Milkshakes — pretty good, a little too sweet though Burgers — just ok Fries — great Honestly, I would go there for fries again but their burgers are not that good. I like the fact that they’re not greasy and the meat is well done but it did not taste better than an average burger. By the way, the portions of fries are huge! It’s enough for 2 people.

I was in the mood for some grease. Guess I was down a quart. That’s the only reason I sometimes hit a five guys restaurant. Their food is just so well lubricated.

Best burgers. Best fast food restaurant, with friendly staff. I live in Brazil, but came back to visit NY and everyone told me I had to eat here. As soon as you walk in the door the aroma makes your mouth water. The food itself doesn’t disappoint. Obviously, the place is known for it’s burgers, and rightly so. I loved the burgers so much, that I ate here 3 times in 2 weeks. They have so many toppings to choose from that I can’t even remember all of them. But the good stuff doesn’t stop there. The french fries are the best! They actually have a sign indicating where the potatoes they’re serving are from, which is a nice touch. Caveat – order the SMALL fries, because the«small» fries are more fries than I could consume. Not only is the quantity amazing, so is the taste. I had a shake too, which was also transcendental – really one of the best shakes I have ever had. They have hot dogs on the menu, but I have to admit, after eating one, it was a disappointment, but probably because the burgers are so great.

I was so happy with how fast and effective the service is, from register, down to the kitchen. Everyone had a huge smile on their face and I was so happy to see that. So rare with restaurants. The only issue is that it’s very pricey, $ 35 for 2 hotdogs, 2 burgers, and 2 milkshakes. Much better quality than McDonald’s, though(obviously). I will continue to come for the smiles and the good burgers :)

I don’t understand all the hype and great reviews plaster all over the store when the burgers and fries are terrible. how hard is it to make a burger and fries? not to mention that they are very expensive for a fast food restaurant. the way they package the fries is terrible too, they give you fries in a cup, so when you open the bag there are fries all over the bag. this was my first time visiting five guys burgers and fries and it will be my last.

Great burgers and fries spot. The burgers are freshly made and made to order. The fries are the best thing about this place, they are freshly made and not frozen as you would expect. Just be for warned your fries order is a double helping, meaning your order regular fries and you are basically getting two orders as they dump a extra tray on it. The prices are good your not spending much more then you at McDonald’s or Wendy’s but receiving a much better product.

Great place for a decent burgers where you can get free toppings, you can customize it however you want. Fries comes in regular or cajun style. When they bag your food they always give you one extra little scoop of fries to your bag. While you are waiting for your food there is free peanut for you to chew on. If you are in the area and want a decent burger why not? There is parking in the back, and there’s always parking.

Welcoming staff that greets us by *shouting out loud* as we enter through the front door. Delicious burgers and amazing fries with potato skin. Heard they make the fries per order. Super fresh! Clean place, especially the restroom. No complaints! Condiments are all in tact. Soda machines are new. Free peanuts to eat while waiting for the food. NICE!

THEPROS: Like the location. Parking is easy. The guy taking my order was nice and friendly. Never had problems in the past either with customer service. But I’m writing this review from a recent takeout order that bugged me enough to point out some issues. Basically, I ordered two regular fries, and as we waited for our order, we were watching as the guy assembled the cups of fries for the orders. I noticed that he was using the smallest size cups for all the fries, despite the fact that he was visibly reading the orders. When he told us our orders were next, we watched carefully to see if they would give us regular sized cups for the fries, but they just took the filled small ones. My only assumption that they were too lazy to reach over and take two regular size cups! That’s why they’re near the fry station anyway! Come on! When my husband asked if those were the regular size, the guy’s eyes kind of widened and there was a slight hesitation before he said yes. Come on, we aren’t stupid — there were three different stacks of cups, in ascending order, so it was obvious he was lying. But we didn’t want to press it, and he added an extra scoop of fries(even though they do that for everyone regardless). Overall, it’s not a huge deal, but it irked me because I am paying for something I’m not getting. And something that could have easily been fixed, but they didn’t want to be bothered. It was around 2:30 –2:45 on a Thursday afternoon –they weren’t exactly overflowing with customers either to take a few seconds to switch cups. It’s the principle of the matter, not the extra $ 2.60 I threw away. For two cheeseburgers, and two regular fries, it was close to $ 28 bucks, so I knew it would be expensive going in. It’s why I don’t come here often, because while the burgers are good, it’s not thaaat good either. If I do come back, I would make sure to be firmer with what I am getting and paying for. But as of now, I have no real desire to come back. The fries were decent, some seem undercooked, and blander than they used to be.

Great burgers and the staff really cool. Hot dogs are good but prefer the non cut keep in one piece presentation. The taste was there. People scream about the FF. I have not tasted them yet and will have to come back so that I can experience what others like to talk about. Till then, I will just have to believe that I have my favorite FFand see if my perception changes. Happy Trails, JT

Good Burgers. It’s a chain but it’s a good one. I love that you get to customize your burgers and HOT DOGs. Cheese, bacon, onions, jalapeño peppers, etc. Of course the free peanuts while you wait are awesome. The fries are really good here. They always post where the potatoes are from. They have milkshakes now too. Plenty of flavors, vanilla, Oreo, chocolate, strawberry, and a bunch more. Two of the new self serve soda stations. Touch screen on what you want. Pretty cool. There aren’t too many seats here. Probably two dozen. There are restrooms here too. Plenty of parking as there are shared lots with Home Depot and Sports Authority. The area can get busy on the weekends and shopping hours.

