History

Established in 1981.

The Camera Werks has been a destination on Hope Street in Providence since 1987 and is one of the last independently owned camera shops in Rhode Island. What began as a ‘mom and pop’ repair shop that catered to photographers and studios throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts, this small business evolved into a photo-friendly, service-minded retail shop that offers a variety of photographic services and accessories, including custom framing, photo processing, video transfer services and those hard-to-find passport & immigration photos that require special sizing.
