Description

Specialties

Wake up to Mount Rainier outside the window! Every pillow in the house has a wonderful view of the mountain. We are nestled between giant evergreens and seeing deer amble through the yard or stop to munch in the flowerbeds.

We serve a full breakfast — usually muffins fresh out of the oven. Some of the favorites are seafood strata, salmon frittata, and, of course, crème’ brule French toast with maple bacon. We also accomodate special food requests and allergies.

History

Established in 2005.

Zoom bought the property in the late 70’s and built the home in 1985. He always considered the mountain his and knew every point along local roads where he could catch a glimpse of the mountain so building a house with an unobstructed view was only natural. In 1999 he finally convinced Lenny to marry him and after she lost her job in 2004, a bed and breakfast seemed a natural choice to let us share the view and our home.

Meet the Business Owner

Zoom and Lenny Z.

Business Owner

Zoom is almost a native. His family moved to Puyallup when he was in kindergarten and he immediately claimed Mount Rainier was his own personal mountain. He bought the property in 1978 specifically for the view and saved to build the house in 1985. The original house plan was modified and turned completely on the property to take full advantage of the Rainier view, not with the North/South directions of the planet.

Lenny grew up in Minnesota and moved to Washington the first time in 1978. She and Zoom worked together briefly and she fell in love with Mount Rainier as well. Not having siblings, she returned to Minnesota in 1984 to be close to her aging parents. Zoom stayed in contact and sent cards, flowers and photos of the mountain. In 1997 they went on their first date when she visited Washington friends and the rest, as they say, is history. They were married in 1999 and opened the B&B in 2005. They live with their cat, Edith.
