Muse Paintbar

My boyfriend recently brought me here as a surprise! It was something new and very refreshing. The atmosphere was filled with positive energy and excitement.
The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to painting and taking orders from the menu. The music was just right and if you wanted, you could request any song you wanted to hear. («Thinking out Loud» was my choice).
This is definitely a place where couples, a group of friends, and families could go to!

I love going to the musebar! The instructors are very friendly. They walk you through the instructions step-​by-​step, assistance with any «mistakes» on your painting, great music to keep you energized and have a great offerings of refreshments. I highly recommend stopping by for an afternoon or evening of painting!

Muse has FABULOUS instruction and paint blending technique. I’ve done a couple paintings to date, and also tried other paint night venues. Muse rocks on every level! Staff are all happy to be there, music aspect is fun and helps with timing, you know where you stand, individuality is encouraged, and yet if you want a reproduction, the clear, concise, expert instruction gets you a really close approximation. Food is great, beverage options are awesome (San Pellegrino, please remain on the menu.)
I’ll be going to Muse again soon, and it is my favorite paint night place. I plan to go at least monthly because it is truly that much fun overall!

I went to an outing with friends here for a wine glass painting night. The instructor was lighthearted and helpful, taking things slowly so we had plenty of time to do as we pleased.
The wine glass pours were very generous which was awesome. They open a tab for you too so you can just wave the bartender over to your painting table to get another drink.
The one gripe I had is the place is not roomy by any means and I personally think they overbook. My chair was basically touching the chair of the table behind me so nobody could get through. The real aisles were narrow as is, too… So a bit claustrophobic. But other than that, it’s all good things!

First time here and I enjoyed it, seems like everyone else did as well. My fiancé and I had no idea what we were getting into but we wanted to try something new, and we did.
The location is easy to miss it’s not a bright building or anything It blends in with the rest we passed it twice, just keep an eye out. Also be prepared to park on the street and pay the meters (a downfall of being in this location). We went on a Saturday so there wasn’t any parking, so we had to park on the street and all the way down.
Once we enter the place it was a little confusion because you have NO idea where to go or who to speak with so I just walked to the bar spoke with the employee and went to our table. While inside I notice all ages, children, young adults, adults, and older adults. Everyone seemed so excited.
The idea of painting even for a newbie is very skeptical I didn’t know how I would enjoy it but I did and so did my fiancé. They have one instructor up there showing around 30 people how to paint it’s a little difficult for everyone to see what he was doing which frustrated me a little bit. He was very sweet and came around to help but I think there should be 2 instructors one helping the left side and 1 helping the right. Some of the older adults were drinking and became obnoxious so hearing the instructor became a problem.
They also played music at the painting place and some of it was too grown for the children.
Overall I would recommend this place just the few downfalls I mentioned but it’s worth the money. Just expect there to be tons of people, or it be crowded and a little difficult to learn, but it is fun and funny to see how much people can’t paint.

My first time ever doing a paint nite and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Our instructor was great, explained details very simply and encouraged creativity. Just wish there were a bit more breaks. I found myself trying to keep up with her, not her fault, just pressure I put on myself. There was also another instructor who worked at the bar but went around and helped those of us in need. They also gave very useful tips on how to fix things on our painting. At the end of the night you are given time to finish your painting to your liking, let it dry out decide if you even want it. They also serve food, nothing extravagant. We ordered the sampler which consisted of mozzarella sticks, mini hot dogs and spinach and feta triangles (our favorite). I will definitely do this again, I had an amazing time.

Came here a while ago and totally forgot to review! Silly me! I have been to other paint bars so this was not a new experience for me, just a new location. I liked the intimacy of this location as well as the instructor. This class felt more personal than other locations I have been to due to the size. It was easy to hear the instructor and if/​when you had a question, to get it answered was quick. I am not usually in this area, my friends thought it would be fun for an adventure down to Providence, so we did and it was a great time.

Dragged the boyfriend with me for the first time back in October and WOW what fun! He and I worked together to expand the scene onto both of our canvases (he’s a smart cookie, and his half is better than mine). We had a younger guy as our instructor, and he did do great, I just wish maybe he and the other workers had gone around and helped a little more? But just a small comment. They had cider which was good for me, and they do have a few IPA’s which was good for the boyfriend. We both did get some of their food which I thought was good but did take a while as the bartender/​artist was also the cook, I think she said.
We’re headed back in a few weekends (and boyfriend is looking forward to it as well!) — it’s a great time and I highly recommend it!

What a great way to meet with friends and enjoy a great night of fun. The staff is fabulous and very patient with those of us who are not «true» painters. It was great to discover what talent we all have with a little instruction. Muse has a great bar and offers food, although we did not try any of their offerings. All materials were included… even the apron which was especially important for me! I would recommend this fun activity to everyone looking to have fun in a new and exciting way.

