She was very good for the short time I’d seen her(3 visits) but she has moved to Florida.

Dr. Laura Cloukey is not only a great doctor but also a genuinely nice person. I am so happy to have found her. She really listens to you, and patiently communicates everything and makes sure to answer all your concerns and questions. Unfortunately many doctors make you feel as you are just one of their business’ customers; You need to be lucky to find doctors like Dr. Cloukey. She is one of those doctors that you really miss and you won’t feel that bad when you are sick because you know you will be taken care of by a great doctor that you fully trust.

I have not seen Dr. Cloukey since I moved away from the South Shore back in 2005⁄2006 time frame, but I have missed her terribly! She is a great doctor and has a wonderful«bedside manner» that makes it really easy to talk to her. I have not found another doctor who has measured up since. I have now recently moved back to Massachusetts, and despite being on the North Shore, I am going to drive to Quincy for doctors appointments for the privilege of having her as my doctor. Honestly, this woman is a rare breed. I highly recommend her. Unfortunately, it does not appear she is accepting new patients at the moment. :( Additonally, just as an FYI, the phone number on this Unilocal profile page is wrong, but it won’t let me change it. The correct number(if you want to try and beg to get in as a patient with her) is:(617) 472‑3400.

Alas, comes the time when I have to break up with Dr. Cloukey. So sad… and it’s not her, it’s me. I live and work soooo far away, and even though her awesome staff will call in stuff for me if I’m too sick to come in, sometimes, when I’m too sick, I just want to see the doc in person, and I can’t do that when I live and work in Marlborough and she’s in Quincy. But, I’d like to reiterate, one last time, the awesomeness that is Dr. Laura Cloukey(Judy, you also rock, FYI). If you’re sick and feel like you need attention asap, they’ll work you in. She’ll prescribe drugs when you need them, but won’t load you up on antibiotics or whatever for no good reason. She’ll lecture you appropriately when you’ve behaved badly, but no so much that you feel like a child. And she LISTENS. She understands that you understand your own body, sometimes better than she does(but not always). I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Cloukey and suggest anyone looking for a primary care go see her(and ladies, she can do your paps, etc, so you don’t need a separate OBGYN if you don’t want one) regardless of your age or gender… she’s hands down, so far, the best doc I’ve ever been too, and I will miss her. Additional Update 8÷22÷08: No dudes. I broke up with her today(so sad, but the commutes a bitch) and told her I made a few referrals and found out she stopped accepting male patients years ago. I had no idea, but now that I think of it, I don’t ever remember seeing a male in the office. Anyway. she’s still awesome as everything. but chicks only.
