I convinced my husband to go here after reading reviews and hearing him be indifferent about his other cuts. What a sad experience. Ever since it was cut — the minute he walked out — he was not sure that he would be pleased. He tried to tell Johnny about a difficult area, and it was not addressed. After a week of debating if he should go back, he called to see what a fix would be. He was told cuts are guaranteed only 3 days and it would be likely full price to come back. My husband should not have tipped and certainly will not be back — unfortunately. He said Johnny was nice, but as a more mature gentleman, my husband felt he received a cut for someone the same age and also that he wasn’t interested in keeping a customer.

RACIST!!! My husband is a Tongan man, returned missionary(for you LDS folks), great husband and father as well as all around person. He’s played in the NFL for the last 3 years and has never had any type of run in with the law. I only say all of that for anyone else who might stereotype Polynesians. We are originally from California and have noticed so much stereotyping of Polynesians and other minorities here in Provo. Anyway, back to this disgrace of a barber shop. My husband took one step in the door and the barber(I’m assuming it was Johnny) an old man said to my husband«I won’t cut your hair» Flat out. No further explanation, no anything. The older white gentleman that was getting his haircut looked at my husband like«yeah» Seriously? Please don’t support a business that doesn’t treat everyone fairly. And for anyone who’s going to say«oh maybe he just doesn’t know how to cut Polynesian hair» my husbands hair is thin and not at all«hard to handle.» RIDICULOUS.

I am glad I found this place. I had driven past it many times but never tried it. Jonny is great, very accomplished barber and nice guy. Your better off calling him then trying to walk in, he only has the one chair and it is busy. $ 12 is a great price and it is one of the best haircuts I have had. He does not accept Visa, so bring cash.

How has nobody reviewed this place yet? This is by far one of the BEST places in town to get your haircut. $ 12 for an adult cut that is the best I’ve had in 10 years. Johnny is very amiable and has 50 years cutting hair here in Provo. He even offers a hot shave for about the same price. The place can get busy but it’s definitely worth the wait! If you’re looking shaggy and need to impress, this is the place.
