I love me some Popeyes. Granted this location is tiny, constantly busy and I’ve seen vomit in the parking lot twice, their chicken is always fresh, delicious and super tender. The service is usually pretty good: after ordering blackened chicken and waiting over 20 minutes, the server brought out an extra order of crispy tenders to compensate for the wait(despite that we never complained). Price wise, they can be a little expensive if you don’t have a coupon or if they’re not offering one of their frequent $ 5 deals. I also kinda hate that they actually charge you for extra sauce packets. Still, when I have a couple extra bucks to spare, I usually grab something to go for lunch.

Yummy but annoyingly cheap staff! They gave me 2 small chicken wings for my 2 pc set and it was so small there was barely any meat! Not exaggerating. Be clear about the parts you want!

I like Popeyes, just not THIS Popeyes. It’s always dirty, no matter if you’re there right after they open or not. Sadly, the employees all have horrible attitudes, so that all adds up to POORMANAGEMENT!!! This place COULD be a goldmine with quality management and properly trained help. I truly don’t understand why the Health Department hasn’t stepped in at this place. Never Again at this location.

I love this place – except that they do run out of wings ALOT! Tip to the manager: when you are in the hood, never run out of wings! So I was looking at GMA and they were sampling the new chicken waffle strips. Sam champion, especially, was smacking away. And Robin looked very threatening, when Sam made a move towards hers(understandably!) On tv, I can never tell if the food is really good, or they’re faking it. WELLTHEYWEREN’T FAKING! Party in my mouth. Mardi Gras in my mouth, for that matter. OMG. Yes! OMG. And the dippping sauce. I could’ve put it on ice and drank it. Wow! It was also piping hot because it was freshly made. I couldnt even drive home(which is a few feet.) I had to stop and have a moment right there. My, my, my!

My chicken was cold. Although, the SO’s fish was good. I don’t plan on coming back.

Went in here with a couple of friends, the parking lot was packed but there was no one in the building but myself, two friends and the coworkers. Finally we realized that the people were all drive thru customers waiting on orders. There was a line all the way around the drive thru as well. The employees were yelling at each other, they all looked dirty/greasy as did the entire inside of the building. My friends ordered their food and I refused. I told the girl at the counter there was no way I was ordering food that was prepared in this building. I’ve had Popeye’s a few times and enjoyed it(for what it’s worth)…never again.

What can I say, Love that Chicken from Popeye’s. I so love their chicken and biscuits. Compared to the ‘other’ chain, well there just is no comparison. So, there are a couple of issues. First the red beans and rice is just a little watery. Not soupy mind you but it seems like it is being cooked by someone that has never had Red Beans and rice from the Louisiana /Texas boarder. Next, for some reason, there seems to be an issue with actually bringing the heat on the spicy. I know that companies change up spicy products the further north they go to take the edge off, but I want me some HEAT! FYI, in case you did not know, Salsa for example, Pace in particular, does not sell the same Hot up here as it does in Texas. The ‘hot’ here is actually the medium in Texas. But on the flip side, we thing Long John Silvers has good fried fish. So now you know. When you are tired of the bland and very over priced small pieces of chicken from the ‘other’ chain, head to Popeyes.

Personally, I love fried chicken, I know it’s bad for me, but once I eat once piece, game over, I can’t stop. Popeye’s is wayy better than KFC in my opinion, better chicken, better biscuits, better sides.

Popeye’s is damned good. In the fight for chicken dominance, this place pecks its way to the top. so crispy and good. the spicy chicken tastes like a little piece of heaven. The biscuits taste like they were made by jesus. I’m not gonna lie. I’d eat this stuff every day, all day, if I could. I say that without shame. What prevents me you ask? The fact that 3 pieces of chicken, a side of beans and rice, and a biscuit is well over 1300 calories. My ass expanded even typing those words… this particular Popeye’s is good enough, if not a little dirty. The tables seem to be in constant need of being cleaned and they never have napkins out. Still, the chicken is so good, I can overlook that.