I’ve eaten here many of times when I lived in Forest Hills Queens. They make a consistent burger and fries. Love the peanuts while I’m waiting for my burger. It’s a chain but a very good chain

I Guess I can say that Five Guys Burger and Fries was Just OK. It s really Nothing to ride home about, once again it was not my choice to have lunch there it was a Friend ‘s treat so I went for it. The Burgers are just Okay, The Fries I can say are super greasy, The onion rings were also just Okay, I can also say their soda machine offered a lot of different choices when it came to flavors. Now will I go out of my way to once again revisit Five Guys? Absolutely Not !

There is a level of truth to the idea that I grade multi state, chain fast food restaurants with a thicker and bolder red pen. But I do feel their presence, outside of middle of America’s highway and byways is taking away from local individual entrepreneurs to take a shot at their own independently owned and operated food service businesses. Yet, I still keep my reviews unbiased and always willing to give high marks if the chain is deserving of them. My first experience with Five Guys was in South Carolina and I was quite disappointed. After reading a NY Times article about America’s Fastest Growing Companies, which Five Guys was written up quite well. From their humble beginnings right up to the point of burger super power that they have become and remain today, my excitement was high but was once again left with a high level of disappointment. Highly greasy, high fat, low quality chopped meat and inferior ingredients in all other toppings. **How I miss the wonderful In and Out Burger in SoCal.**(Southern California). The South Carolina experience aside, I hoped again that the locations in NY would be better. New Yorkers demand better quality food, so my thinking was reasonable in theory. Strike up the sound of the the incorrect answer buzzer sound from Family Feud– AAAhhhahHHa-not the Louie Anderson toned down buzz, no. The Richard Dawson buzzer: AAAhhhahHHaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh The Little Bacon Burger was an overpriced greasy mess served to me in a thin piece of greasy aluminum foil. How about offering the customer a complete roll of paper towels for an up-charge of $ 1.00, which I would have happily purchased. $ 6.96 bought me a hamburger with no drink, no french fries. The bacon was the size of flooring splinters and so charred were they in color and taste, they held absolutely no flavor, the lettuce and tomato amounted to one slice of each and were as wet as a pair of Sunday afternoon swimming trunks. The workers were all under 25, realistically closer to 20. They did their jobs well enough, friendly, smiling, respectful and helpful, which was the bright spot in my experience, if you want to find a bright spot, about as bright as a flickering candle in a hurricane. . I can not at this point convince myself to revisit any of the Five Guys locations, as I just do not see my experience becoming much better.

I’ve never liked Five Guys a whole lot, particularly because their focus is subpar meat highlighted with unlimited free toppings. For those who could care less about their meat patty, and more of what they get on top, Five Guys is the perfect vessel to get their burger fix. But where Five Guys really shines are their Cajun Fries and box of free roasted peanuts. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a Five Guys joint. Since it’s National Burger Month, what better place than to go to Five Guys. Within the vicinity, Bareburger was selling a questionable and pricey burger, Tap House and Dirty Pierre’s serve some exceptional burgers but we didn’t feel like going to a bar on a busy night during the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. I decided to order the Cheeseburger($ 6.99) with Everything + Jalapeño Peppers. The cashier responded by asking if I wanted a single or double. Being that I’ve never heard this terminology before at Five Guys, I opted for the single patty along with Cajun Fries($ 3.29). Right before I was about to receive my order, which took about 8 – 10 minutes, I noticed on my receipt that the single patty was actually the same as ordering the Lil’ Cheeseburger($ 5.19). I reasoned myself it wouldn’t be a big deal since I’ll save myself from the extra 300 calories. The cheeseburger was still sizable, being that I ordered it with a lot of toppings. But one thing I couldn’t get over was how the burger patty was burnt to a crisp. It didn’t help when the patty was small and thin, and barely had any flavor. Of course, that was masked with all the toppings I had on it, including mayo, grilled onions, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, and jalapeño peppers. For the most part it took a unattractive burger into a somewhat palatable and tasty burger. But an exceptional burger in my eyes, is a good quality ground meat with 2 – 3 toppings. I was really looking forward to the Cajun Fries. A medium-sized paper cup was filled, then thrown in a bag, then another mini-sized tray was thrown in for good measure. That was always something I appreciated from Five Guys, to make it look like the fries were overflowing, and making you feel like you are getting your money’s worth. The cajun seasoning was definitely top notch, but the fries were ever so slightly cold and soggy. Maybe because we had come post-dinner hours, around 8 – 9PM, but that shouldn’t be any excuse to lower the quality of their ingredients. It just didn’t have that double-fried crispness that I’ve come to expect and enjoy from Five Guys fries. Despite that overlook, the fries were still as delicious as I had remembered. If only they had a Shake Shack next door, I would order a Shackburger with Five Guys Cajun fries. That would be my ultimate fast food burger-fry joint.
