Worst place ever! I would never go here again. I could do a much better job myself. These girls have absolutely no talent. Not to mention how unprofessional they are. You can’t even make a appointment since nobody answers the phones. The owner or manager (whatever she is) seems to care more about what she looks like then running a business. Closing statement. Salon seems like it was opened by a bunch of fashionista playing hair dresser. Don’t waste your money

Ugh. Well unfortunately the quality of the overall services and experience here went seriously downhill so I haven’t been back in months. I can’t justify spending $ 100 a month on five blowouts that leave my hair fried and damaged. I think the management changed hands somewhere along the way and my favorite employees ended up leaving. I did not have positive results with the new staff. I’ve been investing more time in doing my own blowouts lately. And hunt for a fabulous blowout bar continues…

While my first experience was so great, the others have been so disappointing that I wouldn’t suggest going.
I called on a Tuesday to make two appointments for that Saturday. Even though it was within business hours, no one answered. This became the theme of my experience. I left a message, which was never returned. I called again Friday, no answer. Fortunately, I did receive a call back, with a somewhat sassy message. I called back a few minutes later to confirm the appointments offered in the voicemail and clarify that it was two people. No answer. No call back. I called back the next morning, desperate to confirm because my friend who was coming in town was so excited and again no call back. How a business runs without answering the phone is completely beyond me, but they must be busy given how little they care about multiple appointments. It’s a bummer because the Arcade is such a cool spot but I hope another, more professional dry bar opens downtown.

I am a professional who works downtown. I was thrilled when a blow dry opened as I am always in need of last minute appointment to spruce up my hair. My first visit was overwhelmingly positive. The owner did my hair and she was extremely personable and her work was flawless.
Since then I believe I have had 5 other appointments that I have to consider some of my worst experiences at a salon ever. Unfortunately, they are the only blow dry bar in town and there is nowhere else to go. First of all at each appointment I would walk in and no one would even say hello. I would have to say hello and tell them why I was there. You would think I was a bum of f the street meanwhile I am a well dressed professional. The 2 girls would just look at me wide eyed as to why I was there. During my visit today, I had to stop the stylist after waiting for 5 minutes without even a hello and ask her if I could reschedule an appointment. Furthermore, their work is completely lackluster. I have done braids that looked like a 10 year old did them for me.
On top of this, 2 weeks ago they sent me a receipt for a hair service to my work email that never even took place. This happened to be on a sick day for me and my employer saw it and thought I was at a salon rather than home sick. When I called to ask the girl who answered could have cared less and said they IPAD malfunctioned.
I will not be back to this place due to the sheer rudeness of the employees including the manager.

Just got a blowout here. My stylist (devon) seemed unhappy to do my hair. She got water down my back, refused to turn my chair so i could watch the blow dry, and did not offer to take my coat or give me a drink. These are the niceties patrons of most salons have come to expect. In addition, i told her i did not want a lot of product in my hair, and one of the other stylists started lecturing me on sebum production (as if i dont know my own hair) and ended her monologue with, ‘just a little education for you.’ How patronizing! My blowout was ok, I would defintely not return due to the poor customer service.

First time client and will be returning! It appeared a bit hectic for me initially but Sam seemed to have everything under control. She literally did my hair in 30mins (and I have a lot if it). She was very sensitive to my time and the style looked great. Definitely a trained professional. I look forward to visiting monthly! Huge compliments from people during the rest of day.

My girlfriend and I came here on Saturday night before a party and got our hair done. We both looked fabulous afterward and had a nice buzz from the complimentary champagne. We got several compliments on our hair later that night. It’s kind of expensive ($ 35 for a wash and blowout). Not something I would do every day but I think it’s a nice treat for a special event. Just be forewarned you can’t leave tips on a credit card which is kind of annoying.

I’ve been for two blowouts at Alex Anthony now, and am obsessed! Sammie is the best, and works wonders with my long hair. I give her free reign with the style, and have loved it each time. Such a treat to go!

I’m addicted to Alex Anthony Blow Out Bar! I took my best friend this past Saturday; We both had a great time and left with amazing hair. We were treated to complimentary champagne while Sammie and Bethany styled our hair to perfection. I will definitely be back!

On this past Saturday morning, I was lucky enough to have my hair styled by the beautiful, Sammie Jo! She not only made my hair look beautiful, but she made my mom and sister feel comfortable while they were waiting!
Count me in as a repeat customer and I will definitely be letting all of my friends/​family know about how beautiful she made my normally unruly hair.

This place is awesome. They are the experts for curly hair. I had my first curly cut and I loved it. The blow outs are awesome as well.
