Went there with a beautiful girl. Ate awesome sushi. Service is top notch. My new favorite sushi place

Not a sushi expert but I love their sushi. And they deliver to Adams Corner, Dorchester. Took about an hour which didn’t seem too bad to me, especially since many places won’t deliver that far.

Some of these reviews, in particular the negative ones, are about the Fuji in Quincy Square, not this one, which is in Wollaston across from Dunkin Donuts and Friendly’s. The two restaurants do not have the same owners. This Fuji has a warm atmosphere, fresh delicious food, and an excellent, friendly staff. We go here often for eat in and take out and consider it our favorite spot.

Sushi is fantastic here and very inexpensive! I would recommend the rainbow maki, it’s my personal favorite. Also, all of the lunch specials will leave you really full without emptying your wallet! My boyfriend, who doesn’t like sushi, also enjoys Fuji, for lunch he usually gets the bento box(which is huge) and for dinner teriyaki chicken. Definitely a place to try if you haven’t yet! One downside is that it’s very small, so you might need to wait in line for table.

The food is fresh, diverse, and incredibly delicious!!! Service is wonderful as well. Cannot say enough good things about this place. For a price like this, Fuji is 100% a place you have to go if you’re ever in the area(tbh even if you’re not in the area you should go).

Fuji has some pretty good sushi options. You can scroll down and reference my previous review. During this visit, I wasn’t craving sushi so I decided to try their cooked food. Figured I’d eat healthy and ordered the Sukiyaki. The wide pot was filled generously with glass noodles, beef, napa, and mushrooms. However, this tasted nothing like Sukiyaki. The broth was salty and made me real thirsty. Going to have to remove a star from my previous review.

Relatively small but decent prices. Sometimes it can be tricky to get a table during rush hours since space is limited and parking is limited to street parking. The food here is delicious though. I ordered the Patriots and volcano roll and had no complaints everything tasted fresh

The Bento Box lunch special is the best meal you can get for your money in Quincy. The Salmon Bento Box was served with Soup, Salad, California Roll, Vegetable Tempura, Gyoza, and Shumai for $ 7.95. The salmon was grilled to perfection and the meal was great overall. You can choose a different meat as well or vegetable if you don’t prefer salmon. Also the Ebi Yaki(Shrimp baked with spicy mayo) is a must order App. The sushi overall is very good — we always get the Caterpillar Maki and the Mango Shrimp Maki and it is always fresh and delicious. We will definitely be going back soon.

I always go with the bento box and it’s incredible. I change up the meat and always get double vegetables. Good atmosphere, great staff and incredible food — highly recommend it

Been here a bunch of times in the last few years. Friendly bartenders, good service at tables too, big menu with lots of delicious and creative apps, salads and sushi. Tried probably 15 things off the menu and everything is always fresh and delicious. The place needs a facelift. They have such a great space with high ceilings, I would do something more intriguing with that dining room, dim the lights and make it more intimate.

Checked in to the Fuji Restaurant with a colleague for lunch. We went with the Bento box which was priced decently for 7.95 $. I was trying Sushi for the first time. I rarely go for sushi as i am not a big fan but this time i definitely wanted to re-visit and the bento box comes with basic sushi which was decent, the sauce and wasabi was not on par otherwise it would have been a perfect kick. The rest of the items were good. I got Chicken teriyaki with rice, some deep fried assorted varieties. And i forgot to mention the salad which was the best item in the lunch-box. I couldn’t figure out the dressing they used for salad but it was really good. On a whole definitely worth it for the price. I am yet to try other items on their menu.

