Soooooo psyched to have Vietnamese sandwich spot in my neighborhood! Sandwiches are amazing of course, but the noodle dishes not so good. They just don’t taste as fresh. I’ll keep coming back for their sandwiches and bubble teas :-)

I’ve been wanting to try phở for a while and the chicken phở was absolutely amazing! The owner of the store was not only great to me but accommodating to every customer that walked in through the door. It’s also in close range to the Brooklyn Museum/Botanic Garden. Also had their hot coffee bubble tea with the tapioca which did not disappoint. I can’t wait to come here again!

Got free delivery of shredded chicken phở and a papaya salad. Came quickly as promised, and after I heated up the broth the phở tasted flavorful and great. Fabulous noodle volume. Wish salad was more imaginative, but it won’t stop me from ordering from here again.

Awesome spot to get a delicious inexpensive meal. I got my standard order; 2 summer rolls and a grilled pork bahn mi. Filling enough to last for two meals. I love the flavor of Vietnamese pork so much that I wanted double meat. Other places allow you to do that but not sure if that is an option here. Arteries will probably thank me later I guess. Also amazing that they deliver and are incredibly fast.

Great Banh Mi classic sandwich. Shredded chicken phở was tasty and spiced just right. We carried it away and enjoyed our lunch in the comfort of home. Next we’ll try delivery.

The vegetarian offerings are really good here — I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend the vegetarian pork banh mi. It’s nicely spicey.

We dared to try this place with out reading reviews, because we were so hungry. Wow, we were pleasantly surprised of how delicious the classic sandwich was!!! My husband loved how fresh the bread was and I loved how deliciously pickled the veggies were!!! Great find!!!

Went with their classic sandwich and was disappointed in the lack of flavor. I’ll grant that it is reasonably priced, especially for what is a larger banh mi than I’m used to. I’m dinging them an extra star because the place wasn’t particularly clean. Most of the tables had crumbs all over them and there were napkins on the floor even though there was at least one employee relaxing the entire time I was there. Inexcusable.

I had the grilled pork and my wife had the grilled chicken. Both were very good. And the service was nice. We had the lunch special that’s $ 9.00 for a sandwich and a bubble tea. We had the Thai tea and black tea with milk. Neither of them was very impressive but Its the«banh mi place» not the tea house. I will be coming back next time I am in the area.

The grilled chicken(dark meat) sandwich is very tasty. It was a nice warm lunch after a cold morning walk. The place is small, probably fits less than 10 people. Service was good and the meal came quickly.

Great place for a Vietnamese sandwich. The grilled pork was outstanding. The vermicelli noodles with grilled chicken was also excellent. Definitely worth a try.

It is rather unfortunate that Banh Mi Place is so close to my apartment. It is so good, far too convenient and really inexpensive! I usually get the grilled pork sandwich and it is stuffed full of deliciousness. The flavors all blend together and the baguette is soft and flaky. One of these days, I’ll try one of their other sandwiches, but the pork one is amazing! This is an excellent addition to the neighborhood.

Let’s start out with a disclaimer: I don’t even like Banh Mi sandwiches. Seriously, I don’t. There are some people out there obsessed with the idea of a franco inspired sandwich with meat and carrots in it but to me it doesn’t piqué my interest. Even with that said, Banh Mi Place is awesome and deserves 5 stars. For $ 6.50 you get a full banh mi sandwich with tender and flavorful meat. I’ve tried the grilled chicken(dark meat) and the pork here and both are delicious. A healthy sized sandwich portion that’s enough for 2 meals if you’re not too hungry or perfect for one. Banh Mi Place is the real deal. Banh Mi — feed me.

I was very excited to see this place being built and haven’t been disappointed since they opened. I love banh mi sandwiches and this is where they excel. The bread is fresh and they don’t skimp on any of the ingredients(KEY factors in evaluating any sandwich). I’ve had both the dark and white meat chicken banh mis, the grilled pork banh mi, the pork chop banh mi. ALL have been good, with the pork chop being the least impressive. I’ve also tried their spring rolls which were fresh, but I didn’t really like the peanut sauce. I tried the pork chop platter which has a lot of noodles and veggies, which was very average. Their taro milkshake and lychee slushes are average and not worth the price tag. The Thai iced tea is very good, especially on a hot day. Great addition to the area! Small shop, looks like Chinese owned, but with solid Vietnamese sandwiches. Expert tip: Grab their business card and you can use it as a ~15% off coupon for pick up orders over $ 20.

