Have been to this liquor store on numerous occasions due to it’s proximity to a BYOB restaurant that we like. Never again. Will plan ahead next time. First of all, the place is dirty and unkept looking. A sign out front advertises«cold beer». Not! We don’t think the owner keeps the coolers up to the proper temperature. Most recently, bought some Riesling wine. Not overly expensive, but should have been decent. Upon opening the wine it smelled bad and tasted even worse. After finishing our meal we returned to the store to let the owner know the wine was bad. He claimed we were the only ones to ever complain about that wine. I asked him to taste it which he did not. Instead he got out a magnifying glass and looked at it saying it looked fine??? He offered us no refund and insisted we just didn’t know what we were talking about. We drink only Riesling and know what a spoiled wine tastes like. If the wine is kept the same as the beer, it’s doubtful the wine is properly handled. Aside from any of this, you will pay a premium for anything you might buy here. Better to take your business elsewhere.

Meh. It’s an average liquor store, no more /no less. Nothing particularly extraordinary about it one way or the other. I’ve stopped in twice only because it’s within walking distance. Considering it’s a small neighborhood shop, they have a surprisingly decent selection of beers of all types: low-end light«beers», American lagers, and craft brews. Prices are definitely a couple bucks higher than at the larger liquor marts(Wegmans, Joe Canal’s, etc.). It is very convenient to those living in downtown Princeton, as well as anyone who plans to dine at one of the many BYOB restaurants in town. It also saves you having to drive on Route 1, so I’d say it evens out. Folks who run it are very nice. I’ve always received good service here. Three stars because of convenience and service, but this is a decidedly average liquor store.

This place owes its longevity to being 1 block away from Blue Point Grill, the best and most popular BYOB in Princeton. We pop in here for a chilled bottled for spur of the moment dinners at Blue Point. It’d be nice if they’d triple their chilled white selection, but we’re always able to find an OK bottle. Prices here are higher than Wegmans or Joe Canal’s but the convenience offsets the price.
