Came all the way from Brooklyn to find this place closed at 2 in the afternoon. Very upset since my boyfriend recommend and insisted to go here. I was dreaming of getting a shake. *Sad face*

The burgers are loaded and affordable. the original burger comes with fried onions, cheese, bacon, tomatoes and potato crisps. the service is less good, it takes them about 10mins for each order. a major downturn is that they tend to forget food items. And if you check your order it will take them another 10mins.

$ 4.31 for banana shake from a staffer who was shocked to have business on a weekend afternoon; décor definitely needs an update. Enter on Northern, not 84th

This is a place mainly for Colombians and is open 24⁄7. Conveniently located on northern blvd and has a variety of things. They have burgers, shakes, juices, hotdogs and more. The downside of this place is that it takes forever!!! So call ahead. The breakfast sandwich is so good! I would recommend for breakfast.

Okay. Just Okay. They messed up my order when I asked for an arepa sandwich and gave me regular bread instead. I really get annoyed when people mess up your order, especially when it’s not busy. Anyway, it tasted alright, not an «OMG» sensation just alright. Got my food quickly and without any rude service so I can’t complain there. I also purchased the mango smoothie… meh… That was a major disappointment. Would I go back? Probably not, unless I am in a drunken stupider.

Salchipapas with cheese, Cuban arepa, a shake. Nom nom nom!!! This is good after the club food or we are up late on a Saturday food. I enjoy it from time to time. It is super greasy, good and filling.

Banana King feels slightly out of place in the USA. Just like those Mentos commercials… They use frozen everything so a juicery this is definitely not. On the plus side you can add protein powder for $ 1.50 which improves the nutritional value of their $ 3.99 basic shakes. The menu and prices are not thorough so ask what things will cost before you start adding on the extras. The seating area is a huge room with 12 half-circle booth lining both sides plus there are stool which u can pull up to the booth with if you need extra seats.

Prices are very cheap. I come here once in a while, but it is always a hard choice between la perrada across the street. I’m obsessed with the white sauce. the burgers are allright, not too amazing. Friendly staff. They’re salchipapas are great though, whatever brand of frenchfries and hot dog they use is amazing :)

Good shakes, but the sandwiches are mediocre at best. Great option when you have nothing else to eat, or when you’re too broke to afford pio pio and when you’re feeling too classy to buy some mamas empanadas.

Tried the shakes a couple times. Strawberry was superb while mango was mediocre. The food is garbage. The breakfast sandwiches are poorly made and have no flavor. Still it’s right around the corner and open 24 hours.

Incredible passion fruit smoothies for great price! 3.99 $ for a great size smoothie made with milk. guanabana and passion fruit are probably the best.

I stumbled upon this spot a few months ago because I was driving in the area and the name was intriguing to me. I had a mango shake at the time which was pretty good. Today I decided to try the pincho combo and I am definitely a fan. I got the steak which was quite good. I was pleasantly surprised and the chimichurri sauce that it came with was excellent. I wasn’t expecting the less than half sized baked potato but that too was good. The meat was very flavorful. What I really enjoyed was the fact that the variety of shakes they offer and you can get it with either milk or water. An added bonus is that they are open 24 hrs. I definitely see myself coming back when I get the late night munchies after a night of dancing.

5 stars for the shakes, 2 for the food. I have tried food here twice and it has been mediocre both times. I will stick to the delicious shakes from now on.

The name threw me off at first but the food here is delicious! Great sandwiches, especially when your stomach is in need of food after a long night out. The pink sauce is a must btw

The shakes are fine; I’ve had the passion fruit one a couple of times. But they are slightly less interesting than the kind found in mom-and-pop joints. On the food side, I’ve enjoyed the salchipapa and the patacon(pernil edition.) The patacon is a more deluxe product, but both of these items manage to become more than the sum of their parts and both get surprisingly high mileage from pink sauce.

The first time I went to Banana King, was in New Jersey after a night out where we ordered the Steak Sandwich and a Passion fruit shake. I thought it was so good! Especially the shake. I came to Unilocal in search for a Banana King in Queens and found the Jackson Heights location which we went to that evening. I noticed there were only 2 other costumers and thought… hmm? Is this location brand new or something? We ordered; 2 chicken empanadas(chicken patties) 2 empanadas de carne(beef patties) a Steak sandwich a Patacon King(which is a big flat fried plantain with pink sauce(ketchup and mayo) with a big piece of chicken breast covered in cheese, and sauteed shrimp) sounds delicious right… and 2 Passion fruit shakes, this time made with water… WHAT A FKENDISAPPOINTMENTTHISWAS!!! :O The empandas tasted old and the crust was overdone! They added bacon to the steak sandwich which regularly you would think it’s good… But the combination tasted OFF! and it tasted nothing the one from jersey! Oh man and the Patacon… looked JUST like the picture, beautiful… ANDITWASTHEWORST of everything we ordered! The plantain was hard so it was NOT freshly made, Chicken barely had any taste/seasoning and the shrimp was all looks, yuck! The Passion fruit shake was once again great, but besides that, ITWAS A WASTEOF $ 21 dollars! A business that claims to incorporate Dominican, Cuban, and Colombian food should KNOW their seasonings and food. My hubby and 4 year old who can eat, didn’t even like it and that says a whole lot to me. Not only that! On our way home, hubby and I felt sick and the shrimp after taste was still with me. INALL!!! They should stick to making the shakes and juices… La Perrada de Chalo is kicking their a$$ anyway, right across the street LOL. Note: Go Uptown for REAL Dominican Patacones

I don’t know where the hell the real menu is. I mean I really don’t see a menu for shakes etc. But they are really nice. If I say I want a certain shake, they just make it, no questions asked. I was annoyed at first but started to have lots of fun later. The meat on a stick(pincho) is great. I have learned through purchases that the best value is if you say you want a pincho combo with a shake. You get a great fruit smoothie shake(i love mango but also like strawberry banana) and a pincho and a baked potato(small, very small) shaped like a heart. They also have patacon and other stuff. The steak pincho was greasy but it was really great. Like I love it. I hear the chicken is, well, chicken. Decent new place with lots and lots of seating.
