They have one of the best veal dishes and it only costs about $ 4 – 5 and it could feed a family and definitely charge up to $ 20 anywhere outside the hospital. I tell ya, this is one of the best places for lunch around the area.

Miriam Hospital jus got UnilocalED! Really like the food here. They have different variety of dishes. 1 in particular is the salmon. They make it at least 6 different ways. The soups are also delicious. If your ever visiting any1 at Miriam Hospital be sure to try something there its well worth it.

Stellar dining experience at the Miriam café. I especially recommend the blueberry pancakes, omelettes made to order and the salmon lunch special. The staff is amazing!

Love this café. Notice I called it a café, without the –teria. The staff are all super friendly and generous with their portion-doling, and the selection of food is fabulous(panini, pizza, soup, entrée, legit veggie sides, wrap«action» station, super fresh salad bar, grill, chilled desserts, soft homemade cookies!) Some if my favorites: — Brisket: Get this. It is always tender, juicy, and flavorful. Beware, portions are huge! — Veal: Super flavorful, the marsala mushroom sauce is lovely and envelopes the tender morsels of meat. I might even like this better than the brisket. — Roasted asparagus: Perfectly tender and well seasoned. — Sweet potato hash: Amazing. Sweet and savory, soft and creamy, and a lovely bright orange. — Omelettes: Perfectly cooked, great breakfast option — recommend adding ham, spinach, cheddar cheese… but you can add whatever you want! — Pancakes: Made to order, get them with the fresh plump blueberries and chocolate chips. You are welcome. — Cookies: Don’t miss out on the cookies — snag one to go as you approach the register(they are kinda hidden on the rack in front of the register). Oatmeal raisin and sugar cookies are my favorite.

If I could give this place six stars I would. We aren’t just talking legit cafeteria we are talking legit gourmet establishment — breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast omelette bar — omelettes made to order. Nothing fazes the Marie Langlois omelette chef let me tell you — I’ve seen him do all the toppings, none of the toppings, scrambled eggs, eggs over medium with a last minute slice of American cheese beautifully melted on top… when they say custom omelette they mean custom omelette. Lunch and dinner share the same menu, though popular entrees have a tendency to run out toward the end of the day. By popular entrees I mean anything involving red meat — Marie Langlois does that stuff right, from the velvety cubes of veal smothered in marsala mushroom sauce to the yield-to-fork tender BBQ beef brisket, you seriously can’t go wrong with the meats. The servers never skimp on portions either — they understand that gnawing left upper quadrant pain of hospital hungriness brought on by cold air conditioning and scents of Purell. They get it. Marie Langlois has never let me down; this fine joint rivals some of the best brunch places in providence, at a fraction of the price. Deserves six stars but alas Unilocal only allows five.

Out of all hospital foods or just food in general, the Miriam Hospital always meets my standards! I always eat when I see my mom and that’s a lot. I absolutely love the pizza here! The sauce is fresh and so is the cheese. The pizza is not greasy and the crust is fluffy and crispy at the Same time! I also like the hamburger and fries there. The chef cooks it just the way I like it and the fries as well. The staff there are friendly and I never have to wait too long for my food. Since I go there quite a bit the chef’s always remember what I like/get. I think it shows that they care to remember and it’s sweet that they do. If you ever have family that are patients there or just around, I would definitely go there. The food is good, the staff is great and it’s an inexpensive gem!

Oooh, I get to be the inaugural reviewer! SWEET. I feel special! Here I reveal a gem of the Providence culinary scene and provide you with information that totally validates the existence of a site like Unilocal ie real Providence insider information. The Miriam Hospital cafeteria is awesome. I am not qualifying this statement with«for a hospital cafeteria.» The food is good. Esp breakfast. French toast… pancakes…tater tots… omelets. I don’t think they feed these to the patients don’t worry. The ONLY places in Providence whose brunch I like better are Kitchen and Nick’s on Broadway. The breakfast here at who’d of thought it Miriam is better than Brickway, Amy’s Place, Wayland Square Diner, Three Sisters and Rue de L’espoir. It’s also much cheaper, you never have to worry about not finding a seat, parking is easy… it’s actually clean and pleasant inside. There is free wifi. There is even an outdoor sunken patio thing. Anyway, enough about breakfast. Lunch I enjoy as well. There’s always a good salad bar, they always have good panini and pizza every day. I remember this amazing lamb curry entrée they had once, I was like what where did YOU come from. On the sad occasion I’ve been there late enough to need dinner, it has sustained me to the end of a long work day. The lemon bars are good too. Yes Unilocalers, go ahead and think I am crazy. More french toast for meeee. The only complaint I have, is that it totally ruins the ambience when the code red and code grey bells go off. What’s the deal with that?

It’s funny how the little things keep a hospital staff going during an influenza pandemic or 100+ degree heat wave. The Miriam Hospital cafeteria is certainly no exception. First of all, the Miriam caf staff are really cream of the crop. They should be awarded MAGNET cafeteria. They are SO amenable to custom orders at the omelette and pancake station in the morning. You really can’t beat their willingness to try ANYTHING. And by anything, I mean pancakes with chocolate chip AND blueberry, pancakes with chocolate chip and strawberries from the yogurt station, omelets with corn beef hash, omelets with tater tots…(okay, okay, I agree, omelets with tater tots are probably a little Napoleon Dynamite – but don’t knock it until you try it). Speaking of tater tots, I don’t understand how they get their tots so crispy and seasoned to perfection. I’ve never been a huge fan of tater tots, but these are like… frikkin nunchuck skills good. And all for LESS than $ 1. At lunchtime, I’m a huge fan of their panini station. They usually have 3 or 4 options, and you can opt for half or full. They also have a full grill and can make you whatever type of sandwich you want – burger, turkey burger, veggie burger, chicken sandwich, french fries, curly fries… again, all for dirt cheap – LESS than $ 4 for fries and a burger. But here’s my big tip: the gift shop across from the caf has a café extension. They make AMAZING Boar’s Head deli sandwiches, have cheesecake factory cakes, AND make fresh-brewed ICEDTEA!!! Endless options. Miriam food is more than sustenance. And yes, it’s potentially the one thing that could get us to go to the hospital when we’re not working.(I have witnessed residents planning brunch at the Miriam on a Saturday morning off, no joke).
