Yummy Massage

I haven’t yet gone to this place yet and I got a Groupon and I have emailed, sent message from their website and even left vm and I never got a response back and this was since September! I just called this morning and left a vm and even texted trying to see if they would call or text back. This is my last attempt to contact this place that doesn’t get back to customers. Next step will be to get a refund.

(Only 1 star because they «made» me! Zip, Zero, Zilch!) I was excited to see this deal on Groupon as it was my besties bday and he’d never had a professional massage. It’s too bad messages are not returned in a timely fashion… or at all rather, as the voicemail states: «calls returned w/​in 2 to 4 hours.» My call (Placed on Monday) was not returned nor was my friends call (Tuesday) – calling on my behalf as I was driving. So when I called back (way longer than 2/​4hrs later) I requested a refund. I refuse to pay for a service I cannot get.
It seems good business practice would validate a courtesy call but after reading the reviews and seeing the overall rating of 2 ½ stars…
It’s a moot point!

This was my first time having massage in this place. I used 2hr Groupon. Julie is really good at doing massage. She know what she’s doing. When I was done with massage, she told me that if I want to get another massage it would be for 1hr= $ 90. So I got disappointed because I can get 90mins for that price or less. Her prices for massage is bit expensive, but her service is good. I go to her again for another Groupon deal defiantly.

Jessie was amazing! I had a 60 minute massage from groupon. The appointment was nothing like I expected. It was almost like it was half massage, half physical therapy. Jessie took a lot of care to find out my body’s specific problem areas, and let me know what I could to in my day-​to-​day life to help.
If you’re just looking for someone to rub oil on you for a whole, don’t come here. But if you want a really massage that will be designed specific to you, DEFIANTLY check yummy massage out.

I had my first massage with Julie at Yummy Massage today. This was a Groupon deal and I had no problems booking the appointment (did it within one week’s time). I got a call early this morning because the therapist I was scheduled with called in sick and I was rescheduled for later I the day. People get sick, it happens. It actually worked out well because Julie is clearly very experienced and knows how to find and treat trouble spots. The massage was painful at times but I think of it as a necessary pain. Julie was responsive to my requests to lighten the pressure when it got a little too intense but she took her time to focus on my trouble spots. I’ve actually booked a followup with her next month and plan to continue seeing her monthly. If you’re looking for a fancy spa, this place isn’t it; but if you want a good massage from an experienced therapist, this is it.

Great couples massage. Both massage therapist were amazing. Will definitely return for again for a couples massage. They worked on all the tender spots and had the prefect amount of pressure.

Okay, so this place is getting way too much of a bad reputation than it should. I shall try to change this with my review. If people were not so passive aggressive about what their services are like, they could change. This is your massage! They are here for you!
I’ve gotten a massage from them before, and it was fine. I went back, this time with my cousin. We got the couples massage package on groupon. Two ladies, Jessie and Julie?, worked on our problem areas and then proceeded to give us our full body massage.
Wonderful pressure, and they ask if you want less or more. Totally professional and they will ask you first what you want in your massage and your occupation to pin point stressors and areas to work on. I honestly wanted to fall asleep, so I told the lmp I did not want to talk and just enjoy my massage.
During the massage, I got rekei, reflexology, and really stretched out. We got a full hour, which is rare for massage places to give. At the end the workers even took their own time on pointers in how to stretch and extra advice.
At the end, we had cupcakes… With sprinkles. What massage center does that?

Therapist did not show up for appointment. Ten minutes past appointment time another therapist offered to do the massage but I had another appointment I would be late for since this one was now late. Staff was friendly throughout.
When I find an LMT I like, I don’t like to switch around (especially involuntarily) or start late so this visit soured me on this facility.
Updated to 3 stars from 2 because things do happen. But I do deserve the respect of a phone call.

In a nutshell: Good massage, BAD customer experience! The full story: Bought a groupon for 2 hr massage, tried MULTIPLE times to book for a weekend and was told that there were no appts available, when I tried to schedule farther out, they weren’t scheduling that far! Finally booked appt and was driving at the time so I asked if they would call the day before to confirm. I was told no, but that they would confirm by email. Since my email goes to my phone, I figured «no problem» but I was wrong. Despite the fact that my email is comprised solely of my last and first name @yahoo.com, she didn’t spell it correctly so I got no email. The day of the appt, 20 minutes after the appt should have begun, I got a voicemail saying that I missed appt.
I called back 10 minutes later asking if I could change time because I got no email reminder and was told no because reminder was sent. I told her I was on my way, that I would take the remainder of the appt. I arrived in time to get 1 hr and 5 min massage except that the therapist had left. (It turns out the therapist was the owner.) She was called back in, but took FOREVER to get back, and the massage I got was for about 15 minutes. Owner made few apologies that email address was entered wrong and put ownership of issue on me. Nonetheless she did give a good massage, so when groupon came back I thought I would try again for full 2 hr massage since the price was good. WRONG. Apparently only one groupon per customer. Owner told me I could call groupon and cancel and she would honor groupon price (basically cheating Groupon out of their share) I did cancel groupon and let them know that was what she had suggested. Parking is also at a premium here, so bottom line is it is JUST NOT WORTH IT! Save yourself the hassle, I cancelled my appontment and WILL NEVER return under any circumstances.

