The food here tasted pretty good but the wait was ridiculous. My friend and I waited almost half an hour for our food and by the time we were going to pay, they took all of the cash and didn’t give us back any change. Granted we didn’t lose much besides a few dollars but I even asked for my change but they either forgot or completely ignored me. Either way the service was not very good even if the food was.

Five stars for the food. We’ve been going many times and we’ve been happy with the food. A couple of times for take out, a handfull of times for dine in. There’s really no complaints about the food itself and the service is friendly too. I do like it here a lot. The issue I have with this restaurant is the family menu. The first time we tried it, it was a weekday and we ordered the family meal. Great. No issues. Second time, we came on a Saturday and asked for the family menu and they said they don’t offer it on weekends. Alright fine. We’re seated anyway, there’s no where to go. So we will order. Food is good. No complaints again about food. Just want to make that clear. Now, the third attempt to order from the family menu was Friday evening. Omg! They said no again! Because«Friday is weekend too!» Look at the menu. It doesn’t even say anything about days or times offered. Twice, I felt like I’ve been baited and switched. Anyway! Just thought you guys should know but food is good nonetheless. I’m just annoyed about not being able to order what I intended to order and feel forced to order from the more expensive part of the menu.

I’m so glad this place opened in Fresh Meadows. Up until recently, we only have the option of going to Red House(another wonderful place) or Mian(eh…) for Chinese. We now alternate this place with Red House whenever we don’t have time to cook. Their Peking pork chop is really good, so is their beef ho fun, and anything else really. They have a decent selection of noodles and rice, as well as congee which is a plus. The place is new and clean and service is always good. From the outside it doesn’t seem like much but it’s really a gem.

This is new real Chinese restaurant open up early 2016. I order from them quit few time, eat in and also takeout. Most of their food are good. food quality are good, very fresh. I like their Fry pork chop. and Oysters. Only problem with pork chop is sometime I get a lots of meat. sometime is mostly bone. they should work on their consistency.

Immaculate modern space. Lovely waitresses. Been there three times in two weeks. Delicious well-prepared food. Pork Chops, Salt and Pepper Squid, Salt and Pepper Eggplant, Panfried Noodles w Seafood, Ultra-Fresh Vegetable Dishes. Phone didn’t stop ringing for deliveries and called-in orders for pick-up. I’m looking forward to returning to try more dishes. Excellent.

I had the sweet and sour pork which was okay. Good portion and price was cheap. My wife had the beef noodle soup and she barely touched it cause she said it didn’t taste good. I tried the meatball and it was your generic meatball from the supermarket. Then had a taste of the soup and it had a weird soapy taste to it. Had to rinse my mouth with tea after. Don’t get the noodle soup. Overall mediocre taste but the service was good because of the waitress.

Traditional Cantonese Food close by not requiring you to go down into Flushing, or Chinatown. Been here a few times already by referral from a friend. Enjoyed the food and service compared to most other Chinese restaurants in Flushing and outskirts of Flushing. Came back to try the Family Meal(Menu) which is only available during the weekdays. For $ 28.95 you get to choose three entrees from the Family Meal Menu each comes with Rice and Soup. The soup options offered were Tofu or Hot and Sour Soup. We tried both. You can get an additional entrée or rice at an additional charge of course. We tried the following entrees from the Family Meal Menu: #13 Beef Stew w. Radish(Loved this dish — to die for — this is just like how your Cantonese mom would make it) The gravy was awesome over the rice and the meat was super tender. #42 Salt and Pepper Squid — this was devoured and there was nothing left of this dish. The squid was tender and crispy. #34 Ribs w. Chinese Vegetables — this was good too, but we got it because we wanted the Chinese Vegetables which were delicious and crunchy. The pork ribs were chopped into 1″ sections and were tender and tasty. The service was excellent, but I think there is a different quality which is more personable if you speak Cantonese or Mandarin. Even if you didn’t the service is excellent all the same, it’s just the language brings it to a higher level. The wait staff or owner are very attentive. They are there periodically to make sure everything is good with you. That there is tea or water and if refills are needed they take care of that promptly. This is not a take out place style nor atmosphere. They offer take out orders but you are not getting what you would expect from the run of the mill Chinese Take Out place. What I noticed was that the owner gets to know you. Every time we came back she would greet us personally. She would come by the table to check if everything was good. I have to say that the décor was nice. Can be considered casual and maybe also hipster. There are two flat panel tv’s on both walls so if they happen to have the game on you won’t miss it. Other thing to know about this establishment. The restaurant is new and is kept very clean. They have a website They have a shared free parking lot behind the restaurant. $ 15 minimum for deliveries. Open 7 days a week from 11am-10pm. They accept all major credit cards. We’ll be back again to try their other dishes.

