History

Established in 1945.

Curry Ace Hardware is a family owned retail business that’s been supporting its local community for over 60 years. The business began in 1945 when Paul A. Curry opened Classic Hardware stocking house wares, sporting goods, paint and tools. The store burnt to the ground in the early 60’s and the current Quincy store was built in 1964. The second location in Braintree was opened in 1986 and we look forward to continued expansions in the South Shore with our most recent opening in Hanover. We continue to embrace our differences from the megastores by maintaining the kind of everybody-​knows-​your-​name environment that has long been the reputation of local hardware stores.
