I come here not only for the good food and excellent prices, but because they have two of the best servers, Jen and Nicole. Jen and Nicole are always on top of everything, and I never have too wait long for refills or my food. They always have a smile on their face, and make me feel welcome when I walk in the door. They are both so friendly! I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience when either of them have served me. Also, Rocky’s karaōke with John Coyne on Wednesdays and Thursdays is always a blast! He is one of the best kj’s around!

Amazing atmosphere specially if you go for fight night(UFC) there was a live band as well Kitchen closes at 3:00AM and thier wings are a must try. The bar tenders are great if you come up with a wacky drink from an app, they are always up to the challenge Kuddos for that.

Yes. Go. Great local bar. TVs for sports. Great wait staff. Great food. Kelly is adorable and works her ass off. Had a delicious burger with bacon and jalapeños and cheese. The point is a new friend and local recommended it and that is the point. Love Chicago. Love the Midwest. Love this place. Oh, if you want a tattoo you can get one here too

Updated finishes take this longstanding sports bar to the next level. They have always had really good food across the board but now the setting reflects the quality. Huge sports bar/restaurant with gaming areas and also a video gaming area. Sunday afternoon was not packed which lead to a great place to meet up with the gang. Large tables and high tops make it easy to accommodate groups. Drink specials and the good eats will keep you coming back.

Omg this place is by far the best hidden secret in town. Went there for dinner the Tilapia is amazingly tasty the rice was buttery and spicy. But it all started with the wings. I bet the owner loves wings because these aren’t the little pussy wings these are the big meaty wings for men. Speaking of owner he sent us an order of fried Oreo cookies. I’m not a sweet eater but I must admit theses were kick ass. My wife had me call him on the way home to tell him thanks. My new favorite place

Back again at this bomb ass restaurant !! This time I had the fish and chips, and my husbands got this delicious humongous chicken salad. I actually went in for there wonderful bbq but it was over for the season which was disappointing, but as soon as I got my fish and chips I was a happy camper. When I come here I get good service, good food, and I’m so full when I leave! Keep up the good work y’all!

I give this place 5 stars for many reasons. For one they have a great staff and great service. The food is great and it’s a pretty fun atmosphere to hang out at. I have become a weekly regular there because my friends like to go there on wednesday nights and sometimes thursday nights because they offer karaōke. John the dj is awesome and just makes it a fun time for everyone even if you don’t sing. Since I have started going there more, I have gotten to know a lot of the staff and I have to say that Jen is by far my favorite server there. From the first time my friends and I sat in her section we have had nothing but amazing service from her. So much so that we make it a point to always sit in her section and will seek her out every week. She always makes us feel welcome, she constantly is checking up on us and making sure we are good on our drinks and food(if we order any). Even when the bar is packed and hectic Jen always makes it a point to make sure she checks on every table. Sometimes I really don’t know how she does it all, but she always has a big smile on her face when she does her job. She has a very good attitude and she has a way about her that makes me and my friends always feel welcome when ever we come into the bar. I really can’t say anything bad about any of the staff here they are all really great. Great food, great service, and a great staff.

Rockys is a wonderful place to go. The food is great, the atmosphere is fun and upbeat, especially on karaōke Wednesday and Thursday. What really makes Rockys a place that I enjoy going to every week is the staff. The bouncers, bartenders, and management are all wonderful and very welcoming. However, the waitresses are the ones who make Rockys a place where you feel taken care of. Elodia & Jen are amazing. No matter if you’re a first timer or a regular the girls make sure you’re taken care of. Jen especially makes the entire group of us feel welcome and cared for every time were there. I routinely see her handling our large group while she also takes phenomenal care of not just her section, but anyone who needs anything. She’s friendly and accommodating with everyone and never hesitates to offer suggestions & really showcase what Rockys has to offer. I’ve never had bad service from her or Elodia. Fortunately the only waitress I’ve ever had an issue with is gone and Rockys is better for it. The staff of Rockys makes every experience there a special one and they keep us coming back.

Received the worst customer service in my life. My waitress Jennifer completely ignored me multiple times. She attended every table surrounding me and did not bother acknowledging me. It took me 30min to receive water from another guy who was just being a decent human. I ended up having to go to the bar to get refills and order food since Jennifer did not acknowledge me or my girlfriends existence in her area. Sorry I do not know the bartender name who put in our order and delivered it. she is amazing and wonderful at her job. I will continue going to rockys since it is convenient and they have a nice TV set up. I like everyone there as well as the staff is always nice and welcoming. I’m only writing this in hopes something is done about Jennifer, This isn’t first time she has provided poor to no service. Besides Jennifer I recommend this place highly, food is great, drinks are awesome and the dj isn’t too bad on the weekends. Great club/bar/restaurant.

This place belongs on Bar Rescue… Smells like stale smoke, very much a hole in the wall. I saw a roach scatter across the counter when a server moved a cup and they giggled about it. Yuck! The bartender was super nice, drinks were strong but after seeing some of the food come out I decided against ordering; I’d rather eat at Denny’s.

Many reasons for the 5 star. First just so nice. I could not decided what to order and I am a little afraid of smoked. So what do the do give me a free sample platter I mean a platter. Well I am not a fan of smoked but that is just me so I got the skirt steak. Just amazing. I left a big free platter of samples of smoked. Just not for me everyone else loved it. Doug the pit master came out to talk to me and Michelle the bar tender is a gem. This local place deserves everyone’s support. Don’t let these gems vanish because of franchise. Can’t wait to come back on business

The food is great! Rodrigo is the best bartender. He always comes up with cool new drinks. The only improvement they need is live bands on weekends, and trivia night.

