History

Established in 1880.

The Blount family has been in the food business since 1880. Blount Fine Foods is a custom foods company creating fabulous soups and premium prepared foods for club stores, grocery stores and restaurants throughout the country. Blount runs production facilities in Warren, RI and Fall River, MA. Our seafood background has established us as the largest producer of clam chowder in New England and the largest manufacturer of Lobster Bisque in the country. But this does not limit us from making awesome beef chili, chicken tortilla or organic tomato soup. in addition, Blount has launched a line of dips and salads like lobster salad and Greek yogurt vegetable dip.

In recent years, we have combined our experience in creating delicious soup and seafood recipes, with our love of the New England Coast, to open four Blount Clam Shack restaurants. Each location offers guests a nostalgic clam shack experience with the favorites of summer.
