I’ve been there regularly. My husband and I like that place. Waitress and staffs are friendly who make us comfortable. With the coupon, the price is reasonable. We will continue to go there.

Other than the sliders, this place was awful. All of the dishes had way too much garlic and even the water tasted weird.

I ordered their Kobe beef burger, cooked medium. It was served to me well done. Seems like they should be able to get a simple order like that right.

Went with a couple for a dinner. The ambiance is more like a bar and a very typical restaurant located within a hotel(somewhere). The service was exceptional but the food wasnt good at all. We ordered ribs(okay), italian sausage with pasta and broccoli rabe(tasteless, very much needed some real virgin olive oil and garlic) and two other dishes both of them were ok. Its an average restaurant with good servers.

Love the food here. The ribs are excellent, the stuffed flounder is great. Service is good.

Service is prompt though waiter was neither enthusiastic nor knowledgable about the menu. Food was average at best for the price. I had the short rib which ended up being overcooked with the consistency of watered down jerky.

I took the family of four and we enjoyed it. I was skeptical at first because we went at 2pm and they were closed. Seeing no cars in the lot had me concerned. The restaurant closes between Lunch and Dinner. They open for Dinner at 5pm. We returned and were seated by a very nice hostess. there were not a lot of diners but we were trying it out for the first time with our voucher for 25.00 off a meal. I had the Skirt Steak Chimichurri and wife had the St Louis Ribs. My meal was good, esp the Gaucho Sauce. I also enjoyed Dessert, some type of apple cake with sour crème type filling. Our waiter did well and The prices were reasonable. There is a kids menu with adequate selections. The food came out hot and we didnt wait long. There were others who came in as we dined. The kids also enjoyed their meals which came with a Choc Chip cookie Sundae, compliments of Double Tree Cookies. I would really like to give 3.5 stars but Unilocal doesnt allow the half star. I will be returning.

Hostess, some big guy employee, and another staff member stood around yapping loudly about their hook ups and who knows what other banality. It’s hard to believe, but I wasn’t there to eat serenaded by a background of jabber. Cool? The manager was a dear, besides ignoring her vagrant staff. Food was whatever. I had the four cheese ravioli with mushrooms. The shrooms were yum. Hummus app was, I think, house made. Food could have been improved and in smaller portions. Sooooo few vegetarian options. Waitress didn’t know what vegan is. Wait for food was longer than it should’ve been given number of diners.

I do not know how many stars I shoul give because we did not eat anything but this is based on our 15 minutes experience. It was a week after the Hurricane, they had power. This place is also attached to an hotel. First of all the place was completely empty. We did read the various negative reviewes but we also knew On The Bone in Chicago and loved it. We thought«come on how bad can it be». We asked to go to the bar area, the restaurant section was too lonely. At the bar area there was no guests eating but 2 people at the bar having a drink. Next thing we were told cash only. Cash only? This is strange. They have power, they are connected to the hotel, they showed us an ATM at the entrance. We left, the brief experience did not feel right.

I met a friend for dinner here tonight. It was a first visit, and I had looked up the directions beforehand. Nevertheless, I drove right past it, because the entrance doesn’t face Route 1 and I didn’t realize it was actually part of the Executive Suites Hotel. We were seated immediately and served a hot loaf of sourdough, with both regular and cinnamon butter. The cinnamon butter is a nice touch but doesn’t go with sourdough, IMO. I found the wine list quite pricey, and was disappointed that my favorite, Riesling, wasn’t available by the glass. I had to settle for the white Zin, an unknown label that should not have cost $ 8. My friend’s red was 10. I ordered Chicken with Spinach, Portobello, and Mozzarella, served over a bed of linguine in pesto sauce. It was very good, especially since the chicken was not oversalted, as it is at every other restaurant. The chicken portion was quite small, and I think a side salad would have made this worth the $ 15 price. My friend ordered the full rack of St. Louis ribs. I had one of the ribs; the meat literally fell right off the bone, and was tender and juicy. The sauce was very good, too, though I’m usually no fan of barbecue sauce. And when I saw the nice portion of fresh veggies served with her ribs, I was very sorry that I hadn’t asked to substitute them for my pasta. Service by Ariel was excellent, and a certificate help mitigate the sting of a bill that, with tax and tip, was still $ 50 after the discount. I’d definitely return, but only with a discount. I don’t think that just because it’s part of a hotel that it necessarily justifies high prices.

We had a $ 50 credit at the restaurant but we ended up wishing we had just gone somewhere else and paid for dinner. I knew it was going to be a problem when the appetizers came out so quickly. The chicken wings were still raw and I greatly prefer the sliders at White Castle(!?!) over the crap that came out on little buns. Eric got a steak sandwich which had two little slivers of steak on it which was probably a blessing because it was gross. My fish sandwich had nice breading and was nicely fried but the fish inside was not good. This restaurant definitely does its best to contribute to why hotel restaurants often have such a bad name.

