It’s the night of the 25th as I write this. so i guess they’re may be under-staffed or they are just too tired from christmas eve or something. Went to dine with my mom and siblings. We have no clue if we have to wait for someone to seat us or just find our own table. We did the latter and waited. After sometime, this lovely lady approached us and apologized and thanked us for being so patient. We ordered and got our food real quick! I order the pan seared atlantic salmon. Everything is great except for the garlic rice that came with it. Seems like i got the last bits of ricer. It was hard and feels like it was scraped from the bottom of the cooker. Just did not bother to complain about it because the server just looks so tired. Oh and poor lady. She’s back and forth with a big group who were drinking.

Aight, here’s the run down. If you’re an establishment that offers«All You Can Eat», you can bet, that I will look for you; I will find you; and I will eat at your place. K. Anyways, I found about this place through word of mouth, and I couldn’t believe it. $ 18.95 for AYCE prime rib? Was the meat fake? Or? Not only did we find that the meat wasn’t fake, lul, but it exceeded my expectation. The first slice I got was cooked perfectly. In conjunction to the side fixings they offered, some horseradish sauce and potatoe, I was happy with one slice. But to hell with that, we kept ordering and ordering. To the modern day poet and music genius, DJ Khaled would say, «Another one.» It got to the point where we were on the fourth round, and barely could eat a slice, but to our surprise, we were able to get it to go! All in all, this place has pretty much all the bare essentials when you’re walking into a food establishment: free parking, great service, and eat-as-much-as-you want steak. My experience here was nothing short of positive, and I highly recommend it. TL;DR: «Another one.» –DJ Khaled

All you can eat prime rib? Are you kidding me? I mean — it’s only $ 18.95 so it can’t be very good right? I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the meal exceeded all of my expectations. Hancock’s Steak & Seafood is located inside the Quincy Marriot hotel. The AYCE deal is only available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Getting there on a Friday evening can be an exercise in road rage suppression, but the meal is totally worth it. If you come here on a Friday or Saturday evening, there’s really no reason to get anything else. The meal starts off with a salad. I’m not usually a fan of salads, but I figured if I’m going to consume massive amounts of meat, I might as well put some fiber in my system. I was surprised to find out then that the meal also came with two sides. What!?! Surely it must be a ploy to keep you from eating the prime rib. Then the prime rib comes — and it’s a thing of beauty. I ordered it rare and it was cooked perfectly to order. It wasn’t the best prime rib I’ve ever had, but it was still pretty darn good. The meat did feel like it could have been flavored a bit more, but that’s nothing a bit of au jous and horseradish can’t fix. The first cut was about 16 oz. After polishing it off, I didn’t even have to flag down our waitress to tell her I wanted a second piece. She asked me once she saw that my plate was empty. Now that’s good service and it showed that they certainly weren’t afraid of people eating more. The second slice came to about 10 oz and by the time I finished, I was getting pretty full. I thought that maybe I could have half a slice more. When our waitress came by again, she asked if I wanted another slice. I asked her if I could have half a slice and she said, «No, but you can take the other half home!» What!!! My jaw practically hit the ground. An AYCE place that even lets you take what you don’t finish home? This was too good to be true, and yet it was so. All in all, a great experience — great service, great food, and even leftovers for the next meal. All for an amazingly low price. This is a place that I’ll be back at — with many of my hungry friends.

I like Prime Rib here because of a special deal. You better make reservation first before you come and order food right away. If not, you wait for 45 minute to 1hr for a prime rib.

Fri & Sat — good prime rib deal for decent price. We ordered clam chowder, tater tots, lobster & mussel dinner, & prime ribs. All pretty good. My friends got married at the Marriott and never thought to check out the restaurants. Kid Friendly and the service was good.

