhi deep condition as well, which worked wonders. Thanks so much, Micki! I will definitely be back!!!

Jessica has been the one and only lady to ever cut my hair in a way that I have been happy with. This salon in and of itself is just a blast to be in, as all the ladies are super friendly and knowledgable about that they are doing. I walk out feeling like a rockstar every time I leave there. Extra points go out to Leonardo’s for the text message reminder of an upcoming appointment. I’m in love with this place, and have never had a terrible haircut from my lady Jes!

I have had my hair cut by Jess at this salon for 6 years. I chose this salon after having my hair butchered by a few of the local barbers. If you are looking for quality, and care about your appearance, you should go to Leonardo’s Salon. Jess has consistently given me great hair cuts.
The salon was recently remodeled and it is always clean/​neat when I get there. They offer complimentary water and coffee if you have a wait, though I have never experienced a wait longer than 10 minutes. The online booking system is fantastic, and I have never had an issue getting in touch with the salon. They even email you a receipt, so it is efficient.

While I haven’t had the opportunity to visit Jessica at the salon, I have experienced first-​hand, the amazing work she does off-​site (3 different weddings). She is very professional and at the same time, a calming presence while dealing with anxious brides, families, bridal party members and all that goes with wedding preparations. Jess is very innovative and accommodating — just talk with her and she will work with you to get the results you want. Wish I could see her more often!

Jess has done my daughter’s prom hair for her junior and senior proms. She won Prom Queen for her senior prom! Both times, her hair came our gorgeous!!! You want an amazing up-​do, go see Jess!!!

I always have a hard time getting an appointment. No one picks up the phone, the website is nonexistent and the email address that is provided keeps coming back as undelieverable.
It really upsets me, I really like the girls here but it’s a constant hassle getting an appointment. I am not sure what else to do other than look elsewhere.
I wonder if they lost any other clients because of this.

I’ve been coming to this salon for the past 4 years, even as I’ve moved all over the metro Boston area. The prices are great, and the service is even better.
I’ve only seen Lynn, and she’s able to interpret my unreasonable ramblings as to what I want my hair to look like into reality. My color always comes out fantastic. I went in a few months ago with the request to add some highlights … and lowlights … but really darken it up (but not too much). She addressed my concerned face by telling me that she was going to dye my hair darker than I wanted, but it would slightly fade in a few days to exactly what I wanted. And you know what? I was exactly right.
The girls are very knowledgeable, and will be happy to see you to fix anything you’re not happy with (not that I’ve had to go back for any fixes!).

I had such a great experience with Jessica at Leonardo’s! I recently moved to the area, and I referred to Unilocal to help find a stylist who was experienced with curls. Jessica gave me her full attention – A lot of stylists I’ve seen before look at my thick curly hair and seem a little overwhelmed, but Jessica was seriously professional, made me feel completely comfortable, and took the time to explain what the best cut would be for my hair type. She showed me a cool technique for how to add volume to my curls too.
The salon is clean, modern, and funky. The website has a promotion for $ 20 off your first cut if you’re a new client – Highly recommend scheduling an appointment here – Loved it!

I had an excellent experience with Jessica at Leonardo’s.
I have really odd textured hair. It’s very curly, very kinky in some areas, and then wavy in other areas and overall it’s extremely thin and fine. Due to lots of past damage and me not really taking proper care of my hair — it truly was disastrous. I looked into getting a «deva curl» haircut which led me to Jessica.
She was awesome. The haircut was great. I had to get quite a bit trimmed off, but she really was conservative and tried to keep as much length for me as possible. I was so please with the way it came out, my hair looks 100 times more healthy and revived. i feel like now it will really start to grow in nice with this cut, and with the proper care. The deva curl cut is interesting — she does it on dry hair and just goes through each curl individually and cuts it according to how it grows. It was very different. Jessica was so nice and easy to talk to and very informative about everything. The salon was so cute inside, i loved how it was setup. Overall, I had a great experience and I’d definitely recommend Jessica, she was awesome.
EDIT: I wanted to add that it’s now been about 2 weeks since I’ve had my hair done at Leonardos by Jessica… all I can say is that this is the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. Honestly. Every single day my hair looks nice, it’s never frizzy, it falls perfectly, there is no effort. Just throw in a few products and blow dry quickly with the diffuser and I’m all set. It’s been growing in wonderfully and I’m just so happy with it. I am so impressed! Amazing results! If you have curls or have issues or trouble with your curls, come here for deva curl cut with Jessica, it’s so worth it!

I had my first experience at Leonardo’s today, and I could not be happier with my experience! I called this morning hoping I could get an appointment and trusting from Unilocal that any stylist I got would be great. I managed to get an appointment for later in the afternoon with Lynn.
I don’t think I’ve ever had such a personal salon experience with an unfamiliar stylist. From the moment I walked in, Lynn was asking me questions to really personalize her service to me. She asked about my hair cut history, color history, how often I flat iron my hair, the list goes on. She gave me a few tips along the way as well.
I really felt like Lynn listened to what I wanted with my hair which seems so rare in a stylist! She took a look at 2 pictures I had to show her, and one of my favorite things that she did was telling me the process she was going to take, which kept me from panicking in the chair that my layers weren’t choppy enough or being razored like I asked (she razored after the blow dry). The cut she gave me was phenomenal, and thorough, and my color is super bright red just like I had wanted!
A friendly, professional, and talented stylist who paid lots of attention to detail! Jess was also working and she was friendly and personable as well. A great experience, I will definitely be a repeat customer.
