PCFLC’s Cub School first opened to serve local children of Princeton University faculty and grad students. Soon, there was a demand to enroll children from the general public and we expanded to our current location of five years, 16 All Saints’ Road, Princeton, NJ at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.
We specialize in servicing children ages 14 months to 6 years, including a Kindergarten program! We are unique in that we are very flexible (parents can choose hours for their child that fit their family), and we offer all levels of care including half-day preschool, K-prep or K program; the option of staying for FREE hot lunch; all-day programs; before– and after-care; drop-in care; and nanny back up.
Our caring, loving teachers enjoy a very low turnover rate & children benefit from the stability of a warm and welcoming classroom family!
As always, there’s no registration fee, no long-term commitment, a FREE trial day, ongoing enrollment and anytime tours.
We look forward to hearing from you!
History
Established in 2008.
When Lori Musa, the founding director, was at home with her four children during their early childhood, she opened her home to neighbor’s children for daycare. After returning to the workplace as an MA-level educator in the public school system once her children were school-age, Lori felt a void. She missed the creativity and direct impact of being able to interact with families on a personal level, customizing a care plan and learning approach. With formal Montessori training under her belt, she also yearned for a more organic experience for children, one that she did not feel she was permitted to provide in a public school atmosphere under the pressures of bureaucracy. When some space for lease came available in Princeton near a playground and ball field, Lori started a very small-scale daycare operation, but it wasn’t long before more space was needed & PCFLC’s Cub School landed at their current beautiful location at the All Saints’ Church Campus in Princeton, NJ.
Meet the Business Owner
Lori M.
Business Owner
Lori was particularly moved by the experience of parenting her own small children. With two sets of twins, just 22 months apart, motherhood came on like gangbusters! But while it was tremendous work, there was something particularly magical about early childhood, something tender and extremely special. Learning the Montessori method of education as an MA-level educator confirmed what Lori already knew — children grow exponentially leaps and bounds during early childhood, but not just intellectually. The Montessori method of education taught emphasized the Holistic Child, a child whose growth is intellectual, physical and spiritual with a desire to love and be loved at their core. Feeling very unfulfilled working in the public school system, Lori followed her heart and gave up her public school classroom to build a loving, caring, family-centered preschool that would instill confidence, positive self-esteem and academic accomplishment in young children.