I actually enjoyed their food here! From Seattle, we had the best Vietnamese places around. New York needs more Vietnamese sandwich shops. This little place within walking distance of the Brooklyn museum and the Brooklyn botanical gardens, is a good place to drop by for a quick filling lunch. We got the summer rolls and two bahn mi paired with their fresh squeezed lemonade. I felt the summer rolls weren’t really anything to write home about, but their bahn mi were not bad at all. I had the shredded chicken sandwich, and it was a very juicy sandwich. All white meat that was seasoned and flavored almost stew like. It was delicious and paired with fresh and pickled veggies. It tasted creamy with the mayo and mild hot sauce. My fiancé had the pork chop sandwich and I took several bites of it. This sandwich was delicious. Although a bit on the salty side, it had all the right elements and the veggies brought out the pork flavor and made perfect bites throughout. The bread the sandwiches were made with was awesome. Perfectly made French rolls. Soft on the inside, just the right crunch on the outside. Super fresh. This isn’t super fancy food, it isn’t super crazy portions, and it isn’t terrible for you… it is just a good old quick, awesome, Vietnamese sandwich place. The place is clean and the people are nice. I would say for bahn mi it is a little spendy, but we are not in Seattle. We are in New York. They gotta pay rent! And I would rather pay 6.50 for a Vietnamese sandwich than not have the option of having a Vietnamese sandwich! We will be back!

I had a(original) pork banh mi sandwich and original milk bubble tea. I actually accidentally spilled some of my tea and the staff were very helpful and nice helping me clean it up and giving me a new straw and everything. The food was amazing! They are very generous with the meat and it is delicious. I had medium spicy and could have had it a little spicier though. Solid bubble tea. The best part was how affordable it was! Although the restaurant is pretty small, there are some places for customers to sit. I would definitely come back here.

We walked past the highly rated kimchee taco joint to try out the new Banh Mi Place instead. I’m glad that we did! I got the classic(pork) banh mi, while S.R. went for the tofu banh mi. Both sandwiches were $ 6.50, and both of its eaters were happy. Apparently, it’s hard to go wrong here! A tip: ordering something«medium spicy» here is unlikely to cause detectable activity on your spice meter. If you want some heat, don’t be afraid to make your wishes known.

Very happy to see a new place open so close to my apartment, this section of Washington Ave is a little barren. I ordered a grilled chicken banh mi and an unsweetened iced green tea. The banh mi was very good. Lots of meat, too. Delicious hot tender meat. And decently sized. Not massive, but not small either. I wish that the ingredients were arranged differently however, you can’t get a bite with all of the ingredients. The tea was great too. Delicate and floral, no bitterness. Note: card minimum is 8 $.

So glad this place just opened around the corner! This is a no-frills banh mi shop. Each banh mi costs around $ 6.50…which is good by NY standards, although I do miss my $ 2.50 banh mi from Houston, TX *sigh* Each sandwich is pretty large, and they don’t skimp on the ingredients. I got the chargrilled pork and it was excellent. The marinade on the pork was perfect and the meat was very moist with just the right amount of char. Baguette seemed fresh and toasted to a perfect crisp on the outside. To be honest, I’d much rather eat this $ 6.50 sandwich than the over-hyped Nam Pung — the banh mi here is double the size and only a fraction of the cost. Pretty sure one banh mi would fill up the average person. They have a promotion where you can add a boba drink for $ 1.99 if you buy a sandwich with it(I think regular price for drink is $ 4 which is a bit much for the size). Also, free delivery over $ 10. Pretty sure the owners aren’t Vietnamese as I heard them speaking Mandarin in the back… not that it matters though. Oh, and not sure if it’s a place you would actually spend too much time in, but they do have free WiFi. Anyhow, great addition to the neighborhood and will definitely be back when I want a tasty, cheap, but filling meal.
