Discover Vanity; a sexy 1920’s era throwback tribute to the famed elicit Speakeasy establishments that operated in direct and clever violation of the vastly unpopular 18th Amendment and sporadically enforced Volstead Act. Folklore abounds as to the nature and particulars of how these establishments carried on, and the fascination of their existence has emerged as a significant area of interest in popular culture. Vanity elegantly blends a vintage feel with modern décor and inflections, producing an impeccably unique dining and nightlife experience unlike any other. We welcome you to find our well disguised underground location which draws intrigue from passersby and thrill seekers alike. Once inside, an exuberant evening of sight and sound awaits; in chic modern fashion, join us as we celebrate Prohibition!
History
Established in 2012.
The owners of The Vanity Supper Club have been friends since childhood. The two met at a young age caddying at Alpine Country Club. Now years later their hard work paid off and they are young veterans of the Rhode Island restaurant and nightlife scene. Vanity Supper Club opened in 2012 with the aspiration to bring a bit of luxury to the everyday lives of Rhode Islanders, without the high prices and stuffiness one might expect. They designed Vanity Supper Club to look like the «parlour room» of a comfortable vintage style home. While the space exudes old world elegance, it has a decidedly come as you are modern feel to it. Vanity Supper Club has become known for its excellent selection of boutique wines, carefully-crafted and inventive cocktails, welcoming staff, delicious cuisine, and, according to Coast 93.3 «excellently curated» musical selections, all of which are enjoyed in the elegance of it’s surroundings. Discover Vanity at 566 South Main Street in Providence Rhode Island.