This place is such a joke. Obviously employees here do not care about the business since they do not know what is on their website. The business hour they have on web is from 8−9pm and on Unilocal it is 9am-​9pm but if you call their last appt is 6pm everyday. Their tone of voice changes when you tell them you have a groupon deal. I was excited to get a couples massage but apparently professionalism does not exist in this business. What a disappointment!

If I could give no stars I would. I had such a bad experience here I didn’t get another massage anywhere for nearly a year, thinking there was something wrong with me! Went in for a Swedish massage, ended up getting a Deep Tissue massage (that I did not ask for or want). Therapist paid no attention to my repeated requests to ease up pressure and depth. Left in pain and ended up with severe bruising that lasted for weeks. I’m a licensed RN and I know the amount of force it takes to produce bruises like that in the area I had bruised (hips, upper thighs, fatty tissues). I will NEVER go back and I would advise others to stay as far away as possible.

I had a GREAT experience at Yummy Massage! I easily scheduled online for my 90min groupon massage. Showed up, got an awesome massage, and will definitely be going back! Julie is a great massage therapist and is very knowledgeable about her practice. I definitely recommend Yummy Massage!

I tried to give this place so many chances and I am finally exasperated. Like a previous reviewer I have been attempting to schedule a massage for my groupon and it has proven impossible.
For months I’ve been trying to get a time that would work, all the open appointments were in the mornings when I was working and the weekends were never available. A few times a time that worked for me opened up and I called to make the appointment because of the difficulties with the web scheduling past reviewers had. Each time the receptionist was un-​warm and unorganized. She put me on hold to pull up the web page and any question I asked that wasn’t available on the web page she was unable to answer and says she will call me back. Never received a call back and when I called two days later I get the same response. Not helpful at all.
Finally a spot opened up and I made the appointment and received a confirmation email and everything. Today I thought I should call just to make sure, again taking advice from past reviewers. The receptionist’s response: yeah can you hold… um you have no appointment today… the appointments today are cancelled… the masseuse called everyone with an appointment today and had to cancelled. I received no such call. Upon trying to reschedule and find something that would work she was completely unhelpful and unapologetic. This seems like something that they surely should be apologetic for. I’ll be calling groupon to request my money back because I am in no way inclined to try to do business with yummy massage anymore.
And the thing is, I really just wanted a massage and I really wanted to not be as bad as they had sounded in past reviews because I had already bought the groupon. I’m really disappointed.

We schedule a couple massage and showed up at our appointment on time and found nobody in the office to do the couple massage. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION. WE called and the person said they did not have the two massage therapists until later in the day. We took off work to have the massages and are disappointed that the business was not ready for us.

My husband gave me and my two daughters (ages 10 and 14) each a Groupon for a 1 hour massage.
I called the office to make sure the ages of my children wouldn’t be a problem. They said they’d ask and call me back. They never did so I called again and they said that it would be OK. So I booked all three appts one after the other with Julie Pettibone. I received several emails confirming our appts with Julie and several phone calls as well. When I showed up there was a man there to do our massages (I am the «lady» Marissa A is referring to in her review). Sending a man in your place to do massages for two young girls is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! I sent Julie an email immediately expressing my displeasure. Then another email, then left a message with her receptionist. Finally we contacted Groupon and received a refund, but I NEVER heard from Julie. What a terrible way to run your business. I am a graduate student at UWT and be certain I will be telling my classmates and friends to steer clear of this place.

Got a groupon from a friend for a 90 minute massage here. The scheduling is easy and David did an amazing job working my tense muscles and knotted back I was only a little disappointed that they do not give you an option for oils, it was strictly lotion. The environment leaves a bit to be desired and it almost felt like a fly by night business at first. There apparently was a scheduling issue when I got there as someone had to reschedule and another wanted her money back. As it was explained to me (not very professional but whatever) the other lady bought groupons for her young daughters (10 and 14) and was not ok with having a male massage them.

Not very impressed. They may give great massages, but I’ve called multiple times in regards to the «groupon now» special they’ve been running for awhile and yet everytime I call they seem completely reluctant to schedule an appointment with me, so I’ve given up. Also, the woman who answered the receptionist was pretty rude. Not a great first impression…
