History

Established in 1967.

Kemp Quarries was founded in 1967 by W.L. «Bill» Kemp, Jr. along with his late father, W. L. «Les» Kemp, Sr. as Pryor Stone Inc. Bill’s son, James and daughter-​in-​law, Melinda have since taken over the day to day activities, serving as CEO and CFO respectively. As the company continues to grow, Kemp Quarries has been and still is a locally owned, family ran business.

Over the years, Kemp Quarries is proud to have been involved in many of the larger projects across the region. Our products have been a key element in the development of many of the areas we serve including projects within the Mid America Industrial Park, the Oklahoma Turnpike System, International and Regional Airports, State /​Local Highways, Power Plants, Schools and Universities, Hospitals as well as multiple other projects.
