**NOTE: This review is for the 10 Forrestal Road South location, which is currently not recognized in the Unilocal directory.** I usually go to Quest Diagnostics for lab work but needed to use LabCorp this time for specialized tests. I made an appointment online one day in advance – lots of slots available, and I was able to score one during my lunch hour. When I arrived, I was one of two patients. Only one staff was running the desk and blood draws, which is not unusual for the afternoon. The phlebotomist, Werner, was busy with another patient but kept checking in with me and thanked me for waiting. Waiting area was clean, lots of seats, and the patient information form was in large type and very easy to comprehend/fill out. This seems like a small thing, but so many health forms are in tiny print and not written in plain language. I was called to the check-in area about 10 minutes after my appointment time. However, the real reason for this review is to commend Werner, receptionist/phlebotomist extraordinaire, who talked me graciously through my wacky insurance situation, explaining every nuance about what the insurance may or may not cover. He was just as kind during my blood draw, being sympathetic about my health and reminding me that there are hundreds of lab tests and it could take a while to find The One that offers any answers. Before I left, he explained how and when I would be able to access my results online and who to call if they weren’t available. The waiting area was a bit busier when I left, but I believe a few extra minutes of waiting is worth it when Werner is your technician.

A rather grimy place to have a medical procedure performed and the check-in staff was about as jaded and uninterested as you’d expect at a lab-in-the-box. But the phlebotomist was *awesome* – seriously – and I was out of there in about 10 minutes. Plenty of parking in the huge lot.