Look out Fresh Meadows, Chinatown has come to town! Forget all the Chinese-American fast food takeout joints because this is the real Cantonese deal. I don’t have to truck all the way to Main Street Flushing to get my congee, wonton noodle and over rice fix anymore. I can get those and banquet style meals all in one place now. This is a great modern looking sit down place with mixed tables and bench seating for families and groups. The staff here are very nice and often when I come in for my takeout order, they’ll serve me a cup of tea while I’m waiting. This is an example of hospitality that is missing from many restaurants these days. For lunch, you can get a variety of individual rice plates to eat in as well as to go. One of my go-to’s is sliced beef in egg sauce, a classic Chinatown favorite from my childhood. Don’t want to cook dinner on a weekday night? Order their triple meal deal for $ 28.95, M-Th. You choose 3 dishes from a large selection and it comes with a quart of soup and big box of rice if you’re getting it to go or 3 bowls of each if you’re eating in. We’ve had this twice, both for eat-in and for takeout and include many of the standard Cantonese dishes such as Salt & Pepper Squid, Pork Ribs w/Black Bean Sauce, Beef & Bitter Melon & Peking Pork Chops. An everyday menu item I go for every time are the steamed fresh oysters. Big & juicy, you can order with black bean or XO sauce. For holidays, they offer special prix-fixe banquet style menus chock full of seafood dishes.

Great place for traditional cantonese food without trekking out to flushing. I only order for pickup and the wait time is long. I don’t mind since they do warn us about this– I just order 45 mins before our dinner time. Steamed oysters as everyone here pointed out are banging(love the xo sauce version). Cannot rate the service. But I assume it is more fustrating since you are waiting forever for your dishes.

This is my third time here so far, and they just keep on making you want to come back. Me and Rob decided to give this place a try because we saw that it was new and the name of the restaurant was interesting nonetheless. The staff were all very helpful and nice, just like how a good restaurant should be like. The food was great, VERY authentic, home-styled cooking! So far I have tried many of their dishes and even plan to make a little food vlog about it on my blog, but I love everything I tried. My only complaint would be for the Ho Fun Beef Stew Noodles in which tastes a bit plain. But there’s nothing hot sauce can’t fix. I think this place is has good potential so far, and I hope they continue to keep it up.

Came here Friday before Mother’s Day! IT’s in our neighborhood & banners outside to announce the new establishment, we passed by several times & saw that there were many local enjoying the supposed ‘authentic cantonese style cuisine. we ordered the dumplings, oyster pancakes, sizzling beef, spicy shrimp, & salt & pepper chicken. authentic porridge like dessert– interesting like smushed sweet bean flavor, just not my thing. My only complaint with the food was the shrimp was not spicy enough even though I did request for them to turn up the heat. The staff was also not very attentive re: our water or our request for silverware or other items. There were not many customers when we arrived, but it was packed & with a wait by the time we left. Interesting fact is that the these owners are the same as the Hibachi place down the block. I wish I had not know that as the other place is poor quality & hope this new place stays on it’s game.

I ordered broccoli with fresh garlic and it was amazing. The young lady at the front desk is super sweet. Customer service is everything. While I was ordering she let me know about all the specials and we joked about me being a being a vegetarian. The place itself was also very nice for a lunch or dinner date with a new friend.

DONOTCOMEHERE. I came with my mom and dad on mothers day and we ordered a few dishes when the waitress came to take our order i pointed out a picture on the menu and said i was interested in this. she claims that it was an american lo mien and that it was very bad??? at this point i was really confused. as someone who has worked as a waitress i would expect someone who works in a restaurant to try and sell the food and say good things about it. i know that not everything on the menu will have a picture but the ones that are provided with a picture i would expect to be special or their best seller. anyways a 20 minute wait and we got our jumbo shrimp with walnuts. in my opinion it needed more of that mayo sauce. it looked it they just tickled the shrimp with the sauce. my mom complained that they should turn down the AC since it was going to blow our food cold. half way through the shrimp we got our bowls of complementary rice. another 20 minute wait we got our salted fish&chicken with bean curd casserole. my dad complained that there was very little fish and no taste of the fish. keep in mind by that time our rice and tea were already cold. nothing much to say about the fried rice or fried tofu but their special fish dish took an hour to come out. my parents were just gonna cancel it but they didnt let us. but the fried calamari wasnt what i expected it to be. i believe it was the way they fried it. the service wasnt the best either considering food was brought to our table twice that wasnt ours and a dish that was ours was brought to another table. when we asked for take out the take out boxes and lids were all wrong and mixed up. the boss had to go 2 – 3 times going back and forth into the kitchen to get is correct lids. the wait for food was way too long. people who came in after us had gotten their food before we even did honestly, this resturant has shown me to be incapable to serve their customers properly and i do not reccomend it.