It’s been an event I’ve wanted to try for the longest time but have never gotten around to it. Lots of my friends have wanted to go too, but didn’t have anyone to organize friends together. So, I finally decided to do it: plan a prime rib all-you-can-eat on a Saturday evening with my friends. 14 of them this time. My heart and stomach hated me the moment I made reservations. The restaurant wasn’t packed but there were some people dining. The wait staff put us in a long table right in the middle of the restaurant. Here are some of the basics for AYCE: 1. Friday and Saturday evenings only(6 – 9:30) 2. $ 19(as of this writing) 3. Salad, rolls, potato, vegetable(usually asparagus and you can double up veg if you don’t want to carb yourself) and they’re not AYCE 4. Prime rib comes in 14 – 16 oz cuts, maybe about just less than an inch thick 5. The current record is 5 prime rib cuts in one sitting 6. You can bring an unfinished cut home Service was really good, especially considering we were a large group. The head server was rather friendly and accommodating. The value for AYCE is apparent. $ 19 won’t get you even one prime rib at some spots. However, the quality is also good here as well. The jus is full of savory flavor and the prime rib was flavorful as well. Sometimes prime rib is so bland, even though it’s tender. Oh and yeah, it’s tender here too. There can be a copious amount of fat on each cut, so approach accordingly. The only reason why I put this just short of a 5 is because the first cut I received was not nearly as good as the second. I would’ve preferred the reverse. Come here early if you have a large group. It takes them a while to get prime ribs out for a large group and if someone wants to try to be Adam Richmond a la Man v. Food, he/she needs enough time to eat 5+ steaks or else the places closes on said challenger.

My husband and I went to check this place out last night. Even after informing our server of my allergy to wheat for some odd reason my steak which was sauce-less on the gluten free menu had this thick brown sauce… the server insisted that it was wheat free but my very swollen face says otherwise… Thanks for ruining my weekend, Hancock’s.

$ 18.95 is a terrific price for a good prime rib. But for all you can eat prime rib? It is off the wall fantastic! But then for that price you’d suspect that maybe you’d only get okay quality stuff. Well, at Hancock’s Steak & Seafood located in the Quincy Marriott a short drive up a hill by exit 18, the prime rib you get is good stuff, tender and smooth. Your first steak comes accompanied by a baked potato and a generous handful of crisp-tender asparagus. Available on Friday & Saturday evenings from 6pm — 9:30pm for $ 18.95 per person, their AYCE prime rib special is preceded by their courtesy rolls with butter, and a garden salad. Sour cream and a bowl of horseradish was set at the table for us to use as we will. I recommend mixing them together to enjoy with the beef. Once I finally managed to finish off the first piece, the 2nd slice was found to be just as generous as the first! So yes, it did me in. So into the take-out container it went to be a meal for another day. Service was fine, though just a tad hesitant as our server had revealed to us that she was relatively new to the staff. We made reservations as recommended by other Unilocalers, but the dining room did not fill up till a bit later that evening. Parking was available both by the banquet hall, and higher up, a short walk from the main entrance. Pick up a ticket for the unmanned gate to lift to allow your entrance, and the first 3 hours are free. It is $ 7 after. *** Props for the meat quality came from the family the day after when it was cubed and cooked up with some broccoli and the leftover asparagus. Yum.

In fairness, I tried this restaurant for the second time. Both times I was less than impressed. The food is just not what I expect from a Marriott property. Lots of fried food. The seafood selections are very limited. They claim the clam chowder be better than Legal Seafood. NOT. I feel that this Marriott may be feeling they have a captive customer base due to the somewhat remote property location on top of the hill. Big disappointment.

Gulf Coast Shrimp are excellent! Service leaves a lot to be desired. Very slow when they have large groups. Very noisy which ruins dinner if you are next to loud group. Better not to sit near kitchen runway to bar. Center of restaurant quieter. Steaks are above average.

