I can’t speak highly enough of BTS! They have been a lifesaver over the years. I previously had a car with lots of ongoing problems, and they always took me in as soon as they could and did what they could to keep it running, but advised me that what it needed would cost more than what the car was even worth. So recently when I was on the hunt for a new car, I bothered them with all kinds of questions. I even brought a couple cars that I was considering in and they checked them out for me. They really went the extra mile for me and everyone I’ve ever come into contact with there is super friendly and helpful. Trustworthy, honest, likable guys. They treat you like a good neighbor. Even though cars definitely aren’t my «thing» and no one likes having car problems, BTS makes it all bearable and gets you back to normal as soon as possible.

These guys are terrible! They smile in your face and then give you tons of grief. I had my rotors replaced in March and couldn’t afford pads at the time. In August, my pads failed, and I brought my car back in. They said they replaced the rotors and pads (rotors under warranty because failed pads damaged rotors) but they never put the new rotors on my receipt. I went back and they gave me a separate receipt for the rotors and Steve assured me that my rotors were replaced under warranty. In mid September my brakes failed again. I went back and the mechanic said that the brake pad never caught on the rotors. Steve assured me that if I could drop it by any time for 4 hours Atleast I would be able to get my car serviced. I travel for work, my car is my lifeline, and I barely have an hour to myself never mind four hours but I just wanted my car to work and not have failing brakes. I showed up on a Thursday at 11:00 am and Steve refused to take my car for the day. He said he was too busy and I was rude for just showing up and compared his facility to a doctor’s office. Well I’ll tell you that if you are a doctor and you do a procedure and it fails and causes an emergency then that doctor would be liable and they would work on you immediately. As I took out my calendar to check my schedule Steve told me that I was giving him too much grief and I could call a (800) number to get my brakes changed elsewhere.
Good luck to anyone trying to get their car fixed here. It seems to me that they take advantage of customers living in blind faith, and they reuse old parts. They don’t do the work they say they do, and they don’t put new parts in.
They were friendly enough until they were caught in their own lies, and the smaller blond mechanic was super helpful and knowledgeable; however Steve is a piece of work.
I’m currently at Munroe right on the next block and they have Changed my oil and done small jobs for me in the past. They never have any issues here so far.

I have been using Steve and Tony to service my cars and provide tires when needed since 2011. They have worked on a Saturn station wagon, my dad’s Mercury Marauder, and now my Toyota Sienna minivan (for the past 20 months). They are pleasant and always give me a ride to work and pick me up when the job is done. Granted, I work close to the shop but it’s a nice courtesy that I really appreciate when I’m trying to get to work in the morning. They always call to let me know what their assessment is before actually doing the work, and provide accurate estimates of job time and cost. They are affordable and do not suggest things that aren’t really needed – sometimes they even talk me out of stuff that can safely «wait until later»
I have to comment on the review from Sean that disses the building and the neighborhood. Yes, it’s on an access road near the highway and it is a city neighborhood but not a slum by any means. They recently contracted with AS220’s Youth Mural Crew to repaint the side of the building and it looks AWESOME. They also do a lot to invest in other youth groups in the area and their waiting area has plenty of seats and magazines – much better than most garages I’ve had to hang around in. In other words they are good neighbors as well as decent businessmen. Give them a try and tell them Carol from Trinity Rep sent you.

These guys are the best. Always professional, reliable in their estimates, the work is done properly, and they stand behind it. We’ve taken our cars there for several years, and have always had good results. They explain everything they do and have always been helpful when, on a budget, we’ve had to decide which repairs to prioritize. They have a great sense of humor, too; taking your car here is like taking it to the Car Talk guys, except instead of Click and Clack it’s Steve and Tony.

Super helpful, reliable and I felt like I was getting good value for my money. We had an appointment and they were expecting us so when we arrived I heard the schpiele about what they recommended, asked for the best price and wallah…90 mins later my whip had some new kicks! They even did my inspection too… two birds, one stone!

My car kept dying in the parking lot at work. I. had a «new» battery put in by them ⁰²⁄₁₂ so thought nothing of it in 2013. Took it back to them they. supposedly checked what looked like my corroded new battery after being towed there. It died again today 10÷14÷13. Jumped at work and had my MA mechanic check it. The“new” battery is from ²⁄₀₄ according to the side stamp. Stay away from these hacks. I’m livid now needing battery and alternator stressed by old wrong car battery that this facility provided. Since it will cost more then getting a new one for small claims in RI figured I’d take care of them here instead. Hope this review help others.
Went to the shop they claim they only put in Nationwide batteries even though the facility doesn’t look like it has much storage space and could probably order any battery on demand like most shops. I still don’t know how it happened I’m getting more towing coverage from my insurance to be towed to MA the next time I need repairs. ¹¹⁄₁₃

This place is disgusting. A decrepit building houses this auto shop and looks as if it’s about to collapse at any minute. Trash surrounds the building and it’s covered in graffiti. It’s a complete and total slum and I wouldn’t trust these people to take out my trash let alone service my car.

I have never actually got my tires replaced here, but I have brought my car in for routine oil changes and maintenance — though the last check up ended with me actually having to fix a pretty major part of my engine :(Anyway, no matter where you go getting a car fixed takes a lot out of your wallet.
What I like about this place are the men that work here. They are friendly, understanding, and very easy to communicate with. It is easy to make an appointment. Every time I have been, I have been able to schedule my maintenance for whatever day works for me (with the exception of the weekend). They understand that people do not like to shell out tons of money for their car, and are able to explain to you all of the different options.
They would receive 5 stars in my book if they were open during the weekend. But overall, I feel comfortable leaving my car in their capable hands.
It’s also nice to be able to walk home.