The wings are amazing!!! They are deep fried and not too fatty. They were the perfect texture and crispness. I ordered the mild ones as I was not sure how spicy they would be and next time I will get the the hot as they did not burn at all. The waitress was very friendly and checked in on us a lot and I liked that no waiting with empty drinks. Hats off to this great place that is reasonably priced.

Well, this is a tough one for me to describe — this is really more of a dance club/sports bar than a restaurant, and we arrived at about 11:30 am, so not much was going on then and there. In fact, almost NOTHING was going on there at such an early hour. When we came in, there was nobody in the place, other than the help. They did have every TV operating, tuned to a variety of sports channels, but they were entertaining nobody other than the waitress.(Of course they turn off the TVs’ audio and use close captioning, or the place would resemble Babel.) I had once been at Rocky Vander’s — maybe two years earlier, and I was struck with pretty much the same impression as last time: THISJOINTISFREEZINGCOLD! I like cool temperatures, but I doubt it was more than 62 degrees inside. There was a sign in the foyer stating that this is a really cool place, but I didn’t think the message had to do with the temperature. Anyways, we were greeted by the sole waitress/bartender and we chose a booth close to the stage(which was obviously unoccupied). Although the place looks like just another storefront in a slightly seedy strip mall, inside it is pretty cool(and I’m not talking temperature now). It is large, has a mix of bar tables, dining tables, and space for dancing during the night. Sure as he11 nothing was going on during a Saturday around noon. The place is kinda dark, and has a brick and cement motif that is popular in venues that appeal to young adults. The menu is mostly«bar food» like sandwiches, BBQ, and fried foods, but I noticed they also offer specials every night. We just ordered a couple of sandwiches and people-watched, although there were no other people, so I looked at Mrs. B(well, she is a people, er, person). Around noon, a couple of young women appeared at the bar to drink lunch, but nothing went on other than the dozen or so TV screens. Our food arrived and I noticed that everything had a smoky odor and tang. I did not object to this, but it was a bit of a surprise. The fries were tasty, but(IMHO) greasier than I would like: this is a big deal to a geezer who would like his heart and circulatory system to continue operating. We ordered soda, and for the first time in my life, I think that they used too much syrup: the sweet bubbly seemed to be sweeter than usual. Service was good and our non-busy waitress was attentive. I can’t rate Rocky Vader’s for lunch the same way I might rate it if I were there at night or during a sports event. If a crowd would have been there, I might have rated it above average — or maybe below average. Maybe some day, this old geezer will appear there at night to check out the action and impress the babes who apparently go there after sunset. On the other hand, we old timers usually go to sleep about the time this place apparently becomes energized.

«honky tonk» atmosphere. Very nice people. Met Michelle the manager and Doug the pit master. Went out of their way to accommodate my order. Nice brisket. Very good ribs. Recommend a visit and a draft coors with your bbq

I used to come here when I was young to play darts. The food here is average and the clientele also average. It’s a good place to come to have a drink and a average type of food and sit outside to smoke a cigar or cigaret since they have outdoor seating. They have a dance floor which I have not seen used and cute bar tenders and seating in a group.

Well, I must say that the atmosphere at this place on a Friday night was perfect. A lively crowd with a dance floor isolated from the bar area and outdoor patio was refreshing, as my boyfriend and I weren’t looking for much more than a bite to eat and a few drinks. The place was dimly lit, the music wasn’t overbearing, and there were pool tables, dart boards, and a nice outdoor patio. A very ambient space in my opinion. Given the calm albeit fun atmosphere of this place, I was very disappointed with just about everything else. They have a fully stocked bar, but the female bartenders that served us didn’t know how to mix a half decent drink, regardless of how nice they pretended to be. I ordered a Malibu pineapple, which was served to me in an 8oz glass, with only 1.25oz of Malibu. The rest was filled with ice, and I needed to mix it myself before I could taste the pineapple. They charged me $ 6.25 for this drink, which I found to be quite an insult. My boyfriend ordered a draft of Blue Moon, which was only 12oz as opposed to the traditional 16oz of a pint. They charged him $ 5, which would be reasonable if he had received 16oz. The food was okay. I ordered French onion soup, which seemed to be a safe bet. It came out cold… I had to ask for them to microwave it. I’m not sure how you could mess up soup, but it definitely wasn’t worth $ 5. My boyfriend’s pizza was pretty good; it came with plenty of bacon, but he complained that the crust tasted similar to a potato chip… too crunchy. For $ 8.75, we can’t complain. Overall, this place is «so-so». The food is mediocre, and the drinks are overprice and poorly mixed. The ambient atmosphere of the bar on this evening, though, would have me come back to perhaps try another drink and play some bags.

I came here for a poker run stop and we ended up eating as well. There was a nice lunch menu for the weekend(not sure if it was specifically for the poker run) but it came out to $ 10 including soft drinks. I had an Italian beef with sweet peppers, mozz and hot peppers. It was tasty and they had the parmesan chips as well. I love those home made parmesan chips. There were some areas to relax on some couches and chairs, as well as typical bar tables and stools. They had a Unilocal checkin deal for 10% off the bill but I don’t think it applies to the specials.