After trying and failing to get something delivered to the hotel, it was finally late enough that the restaurant was open so I ventured down to the lobby to see what my options were. The lounge was full of people, but I just wanted a quiet meal outside of the bustle. I waited for a hostess for a bit, but none came. Two of the kitchen staff came out and I asked them what the deal was. They went and got a server to seat me, and I looked at the menu. I ordered the clam chowder and the home made chips to start, and the shepherd’s pie for my entrée. The chowder was excellent. Thick and creamy, and good chunks of potato and clam. The chips were crunchy and tasty, and the dip that came with them wasn’t bad. Then my main course came out, and it looked great! The melted cheddar had oiled up a bit, but it was lovely. The whole thing was great. And the prices for what I ordered were pretty reasonable. The server looked at me a little funny when I asked for hot sauce, but that’s to be expected in New England. All in all, not a bad meal at not a bad price, in a generally decent hotel.

Dined at this restaurant this past weekend during my stay back in my hometown of Quincy. Let me start off by saying, two items that are a MUSTORDER are 1. the clam chowder and 2. the espresso martini *not necessarily in that order:) both items are five star and they really will WOW! I’ve had a lot of New England Clam Chowder and espresso martini’s. to impress me is to really know your stuff. The menu has great selections, and I really enjoyed my caeser salad. I was actually pleasantly surprised how good the food was. wasn’t expecting much. My boyfriend and I, both ordered the beef tenderloin with parnsips. What a lovely meal. I truly enjoyed mine. for $ 31 you kind of hope you do, right? On the other hand, my boyfriend ordered his beef«medium». Orginally he said medium rare and then said medium. what he got was well done and very overcooked.. He was truly disappointed. there was no way a chef should have let the beef leave the kitchen like that. knowing it was requested medium. All and all. I’d give It another shot. Just was disappointed, when you order the hot ticket item like the $ 31 tenderloin– that is what counts, a slip can ruin the whole dining experience.

I must say, my second visit to Hancock’s was far superior to my first, and I now chalk up earlier deficiencies to some simultaneous anomaly with chef and waitstaff. My breakfast eggs were perfectly prepared, the fruit cup fresh and sweet; her french toast ‘brioche’ was among the best I’d ever tried. The service on this second visit was also superb, as M. essentially waited on us as a personal butler attached to our table. Very nice, so nice in fact that I’d contemplate returning on the service alone. Though this reviewer’s now visited Hancock’s on two occasions, both have been for brunch dining. Look forward to sampling their supper and evening offerings. NOTABENE: This is the second breakfast review of Hancock’s, of which the first was quite poor. Why would any reviewer repatronize an establishment which earned such a low rating on an initial visit, you might ask? My answer to this very natural question will provide 1⁄3 of the reasoning behind the four star rating you now see and speaks quite highly of the managerial diplomacy of that Hancock’s proprietress J.(if we’ve not got anonymity, what have we got). On submitting my earlier review I was contacted by J. who seemed quite concerned that my first exposure to the restaurant had been anything less than superlative, and after some correspondence I was offered a complimentary breakfast for two in an effort to renew my sentiments.

We came for a family party and had an ok time. Not great though. The service was a little abrupt and the food was just ok. I had the prime rib and it came way overdone(I ordered medium rare and got medium well). The server seemed a little annoyed when I asked her for another, rarer one. Her response was, «Well, they sort of come like that.» That is not really what I was expecting. The desserts we ordered were all very average and uninspired. The crème brûlée was like a Jell-o pudding box mix, rather than a fresh custard. The cake seemed like a defrosted nothing special. I guess it is fine if you are staying at the hotel as there is nothing else within walking distance, but if you have choice, Quincy offers many more places with much better food.