I have gone to two paint nights here and I fully plan on going again!
I always have so much fun. Being a bit of a perfectionist and slightly avant-​garde in my own right, I rarely keep pace with the group. But I love that the instructors at the Muse not only mind divergence but actually encourage it. They are all very friendly and knowledgeable in assisting and giving out advice when it is sought out. The instructors are very positive when you are a little too hard on yourself #perfectioniststruggles and you end up walking out with a new sense of accomplishment along with a new masterpiece to don on your wall.
The space was a little cramped and if you aren’t paying attention you could dip your brush into your dixie sized wine cup (which may or may not have happened to me). Their food is mainly heated up hors d’œuvre and finger foods. Which were pretty tasty, but not outstanding. It didn’t bother me too much since I came here mainly for the experience of sippin’ alcoholic beverages and painting.
You don’t have to be an expert to paint. Just come with an open mind, a set of ready-​to-​get-​messy hands and find your Muse at the paintbar!

We celebrated a friend’s birthday here and had a great time! The instructors were very helpful and energetic. The girls really enjoyed getting together and trying our creative side! Thank you Muse Paintbar for a fun girls night out!

So. Much. Fun. I am not an artist. When I paint, it’s a bedroom wall. The instructor takes you through, step by step how to bring your personal creation to life. There were many ‘non-​painters’ at the event I attended and it looked like everyone was having a good time. Snacks, wine and beer are available for sale. Canvas, paint and brushes are provided. Just bring yourself and enjoy!

I really thought this was going to be a semi lame experience, but it turns out that it’s a lot of fun. I went with two of my sisters, one older and one younger, and a best friend of mine. All of us found it to be really easy to follow along to, but also liked the freedom of choice we had with our paintings. We also walked out of the place really satisfied and happy with what we produced. Great activity to do with friends and family.

Let me start by saying, my boyfriend and I are avid fans of the opportunity to learn how to paint. I have been here 3 times now, so I’m definitely a fan.
My only suggestions for improvement are the food — not so great… most of it seems microwaved and not very tasty. And the drinks — not so great, either. A bigger beer selection is needed for those of us who can’t stomach wine (hey, we can’t all be ar-​teests!). And after a few times coming here, I’ve heard the same introductory jokes a few times now — it’s kind of like the blue man group, you get the same thing every time.
But, no major complaints. They are excellent at teaching art, which is their main selling point. I wouldn’t come here just for the food/​drinks, nor for the comedy. NOTE: like I said, I’ve been here 3 times despite those two things, so I’d say it’s worth it!

My boyfriendand i are always trying to find new and different things to do on dates. We liked the idea of going to a painting bar after seeing Muse on a facebook link. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun and are planning on going again in the near future. You dont need to be skilled in painting in order to enjoy a class. The instructors are informative and nice!

Quite a wonderful experience and quaint little place snuggled in between multiple fine dining shindigs in Providence. The artists are incredibly friendly, talented and are very helpful when you decide to deviate from the original art piece, whether because of an artistic urge or inability to follow direction or the occasional arm twitch from not enough alcohol.
The drinks are moderately priced for paintnites, however the food is really not that impressive, but I respect that they told me all of the stuff are pre-​bought anyway.
Overall, I had a great time painting the sky and the birds, and should the opportunity arise again to take a date out, I’d come back!

Being a total wino and loving to paint I don’t know how i haven’t been to one of these events yet. Now when I say paint I mean I buy little ceramic statues and birdhouses and paint them. I don’t have any type of artistic talent so while I was excited to try I was nervous my picture would be ugly. No worries there ! Had a great experience. First off the place is super funky. So neat to look around and it’s such a happy atmosphere. They have a decent sized drink list and also some food available if your hungry. The staff are incredible. The woman at the bar was very friendly and the rest of them walking around were helping us with more paint and cleaning up after us. The real treasure of this place is Vanessa. I was told she was the owner and I’m so glad she taught us. She is bubbly and happy and made us feel at ease and let us know we would make a great painting regardless of talent. And she was right. She walked us through every step and helped along the way. While I’m not a artist I sure felt like one. I love my painting and have it hung proudly in my kitchen. I have been to several of these drink and paint type of events and I have to say this one was the best! The fact that you are going into an art studio with a wine bar in the back is the perfect setting.
The artist, Vanessa, was so energetic and really explained the techniques, she was fun and very positive!
If you have no idea how to paint like me, you will still be totally fine, such a fun atmosphere!

I feel like I became a master painter with the help of the fabulous sons of anarchy mo fo ! That blond teacher (forget his name to busy being lost in his golden locks) was hells rad!

Alright! First review! Went with a friend using a Groupon & it was SO much fun!
So there’s a few Muse Paintbars… This one just opened in providence & riding the trend of the group painting activity
At first the Type A personality in me was a little stressed out that mine didn’t look exactly like the instructors… But then I realized… Who cares? I’m drinking & I’m so focused on making a straight (or swirly, in this case) line that my worries about my job or my bills or any of the other stuff I had to do… Just all went away. More relaxing than yoga that’s for sure (for me anyways). And the best part? Not only do they give you step by step instruction, you take home your painting, AND they clean up for you! Perfect for the no-​hassle artist within you.
They’ve got a wine & beer bar & menu (which I didn’t look into). The groupon made it totally affordable (please keep that going!)
And bonus! It’s right next to Harry’s Burger bar, XO café, Mills Tavern. So food of all $$ levels is there if you wanna grab dinner before the activity. Also perfect if you are looking for a date activity that is a little less intense one-​on-​one time (perfect for first dates)!
Takes a little pre-​planning though. Check their website for their calendar as there aren’t sessions every day.