It’s so awesome that a Cantonese restaurant has opened up in Fresh Meadows — I really hope that this place continues to do well and offer more fresh seafood options on their menu soon. I came here on a Sunday for lunch and it was pretty quiet at first, but there were a steady stream of to-go orders and tables slowly started to fill up. The food is actually pretty tasty — not as authentic as the Cantonese fare in Flushing, but it is a step up from regular take-out Chinese food. I ordered the Peking Pork Chops, based on a recommendation from a family friend, and it was really good! My husband got the General Tso’s Chicken, which you can’t go wrong with. And we also ordered the Szechuan/dried fried string beans — this was pretty disappointing. It had none of the crispness, spice, or umami of real dried fried string beans, it was more like what I could make at home without the requisite«wok hei» to give it that extra tastiness. In any case, I’m really glad that this place opened up near my parent’s house. No more fighting horrendous traffic and paying obscene amounts of money for parking in Flushing! I’m really rooting for this place to get one of those traditional fish tanks with the fresh dungeness crab, lobster, and sea bass!

GRANDOPENINGCANTONESE /CHINESE STYLE Food. Place is new, MODERN look, Comfy, classic style. Service is friendly and sometimes can be slow since there’s 1 – 2 staff that serving 20 tables. Lunch Special is awesome!($ 6.95) for a Entrée with Rice(Or fried rice) and a choice of Soup Over 30 Selections to choose from. My fave one is salt and pepper Pork Chop over rice. Also the Beef over Peking sauce and Onions over rice. They also serve a Selection of LO Mein with the choise of meat you pick(For $ 8.25) and a Soup. Will definitely come back again.

OK, the name is absolutely horrendous. I mean seriously, why why why would you pick a name like this? The Chinese translation was far better(Chopstick Brothers) but whatever, its about the food right?(The name was almost dumb enough for me not to try). Service is hit and miss as they don’t have a lot of staff on hand and to top it off, the waitress seemed to have difficulty understanding both English and Chinese. Restaurant is small and clean but large enough to fill small groups. Food however, was pretty darn good. Focused Cantonese menu had a lot to choose from and we were not disappointed. Soy sauce pan fried noodles were perfect as well as the fish with snow peas. Peking pork chops on neighboring tables looked great. This place is a pretty good option for Cantonese fare for those who don’t want to go into Flushing.

Solid cantonese food, comparable to chinatown and flushing. Décor is nice; modern and new. They have a amazing family deal for 3 dishes for $ 28 with rice and soup. Very good portions, not too big or too small. I loved the hot and sour soup that came with the meal. I really enjoyed their peking pork chop. We ordered the orange chicken, peking pork chop, and fish with chinese vegetables. All had very good flavors and is very authentic. Too bad its pretty far from us, otherwise we would come here more often!

Cuisine: 8 Service: 5 Décor: 6 Value: 7 Overall: 7 New Cantonese restaurant that serves the typical stuff. However, unlike the large restaurants, they don’t have live seafood tanks or dim sum during the days. I guess it makes sense for the neighborhood, where the clientele is a mix of locals, and us. On this Friday night, only live seafood they had was lobsters, which was $ 26 each. Good for white people prices(no offense), but a bit higher than most Chinese restaurants around Flushing. Yet at the same time, their $ 4 Pacific Oysters are a great bargain. Another great deal was the $ 5 Salt & Pepper Calamari. We also ordered some Peking Style Pork Chops, Snow Pea Leaves, Fried Pork Intestines, Fish & Tofu Casserole, Hot & Sour Soup, Salted Fish & Chicken Fried Rice, and Thousand Year Egg w/Pork Congee. Everything was quite good except the fried rice and the soup, which were both too bland. We were there early and served somewhat quickly. However, latecomers had to wait quite some time for the food to arrive. As we were leaving the restaurant, at least ½ of the tables had no food on their tables. We noticed a few upset faces as food passed by them, wishing it was something they had ordered. If you wanna avoid this potential situation, go early rather than late. For me, I think the fact that they are outside of Flushing is a positive. Along with great food, less traffic and easy parking keeps this place on my radar. Unfortunately, I really wish they have more live seafood options like fish, shrimp and king crab. Then it would vault to the top echelon of my Cantonese restaurants.
