Big Steps Prep Day Care specializes in quality early childhood education for your little ones. We provide plenty of services such as kindergarten preparation, pick up & drop off services, free meals, and much more!

We are group family day care licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (license number 705 469). Feel free to search for us. You’ll see that we have NO violations!

We accept private payments from parents as well as child care vouchers from ACS/​ACD, HRA (Cash/​Public Assistance), and Union 1199SEIU Fund.

Big Steps Prep’s Owner and teachers have all received Health & Safety Training as well as certification in Infant and Child CPR & First Aid. We have the best and highly qualified team working to serve your children.

Meet the Business Owner

Danielle P.

Business Owner

Ms. Danielle has devoted her life to working with young children. She began her child care experience at 14 years old as a babysitter. At 16, she began helping elementary students with their homework at an after-​school program. Then, she began working full time as a 3 year old teacher in a preschool. In May 2014, Ms. Danielle took a great leap of faith and opened Big Steps Prep Day Care in the hopes of making an impact on early learning, and making a change in the foundation of education.

In May 2015, Ms. Danielle will graduate from St. John’s University receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education. She uses her past experiences and up to date knowledge of childhood development to operate a successful day care with an enriching educational curriculum!