What a bizarre dining experience! Went there on a Saturday night expecting a steakhouse along the lines of Salt Creek Grille(or even Outback) – boy were we disappointed! We were seated promptly by a friendly hostess who handed us menus… and it was downhill from there. We sat for a good 15 minutes before our order was taken. My partner ordered the ½ chicken, which the waitress promptly said was a bad choice. Apparently the kitchen couldn’t handle cooking the chicken properly lately and several people just that night had already sent it back saying it wasn’t cooked through. Who undercooks chicken?! I’ve never had a waitress tell me NOT to order something, but I guess her forthrightness thankfully steered us clear of potential catastrophe. With thoughts of salmonella swimming in his head, my partner decided ordering an expensive steak was probably foolish and decided on a pulled pork sandwich. Appetizer was a steak chimmichuri – meat tasted fine but it was SWIMMING in a pool of olive oil – so much so that the waitress asked if we wanted more bread to dip in and sop up all that oil. Strange! At least the sourdough bread is tasty… but oddly served in a paper sleeve that’s about three times as long as the bread itself, so you have a paper tail flapping around the table at all times. My potato-crusted salmon was actually tasty and cooked well(earning the one star in this rating); the pulled pork sandwich was dry and accompanying mashed potatoes were room temperature. The only reason we came here was that we had a gift certificate – and thank goodness, because I would’ve felt terrible spending so much money on such a mediocre meal. I was inclined to walk out as I sat around waiting for my order to be taken – the certificate was the only reason I stayed. We won’t be going back.

This restaurant is one of our favorite local bistros. We’ve never had a bad meal there. The food is quite fine and the service is usually pretty decent. Our server last Saturday evening(we were there with our best friends) Lynn, was really one of the best we’ve had there. I had the best shrimp cocktail ever(is «colossal shrimp» even possible?!) and I managed to eat exactly two ribs off the more-than-generous serving of a «half-rack» of ribs. The BBQ sauce was wonderful. I took home the rest for(probably) dinner! I’m not sure if the folks who’ve been panning«On The Bone» have been going to the same location that I’ve been to many times, but I guess I feel compelled to offer a counterpoint to their point. We go there often(often with a «coupon» from ) and have never had a bad meal, have never encountered poor service, and have always felt that we received a good value for our money. The servings are generous, the loaf of sourdough(baguette?) is wonderful as a starter, the drinks are always as-ordered. I’m not sure what else I could say. Four stars means«Yay! I’m a fan.» I guess that sums it up. And, no, I have no pecuniary interest in this business.

We were seriously bummed out during our experience here. We went because of a coupon we had and because I pass by occasionally and wanted to try it out. On the bone is connected to a hotel and you can tell they put little to no effort into the décor and the menu. Our appetizer consisted of cheeses, crackers, oh — and grapes with a spider in them! I got the short ribs for my entrée and couldn’t of been more upset with a lack of quality. The«fresh» veggies that came with it were undercooked and pretty much raw.

Friendly staff and appetizers were decent. Service tends to be slow. Bar has draft Stella Artois and other beers. Better selection than most hotel bars for beer. Breakfast buffet was not so great. I would not pay for it. It was free with hotel stay. There was variety but quality was low. They will make you an omelet. Mine was over salted. Stick with this restaurant for the bar. I’d give the breakfast a two. But overall a three for bar food and drinks. Prices are high.

I went here about a year ago and by the looks of the reviews, not much has changed. The place was attached to the hotel, which always seems like it’s not going to be as good as it would be if it was a stand still place. I had gone on Valentine’s Day but late, around 8:30, it wasn’t that busy and we had a reservation. It took 10 – 15 minutes to sit and another 10 minutes for the waiter to come over for our orders. I remember the food wasn’t even that good for the price and it took FOREVER for our food, our waiter sucked, badly. I thought it was an more upscale place, I was wrong. We had a coupon for a certain amount of money off if we spend like $ 100 and they told us that they had to put gratuity on it because of the coupon. I’m pretty sure that’s bullshit, he just wanted a good tip, which he did not deserve. I left feeling like it wasn’t worth my time. I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are much better places to eat that are just down Route 1. Especially if you’re going for steak, it’s not worth it.

I just went there with my wife for our third anniversary. I tried to talk her out of it based on the reviews here and I am happy that I didn’t The food was marginally above average. I do agree with the other posters here that it is dramatically over priced as the steak I got was little better than what I can get a the Shop Rite. We had a gift card(you can get them deeply discounted), which lowered the price to what the meal was worth. The service was fine; our waitress paid attention to us, but didn’t bother us. I wasn’t much of a fan of the décor, it looked like it was trying to hard to look different and not like a chain. Maybe after a few beers it looks sharp, but not right away The bar area is large and spacious. There are a few large TVs about the place, too. The beer I had, a domestic marco micro brew was $ 3.50 which is very reasonable for the area. It looks like a nice place to watch a football game.

Wow what a disappointment. We picked this place b/c of it’s name and we should have researched better… Did NOT know it was connected to a hotel and had NO windows. The interior is ok, looks like a sports bar although the blue lighting behind the bar can get to be a bit much. When they bring out the bread it’s an entire loaf for you to cut yourself… The meats for our meals were NOT impressive, overcooked, too salty or bland. We went for a bday dinner here and it was so bad I felt awful for the bday girl. Now we have to make it up to her and take her somewhere better.

I was skeptical give the location, which felt like a lower-end hotel on the Rt. 1 corridor with lots of nicer hotels. Nothing at all memorable about the meal or drinks, other than everything was just completely average and completely over-priced. Décor is rather drab and unappealing. A restaurant centered around the ‘on-the-bone’ concept does not seem to be something that will attract many nor will last. Next.

I have never heard of this place, they had been open about three weeks. The restaurant is attached to a Doubletree hotel. They serve their bread with honey butter, I have never been fond of this idea. My vodka martins was fair. fair sent it back for a little dirtying. Décor is what you expect given the location, music was loud, but the restaurant was not busy yet. I did like the Howlin’ Wolf tracks. The menu had lots of steaks and they seemed pricey given the atmosphere. I had the grilled pork chop, and it was satisfactory. My feeling is that the décor, service and menu quality and the costly entrée prices need to move towards each other to justify this place.