Pretty decent a place given the size. My maiden visit to Fuji was quite satisfying. Went in the other day for lunch with a coworker. Feel especially good about the fact that Quincy has so many options to choose from, for some really decent, if not mind blowing sushi. Put Fuji in that bracket as well. Here are my takeaways: Ambiance: 2.75 /5 That wasn’t intentional to start with the not so great part. Probably is the only aspect which makes this place a much more down to earth or take out option. It is quite tiny. About 7 tables — with maybe a max seating capacity of 20. There was a steady flow of patrons during the lunch hour. The interiors are very low key, minimalist and rightly so, quite understated. Expect to hear everything what is being said and discussed at the table next to you Food: 3.75 /5 The good news is(hopefully — at least in our case), what you hear from the table next to you is all about the food. The understated and down to earth décor of the interiors is a surprising contrast to what you get served with. Every piece of food in our very flashy bento box lunch special was fresh and tasted quite good. Especially the dumplings and gyozas and fried veggies in one corner — they were really well prepared. The beef teriyaki in my case was strictly OK, and so were the pieces of California roll. And really tough to mess with the miso soup. Service: 5⁄5 Two very hard working waitresses were running the show quite well. A constant smile on their faces, they were always around checking on everyone very diligently. The small space can be a big plus or minus for the staff when the place is full. Everyone was happy with the efficiency with which the place is being managed. Overall: 3.83 /5 In essence, a good option for take out or maybe even sit down sushi given the wide variety of options one has at disposal in Quincy(aka the new China /Japan /Viet Town), thanks to their very extensive menu and some really good specials. I will be most tempted to try their makimono specials next time. The different kinds of rolls with the combination of ingredients — how can one not give em another try? I sure will. Only will have to pick a time and a day when one would hope the space is not packed. It’s a gamble of sorts. But as they say — where there is a will, there is a way. Thanks guys!

My husband and I live within a mile from here and come for dinner at least once a month. The place is very small but service is quick and tables turn over fast enough that you rarely have to wait more than 10 – 15 minutes. We love this place for two reasons — #1 we only come for sushi and the fish is very fresh every time, #2 the prices are very reasonable and we have to try to spend more than $ 60 every time including food/drinks/tax/tip. We get the sashimi app every time we come — it’s $ 8 and you get double that value in portion, and the fish is always great quality. Last night, we got two of them! They also have great specials for sushi rolls. Not sure why some people are knocking the service — this is a small restaurant and it is their job to turn over tables quickly so that they can run their business, albeit at very fair prices to their customers. The waitstaff are very attentive and while they do ask for you order very soon after you sit down, I’ve never felt rushed to get up and leave once my meal is complete. After you come in a couple of times, they get to know you and will chat with you a bit as well. Neighborhood gem — so glad we have it!!!

Cute small restaurant across from Dunkin Donuts, Food is pretty good a 4 out of 5 ratings. My husband is on his way to do take out right now! I minus 1 star is because the way they pick up the phone or talk to me. Typical RUDE Chinese restaurants shouting at me its like they try to talk nice but can’t handle the niceness and starts to talk with attitude. I’m not sure why lots of Chinese establishments hire people like that I felt like I’m bothering them.

Pretty good and reasonable price sushi. I come here once in a while, since I am not a big fan of sushi. However, my hubby is always dying for this place. Their Japanese pizza(I don’t remember exactly what it’s call but it’s has imitation crab meat) is so good… Their sushi are great, reasonable price. The place is a little bit small.

This place has 1 good thing going for it: super cheap. If you have $ 5 and you haven’t eaten in a week, this is the place to go. Not one single thing tasted good. Not the agedashi tofu, not the spring rolls, not any of the sushi, not the tempura.

My 1-star rating is NOT for their food but for their business practice, if you will. Sadly, I will never visit Fuji again as I felt that their gratuity system is deceptive. I feel bad because I loved Fuji. The food is amazing. The staff a very average ok. But I really don’t care that they’re totally ‘dry’ and not friendly. I am there to eat and leave. My problem was the 18% mandatory gratuity! Really?! You’re forcing me to tip you 18%? Lol. I don’t care what the reason is or if other businesses do that. A tip is a ‘gift’ to the water for a job well done. That’s its sole purpose. When you force me to ‘gift’ you a tip(and 18% no less!!), it really goes the wrong way with the patron! And there is no indication anywhere of their gratuity practice beforehand so you can decide to stay or leave. And that is deceptive. And that’s why I will never visit Fuji again, and will tell my friends about this as well. So… Their Food = a good 4 out of 5. Good quality. Their sushi is amazing too. Business Practice = a BIGZERO.

Nice cozy restaurant in Wollaston area. We went kinda late so there was ample street parking. Even though it was late the restaurant was full which is always a good sign. Hubby and I only ordered appetizers and sushi. The Hokkai yaki is very good. We ended up ordering 2 additional orders after finishing up the first one. We also ordered the grilled octopus(only OK), negimaki(so-so, kinda on the tough side — we won’t get again), spicy tuna roll, a Philadelphia roll, fancy roll, and red and white roll. The sushi was good, better than koi and the other Fuji down the street, but not as good as Beni’s. The service was good. The waitresses came often to see how we were doing and whether we needed anything. Overall a good experience. Next time we will have to try their entrees when we go back for the Hokkai yaki.
