Parker Construction and Remodeling

I lucked out in finding Parker Construction at the Tacoma Home Show. I was interviewing all the hardwood floor companies looking for someone who could do a «turn key» job. This consisted of carrying out the heavy furniture (I took care of the breakables), ripping out the old carpet and molding, installing raw red oak, sanding it, applying a swedish finish, installing the new oak molding and carrying the heavy furniture back. Most hardwood floor companies wanted to come into new construction and lay pre-​finished flooring. Of the three companies that bid on the «turn-​key» job, two were completely out of line price wise for simple things like carrying furniture and ripping out old carpet. That clued me in that they were not really used to doing a full job.
I contracted with Khris Parker as early as January to do the work in late May, since I had a specific range of days. His crew showed up on exactly the day he promised. Every member of his crew and his subcontractors were all friendly, professional, and worked long hard hours to keep the project on schedule. My hardwood floors are gorgeous and I love the new room. I will try to give each of his subcontractors an excellent review on Unilocal,too, because they were all great. I highly recommend this company for any of your remodeling projects.

Parker Construction was recommended to us by Lumber Liquidators. We had a Very Large project, but Khris and his crew (Harley, Russ, Rick and others) came together and made it happen. There were some challenging aspects to the installation, but it turned out great. Professional, communicative and craftsmanship all come to mind when thinking about Parker Construction.

Hired them based on a recommendation of someone at a Lumber Liquidators store — a relative that was not identified as an outside vendor. They upsold to for other projects around the house — didn’t work out and we terminated them before getting to the floor. No written contract, no permits, no inspections, and no tax if you pay in cash.