The Tasty and Filling Friday and Saturday Night Special Are you really hungry for some excellent portions of tasty beef for dinner? Are you willing to spend a Friday or a Saturday night to enjoy this dinner? Do you also have about $ 20+ cash in your pocket? Are you also willing to eat in a hotel restaurant in Quincy to enjoy this dinner? If you said yes, this place will have your answer. This place’s special deal is probably one of the best kept secrets in Quincy. Well, it’s actually not much of a secret, since my friends told me and some other people about this place, and the hotel advertises this special deal in the lobby. Located inside a 3-Star Marriott Hotel in Quincy, this place offers this $ 19 special on Friday and Saturday nights where you can eat as many beef prime rib slices you want. Beef prime rib, also known as standing rib roast, is a cut of beef from the primal rib of the cow. You can just go inside the restaurant, and ask the server that you want the«All You Can Eat Prime Rib Special». Be sure to come to this place fairly hungry, because you are going to get some excellent portions of food once you order the special. When you get the prime rib, they are going to give you a really big slice. The slice is so big that you may not want to order a second or a third slice. It is probably less than 25 cm in length but almost 5 cm in thickness using really rough estimates. I cut a good sized piece from my prime rib, slowly placed it in my mouth, and began to chew. The beef was really juicy, tender, delicious with wonderful flavor. It was even tastier with a little horseradish as a condiment. They also come with good portions of baked potato and some asparagus. The baked potato was tasty, especially with the sour cream and the juice from the prime rib. The asparagus actually tasted good and I did not taste any blandness. Another dish they add to this special is a salad, so they also make sure you get a good dosage of vegetables before eating a big slab of meat. Salad portions are pretty good, it’s big enough for a light lunch. So, a bread roll with some butter, one salad from this place, a baked potato, a few pieces of asparagus, one big slice of prime rib, and one smaller slice of prime rib should be more than enough to feed a big hungry person. Location is kind of distant, the hotel is actually located on top of a hill. You may need a car to reach this place, otherwise you could get a great exercise routine just by walking to this place. The servers there were really friendly and nice. They actually let you take leftovers home, unlike a lot of «all you can eat» places, so you can consume your food smartly at this place and you can have a tasty and great lunch tomorrow if you have access to a refrigerator and a microwave. I think this is a great convenience that every«all you can eat» place should be able to offer to its customers. Overall, if you somehow ended up in Quincy on an early Friday or Saturday evening and you really want some excellent portions of Beef Prime Rib, this is actually a good choice. I am usually not too impressed with hotel restaurants, but this place shows that a hotel restaurant can do some really great things. I hope that other hotel restaurants can follow what this restaurant can do.

Thanks to a gift certificate, my wife & I came out here on a random Tuesday evening. I’m pretty sure that had a lot to do with the swift and friendly service. We were attended to almost immediately as we sat; not another guest came into the restaurant until almost the end of our meal. I have no complaints. The food was slightly upgraded from typical hotel restaurants, but not overly fancy. Food was cooked well, served promptly, and cleared away quickly. I’m not likely to return as it wasn’t anything special, but I don’t regret ordering this gift certificate or coming here.

Tried this place using a coupon and so glad I did. Great wine list — they even sell the ½ bottles and in the end we ended up getting another ½ bottle b/c we enjoyed our time there and our meals. They started us off with warm bread — various kinds. We ordered calamari for an appetizer — that was good. My entrée was short ribs with sweet pea risotto. It was excellent and my niece got scallops with some soft corn purée — again, all very tasty. No desserts b/c we were full. Check out my pictures I attached. No bar area in this restaurant, but we had a table that was a half circle, which I like. The downside to this restaurant is 1. they don’t have a bar area and 2. they don’t open until 6:00pm. There were several people waiting to get inside so once they opened about 15 people filed in. This restaurant is in the Marriott and they have Kilroys bar/restaurant(I think it’s called Kilroys) right next to Hancocks so you can have drink there first, but what restaurant opens at 6:00…kind of weird to me. Another downside was I had to pay to park. The first 3 hours were free but like I said, my niece and I were having a great time, talking, drinking and lingering over our meals so 3 hours came and went and it cost me $ 5 to get out of the parking lot. I did purchase another coupon so I can bring my better half here to try this restaurant, so the 2 downsides of opening later and parking, is not a deal breaker for me.
